You know what? Now I'm tired of Kazunori and his "work of art" GT5...I love cars for real, not as Kaz thinks, I love racing games and when this thing comes out I'll buy a 360 and kiss GT5 bye-bye. After almost a year we don't have neither a brand new car or track, just stupid updates and useless seasonal events every week. Useful just to keep fans quiet. But I'm not a fan anymore.

As long as it's focused on good and clean racing, it's quite a good thing to have, I think. If the game actually paid you for driving well and clean, that'd be nice. This should, in my opinion, contribute more to the overall price money you receive after the race then your actual position...

In a video i saw there was a something like "racing bonuses" below the position bonus, so im pretty sure this things add credits for clean racing (or atleast for taking good turns and passing cars). I have seen one for speed too

... and now it begins ....

revolution is coming and it won't be televised.

I'm just imaging that first pick in a 3-screen setup. That cockpit looks great. How am I going to see this idea to the wife.....

Welcome 👍

This video makes it look like the physics haven't changed much. It looks much to easy to drift around a corner. It looks like you can do it without even trying and easily keep control. I hope i'm wrong. It's just how it looks to me in that video.

Looks like the physics have changed quite a bit. It looks very difficult to get around corners to me in that video. It looks like you really have to be on your P's and Q's to keep control. That's how it looks to me in that video.

This is a bit specific and probably something nobody else would care about.

The auto-vista mode looks stunning. Absolutely gorgeous. However, why the hell is it in a totally soulless, warehouse-construction building? I get that they want to have a large open area to maximize the amount of viewing angles, but couldn't they do something a bit sexier than a warehouse building? Again, this probably doesn't matter to most players, but as an Architecture student (nearly an Architect now!) it just bothers me. A nicely finished showroom would be a more fitting setting I think. The garages in PGR3 and PGR4 come to mind.

edit: Sorry this might be slightly off topic, I just noticed it in one of the GP videos.

Clearly you havent seen the videos i have, here probably he is driving with steering assist, i have seen some videos with the steering assist off and the person had a very hard time controlling the 599 GTO, he spin out like 4 times, you could really see a change of physics there.

If anyone thinks a 600+ RWD won't power-oversteer easily then you need to watch more real-world cars...

Paladin above is right, no-assists driving looks good and there was an official word from T10 that this time there will be no buffered assists.

I can recall there was a one E3 video of STi being driven with all-assists off and with the wheel, but I can't find it really. Will check some other forums later.

Fingers crossed for all above, together with fingers for non-ABS physics and collision-physics as in FM2.

If your referring to my statement, what it looked to me was that he was sideways without even giving it gas. It looked as if it was getting sideways while just coasting into the corner.

It was said that there will be more locations like that for Autovista mode. They are going too milk that cow.. dont worry.. However i would love too see the PGR4 garage in Forza 4.

PGR garage is the best garage ever. Imagine taking a birds eye shot of your cars in garage :-). Switching one car from one garage to another garage. That would be awesome if F4 had this kind of garages.

That would be awesome. I loved this option. I think T10 could implement it in conjuction with Autovista.

Funny Destructoid preview:

One of the key visual advantages Forza 4 has comes from what they call image-based lighting. Every surface in or on these cars takes in light so naturally that it's almost unbelievable. In a meeting at E3 yesterday Turn 10's Dan Greenawalt says that the visual technology used in this game is usually reserved for stuff like CG or commercials. And it looks like it. Gamers on the floor that don't give a flying **** about racing games were commenting on how gorgeous the real-time visuals of Forza 4 are in passing. Again, you're not going to believe it until you see it for yourself.

This visual technology was easily shown in the game's Autovista mode. If GT5 was naughty car porn, Forza 4's Autovista is the dirtiest, nastiest, most sinful smut ever made. It's like that high-detail HD Blu-ray porn that's reserved for the perviest of perverts. I'm trying to say that it's beautiful. Greenawalt gave us a good, close-up look at this car viewing mode in a demo, and I was impressed with the game's ability to render up-close detail so clearly. You can stick your virtual face up to wheels, trim, fabric and more and see every little grain, light shimmer and sparkle. If you're as car horny as I am you may have taken a road trip to a luxury car dealer just to drool at pretty machines. The Autovista mode is like an unlimited pass to do that as long as you want, without having to feel the judgmental eyes of the dealership salesmen.

I'm so close to sigging this
Too bad I already have a quote there. Anyways, this sounds fan-bleeding-tastic. Then again, all of the previews sounded awesome, so far 👍

What do you mean "close to"?
Check the sig....

I imagine this is partially the result of the player wiggling the steering analog back & forth trying to get into a rhythm; a pretty common trait for new players to a racing game trying to figure out the sensitivity.

It also looks like he may have been lift-off oversteer.

As said, there will be other locations.

However, I will agree with PGR. PGR2-4 had some of the best garages I'd ever seen in a game, esp. 3. Before AutoVista was shown, the previews about it made it seem very close to PGR2's dealership which was fantastic.

New video with Dan talking about Ai having specific helmets and racingsuits.

I remember the first time I entered the garage in PGR3. Seeing the lighting and the motion blur was jaw dropping. 6 years later I think Autovista will give me the exact same feeling all over again.

Getting this excited over a game isn't healthy. I won't make it till October.:nervous:

Some guy at FM.net made this.
