You can believe what you like, because what they've said basically covers every eventuality that could happen. No improvement? Sorry, it just didn't work out right. Massive improvement? Yeah, we said we were working on it.

They gave you no information AT ALL, and you're pretending like it's something special.

Best of luck with that.

Where did I say it was something special? It is what it is. Their response tells me that they realize that the AI is an issue, that they are working on it and that it isn't ready yet (and probably not close). What luck do I need with that?

And that's exactly why I'm taking everything Kaz has said with such caution that I can't even call it cautious optimism. The "looking for a breakthrough" thing is such a massive backdoor for them to walk through if GT6 comes out and is same old same old that I'm not expecting improvements in the slightest (for sounds, at least. Wasn't aware they said it in relation to AI) so I can instead hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

That some people in the GT6 forum are already using "looking for a breakthrough" as an excuse for potential mediocrity before the game has even come out, to try to preempt complaints about areas GT and PD has stumbled over so they can look like they were right all along about it, just makes the whole thing rather darkly comical.

I don't view it as a "massive backdoor" or "excuse for potential mediocrity". If they don't come up with their "breakthrough" and the AI is as bad as GT5 or worse, as bad as the demo, then it is a failure to me plain and simple. The excuses or reasons behind it don't matter to me.

Forza 5 will have no Night Racing/Weather while GT6 will have this.

What also bothers me about Forza is the cars do not look as realistic. GT6 vehicles look more photo realistic.

Check out these 2 screenshots at almost the same angle.

your right, forza 5 is rubbish.

Whilst its probably a given that GT will have night racing and weather could you provide a link? I've not heard officially.

Thanks.

I believe most of those images in your link are from GT5. I dont see what looks so realistic about them. 3-4 years ago it looked realistic, like how GT1 looked realistic in 1998, but standards have been raised and it doesnt anymore.

Have you seen the windshield reflections in Forza 5? Or have you played the GT6 demo? Forza 5 appears to be running just fine while the GT6 demo has a truckload worth of graphical issues.

This image is from your GT link. Not very realistic.

Isn't that the background used on the Gran Turismo PSP cover?

Well, it's obvious that the graphics and framerate will be better on FM5. The console is newer and a whole lot more powerful.

I'm personally not going to compare GT6 to Forza 5, but only to Forza 4. I'm just here to read everyone's opinions on the subject.

I wouldn't take it as proof and darn it; I accidently double posted. Sorry guys! Give me a second to do some editing.

Better framerate and better graphics helps make a better game. So thats in favor of Forza 5.

I find it odd you're going to compare GT6 to a game that came out 2 years ago, and not its sequel

I just think it's only fair that the last PS3 GT game is compared to the last FM game on Xbox 360. I'm just silly like that.

I do agree about the framerate and graphics though factoring in a better game.

And then when FM6 and GT7 come out on next gen at about the same time, will you insist on comparing GT7 to FM5 because they're both the first on next gen? Even though it's two years out of date?

what?

Imari, I'm not insisting or demanding anything at all. I was just saying what I'm personally going to do and why.

Anyway, that doesn't mean I'm going to compare games like that all the time. If GT7 and FM6 come out at similar times, then yes; I'll compare the 2. I thought of changing my mind and doing a GT6 and FM5 comparison in the future.

I think I'll stop now, sorry if I bothered you guys.

I'm ok with that actually. If GT beats Forza 4 then were in for a treat.

I think GT6 possibly could be better than FM4 at least.

Anyway, I'll compare my FM4 to GT6 once I get the game and then compare GT6 to FM5 in the future once I finally get suckered in to getting a xbox one.

I wouldn't be surprised. For the most part, I liked GT better than FM3, but once FM4 came out, it left GT in the dust.

It's a vicious cycle!

Since when graphics is the major point over playability, which is the true major point for video games?

Thing is though, GT6 shouldnt be aiming at FM4 at all. They should be aiming full on at FM5, IMO.

Than again. GT5 was aiming for FM3, and than FM4 came along and that one versed GT5. Sooo can't GT6 vs FM4 as well at least, because imo that isn't quite fair if you look at it. GT6 vs FM5 and not FM4 too?

But I understand what you mean, but still.

No, it shouldnt at all. They are coming out the same season. That only happened because they werent released around the same time, which isnt the case this time around.

Thats like having two car companys battling it out and only comparing to older gens rather then the brand new one that just came out. It doesnt make sense.

Talking car gens, not console gens

Framerate directly influences playability.

I won't sit through GT6 if a full grid in the rain turns into a slideshow.

I was playing the GT:A demo the other night and got hit with some serious framerate issues and it really pulled me out of the game. A lot can be said about Forza's commitment to a solid 60 FPS.

I don't think Forza 5 looks much better than GT6 though. The cars in GT6 look more photo realistic, you can tell the cars in Forza 5 are in a video game more than you can in GT6.

But to really know for sure, we will have to see some GT6 vs Real Life and Forza 5 vs Real Life photos to make an accurate judgment.

I dont know why thats always brought up, when I'm playing a game I can always tell that its a video game.

EDIT: just saw your talking about photo mode. While its my favorite mode, its to easy for both games to make it look way better, just through photomode.

Oh okay, that's true.
