I saw the E3 footage with Forza Horizon 2. To some of you, you may have remembered me say about Forza Horizon 1 that it is what Test Drive Unlimited 2 should have been. My only Forza Horizon experience was with the demo. Well... Forza Horizon 2 seems EVEN MORE like what Test Drive Unlimited 2 should have been or could have been. Anyone who's played TDU2 and seen Forza Horizon 2 would be fondly reminded of the experience provided in both titles. I wasn't sure whether the environment was Ibiza or Monte Carlo or something else from the Forza Horizon 2 trailer. There was even a little off-road action. That, too, reminded me of TDU2, especially doing off-road action in a Subaru Impreza/WRX. It almost seems like the team from TDU2 decided to bring their knowledge to the Forza realm to make Forza Horizon 2. Maybe it isn't fair to make these comparisons, but this is what comes to mind for me when I think of Forza Horizon 2. I just only hope there isn't something as cheesy and as lame in FH2 as the Solar Crown in TDU2...

I think this is going to be a great game. Any racing fan with an XBOX One probably will not be disappointed with Forza Horizon.

Interesting vid, even if the interviewer was kinda clueless!
Right at the end, Dan talks about how there are smaller towns and cities, and roadtripping online to Nice (city in France) which sounds awesome, I wonder what other cities will be included? Any ideas?

My little rant,

I'm a huge fan of the GTseries from polyphony. I die hard fan. I drove the Forza, didn't enjoy the physics and feel of the road, but I couldn't ignore the innovations and car candy they were doing at the time. GT is supposed to be for car nuts like myself and you can't even let me walk around my car (without photo mode) and open the doors? an award car or a new purchase comes straigth at you of the dark so you can't see the car at all basically? Terrible ailising to boot. Now you have horizon and horizon 2... that is real innovation, you have the track guys great, but we have all these awesome assets lets use them, the birth of horizon comes. Forza is thinking and innovating while I watch my beloved GT continue down the path of ZERO innovation. I'm still hooked on the driving feel of GT but waiting 5 years between releases only to get GT5 and GT6 which are arguable no better than GT4. It is difficult to keep holding out. It might be fair to say that I am loyal to Playstation 90% due to the GT franchise knowing it is only available on PS. But I digress, I would be so happy to see GT series start to implement some of the ideas Forza has and maintain that beautiful handling engine (NOT the sound engine!! haha) Sorry for ranting. Had to do it.

Ain't happening buddy. Forget about it! Just get an X1 and enjoy all the Forza exclusives.

Still not much info on the X360 version. I hope it doesn't disappoint like the first one did.

So FamilyGamerTV interviewed Dan Greenawalt and he said that we have more music stations in Horizon 2. Maybe this means a classic rock station can be a possibility.
Still they should have implemented the option to import custom playlists to the game soundtrack.

If I don't hear anything about the 360 version, then I'm buying an Xbox ONE.
I am already planning to get the X1 by the time Destiny comes out. After hearing the 360 version of H2 wont have weather, F5 now has Nurburgring, and with the announcement of The Master Chief Collection, its time for me to get the X1. I will still keep my 360 but I will no longer be buying NEW 360 games. Might still pick up used 360 games.

With that said, this is currently the list of X1 games I want to pick up by the end of the year.
1. Forza 5
2. Titanfall
3. Destiny
4. Horizon 2
5. The Master Chief Collection
6. The Crew (probably rent this)
7. Far Cry 4

Time to start looking for an X1 before Destiny comes out.

I wouldn't bother with Titanfall, I got it free with my console and it's awful.

I played it first on the X1 at my brothers and liked it a lot. Took the risk and I bought it for the 360 and LOVE Titanfall. I will get it for the X1 for sure. Currently level 5 almost 6 in Titanfall.

You'll notice the blue Corvette at approximately 0:20 in that direct feed video.
First two images attached are as it appears.

Very strange graphical glitch...

Can't say I blame you for thinking that way Stuchs, I bought my first Xbox for Forza and later my first 360 for Forza 2, the last GT game I truly enojyed was GT3 though I did like GT4 too. With GT5 I was largely unsatisfied.

I resemble that comment too, I came to Xbox late after Forza 1 was released and haven't really looked back (though I did buy GT5 on release day hoping it would rekindle my love for the series, it didn't).

That's a good list of games, if I go the X1 route then I will try to get one by September/early Oct and pick up Horizon 2 and The Crew in Nov. I have decided to skip right over Forza 5 and just wait for 6. Destiny might be added to that list later depending on how well it's received.

Adaptive tessellation maybe? That's how some of the cars in GT6 look like when far away. Then when you get closer, they're all nice and perfect.

You already know my hate for GT5. We are both mutual on that.

However, you should really pick up GT6. Its the first GT game that truly brought back that GT3 love and euphoria I used to have. I am honestly enjoying GT6 and I think you will too. They improved everything about the standards. They can even be taken to photo travel in GT6! I picked up GT6 several months ago for $29.99. I don't regret it at all. Very fun game.

Skipping over Forza 5 is understandable. I am still a little bitter about them removing 500 cars and removing the majority of the tracks from F4. I think I will only get F5 if it comes with the X1 for free or if I can get it dirt cheap. I still love Forza 4 and have years worth of gameplay I can still put into it. Plus F4 has dang near 700 cars and all the tracks!!

Edit: Had a type at the end.
