So Forza Horizon 2 will be on the XBOX 360 AND the XBOX One? I thought (forgive me for sounding like a dope) all or most XBOX 360 types moved on to the XBOX One. I'd say it's good to know both systems will get this title. There will be some obvious differences between the XBOX 360 and XBOX One versions based on impressions I've gotten from reading certain things about FH2 and what we know about it so far.

A 1K-member car club would be insane. Heck, one collective club of 1,000 members could EASILY be accomplished considering how many GTPlanet members we have (some 200K+ members). You could make SEVERAL 1K member clubs if 1,000 GTPlaneteers agree to join individual clubs. I would be okay with no weather effects for the XBOX 360 version. It would make the environment a bit boring to not have certain weather effects, but it wouldn't take away too much from the experience.

I have high hopes for this title, speaking as someone who doesn't have any XBOX or any Forza Horizon experience besides the FH1 demo.

You after reading your post @JohnBM01 I kinda hope the car clubs will be cross platform. I mean obviously we wont be racing someone on a 360 with our One's but it would be cool to see the different times from everyone in Rivals events I think.

Glad they brought tuning to this one.

I was being very careful on trusting them with the word tuning as it was used to mean upgrades in the first Horizon but the dev seem to have made it pretty clear that there is real tuning this time.

If I don't hear anything about the 360 version, then I'm buying an Xbox ONE.

Maybe.... they secretly want that!

I am already planning to get the X1 by the time Destiny comes out. After hearing the 360 version of H2 wont have weather, F5 now has Nurburgring, and with the announcement of The Master Chief Collection, its time for me to get the X1. I will still keep my 360 but I will no longer be buying NEW 360 games. Might still pick up used 360 games.

With that said, this is currently the list of X1 games I want to pick up by the end of the year.
1. Forza 5
2. Titanfall
3. Destiny
4. Horizon 2
5. The Master Chief Collection
6. The Crew (probably rent this)
7. Far Cry 4

Time to start looking for an X1 before Destiny comes out.

That looks like a top-notch list. Go for it!

Adaptive tessellation maybe? That's how some of the cars in GT6 look like when far away. Then when you get closer, they're all nice and perfect.

Happens in FM4 and 5 as well. Not sure about Horizon 1, didn't really notice.

You already know my hate for GT5. We are both mutual on that.

However, you should really pick up GT6. Its the first GT game that truly brought back that GT3 love and euphoria I used to have. I am honestly enjoying GT6 and I think you will too. They improved everything about the standards. They can even be taken to photo travel in GT6! I picked up GT6 several months ago for $29.99. I don't regret it at all. Very fun game.

Skipping over Forza 5 is understandable. I am still a little bitter about them removing 500 cars and removing the majority of the tracks from F4. I think I will only get F5 if it comes with the X1 for free or if I can get it dirt cheap. I still love Forza 4 and have years worth of gameplay I can still put into it. Plus F4 has dang near 700 cars and all the tracks!!

Edit: Had a type at the end.

I think Forza 5's doing OK with all the car and track DLC they've been releasing. Worth it I believe.

Cars and coffee would be fun.

Always mate..ALWAYS! I'm just waiting for winters to arrive. :D

Really?? Oh wow! Gotta have it! Though, here's hoping the physics are closer to FM4/5 this time around. Don't understand why they can't just throw in a few options or assists to switch between Horizon and Motorsport physics!

No, they don't.

FM4 and FH1 use traditional LOD models, which are unique models made for display at certain distances from the camera. Adaptive tesselation is an algorithm that generates a smoothed mesh based on a single lower detail model, thereby smoothing the transition between LOD states.

FM5 may do, but I haven't heard anything about it, and I have heard people complain about LOD popping so I'd assume not.

I was really hoping that Playground could improve upon the sound engine, but it's just the same as Forza 5.
The trailer was a lie, they just played rl recordings of the Huracan and R34. Meh.

That would mean that Xbox One has already sold 84 million units. One has thus far only sold around 5% of that, so presumably that leaves the other 95% still rocking their 360s.

Nope. Still many of us that decided to wait for almost a year to make sure bugs were worked out, more features were added, and more titles were released. I was also hoping for 3d to be out by the time I got the X1. I am very glad I waited since it still doesn't have 3d. Especially since now we have the option to purchase the X1 with or without the Kinect. And it is $100.00 cheaper.

I will have the X1 by the time Destiny comes out this year. I must admit, The Master Chief Collection and Horizon 2 were a MASSIVE motivation for me. Still wish the X1 or PS4 would have 3d. Oh well hopefully by the end of the year.

It's the same as FM5? Isn't that a good thing? I mean hasn't Forza 5 improved the engine sounds monumentally?

@GranTurismo guy There was a directfeed gameplay video link somewhere in this thread,
well let's say the Huracan is copy pasted Gallardo superleggera sound.

@Speedster911 It's a mixed bag really, some cars sound really good, others sound outright ridiculous.
^is a very good example
They said that they recorded the huracan!!! They lied to me!? :banghead:

Also what cars sound "ridiculous" in 5 other than the Mazda? Will avoid them when I buy the game.... :scared:

Edit: you are sure it's a Gallardo rip off? I mean they are very similar in sound.

Tell you what let's compare them now

In-game huracan:

Now, forza 5 Gallardo:

I'm not seeing the issue considering it uses the Gallardo's V10. Unless that's what you're saying, and you're just poking holes in their comments about recording it.

I know, it's the same engine. The E3 trailer suggested heavy improvements on exhaust effects and rev limiter sounds, the gameplay shows something else. I'm not bashing the developers, it's just funny that Polyphony isn't the only one who uses fakes engine sounds for their trailers. :)

I hear improvement. The horizon sound is a lot more beefy sounding, and there is a new sound in the background (hard to explain :P)

If they could just make the gear changes more snappy, perfect!

A bit beefier yes! But it still lacks that special something, gear changes like you said could be improved.
Listen carefully to the opening bit of the trailer:

Never sounds like that in the game, does it? :D

Ooooh like that lovely crackly popping noise when it bounces off the limiter! :embarrassed:

We should go to the forza forum and tell them they need to have this in the game RIGHT NOW OR IM GONNA-

@Terronium-12 when it comes to gt's trailers it's lie-ception! Good old PD....

Haha we definitely need more bouncing off rev limiters that bounce like real rev limiters. :D
I'm always hoping for that epic sound revolution... maybe next time with FM6.

I'm currently loving driveclubs recording procedure ()
HOWEVER their engine sounds, while refreshingly accurate, are sounding noticeably synthetic.
Image forza's sounds with driveclub's recording methods (once again,)

Props to project cars as well, for the most amazing recording of a certain 6.0 V12 engine........ ;)

You know, Frizbe brings up an interesting point from one of my previous posts. I kind of wonder since this game is on two different XBOX systems, will there be this sort of synergy and seamlessness with these car clubs? Take for example if a club of four has three on XBOX One with their cars while one other is on the XBOX 360 version. That's an interesting point. I doubt there's going to be any serious prejudice on car clubs and what cars crew members have and use. I am not going to think of this more like the Forza version of Standard vs. Premium.

Well, that's a major letdown. I'm trying not to be negative here, but I really did think they'd fix ALL the engine sounds in Forza 5. I was watching this vid of an integra at Spa... and after 4000 revs the engine growl just kicks in! I know for a fact this does not happen in a real life VTEC engine, modded or not. They've had these bugs since FM3.

No doubt they've recycled a lot of stuff from previous Forzas. Brand new assets my powerlifting ass!

They could have done all of this with previous Forzas too, believe me. It's not like the technology or know-how wasn't there. It's all about focus... and I've said this before, devs should be focusing way more on sound, the way they do on graphics and MP.

Damn, some of you act like T10 went & pulled a PD with the sounds. They're not perfect, but the cars are from sounding completely different to the real thing.

Speedster just shooting more **** to continuously talk himself out of the game.

If you didn't know the sounds were inaccurate until @Spitty told you and you loved the sounds, then surely it can't be as bad as you're now making it out to be :).

For all the bad ones there are amazing ones
