Well, the map area is supposed to be three times the size of the last game. I wonder how many countries they can fit in.

Three times the driveable area, not three times the size (it is bigger than Colorado though)
Its set in Northern Italy and Southern France, with places like Nice, Tuscany, Cote D'Azur and the foothills of the Alps. It'll be interesting too see how much bigger it is than the first game and how much of the "open world" we can actually explore in terms of hills, forests and fields, and if theres actually a proper city in the game rather than a few towns

I still can't find X360 screens. Hope they've dropped the yellowy/brownish setting that stood out most of the time during daytime and afternoon driving.

The yellow/brown setting pops up whenever I pass a speed trap. I go to cockpit view to get rid of it.

No I meant the browny/yellowy game environment during daytime driving in FH1. It's like that in practically 90% of the map. Colorado isn't really like that IRL. Maybe they pushed for the autumn setting a little too hard.

Anyway, looking forward to the FH2 environment. Seems promising.

You could adjust your TV settings if you're not happy with how it looks, like you tell others to do anytime someone comments on FM4's lighting or colors. By the time I notice the yellow tint in FH1, it's usually because it's later in the day than I thought.

Anyway, I'm not expecting officially published shots of the 360 version. Until there are hands-on previews and reviews, articles will have screenshots of the XBone version even if it's news about the 360 version. Microsoft wouldn't want anyone to confuse the 360 version for the XBone version and launch into a forum tirade about the XBone's "unacceptable" jaggies and texture resolution and polygon counts and "PS4/DriveClub wins!".

That wouldn't happen if the footage was labelled "Xbox 360 footage" :sly:

Wolfe, I don't really play that game. Just hoping FH2 has a more photo-realistic color palette, that's all.
Eager to see X360 footage and screens.

I had to look this company up, and it's lead me to believe we won't be seeing anything beyond maybe a couple screenshots of the last-gen. version. Any of the major titles these guys have developed in partnership with another developer has been for the portable devices or Arcade/Live, merely so the developers can work on the current Xbox/PS versions (Their biggest title right now is actually Little Big Planet 3, which is a shock, since that was developed by Media Molecule who have another major PS4 title in progress only giving more evidence that Sumo really just picks up work others don't have time dedicated to). The titles they've worked on are rarely advertised in comparison to the other versions because they simply don't generate the hype the Xbox/PS versions have & the games they have worked on solo are not blockbuster titles with little-to-no mentioning.

It's not a knock against them, but I wouldn't get my hopes up unless you get shots being released directly from Sumo because T10/PG is going to be clearly wanting everyone to see the X1 version.

The Xbox 360 version won't have a weather system, drivatars and online freeroam with traffic.
Those aren't 100% facts, I just assume it from listening to various interviews where Dan said:
"The power of Xbox 1 allows us to use Drivatar technology..." and phrases like that.

I think I'd pick the 360 version over the XOne version just because it probably won't have drivatars. Even if it meant sacrificing a few things. It REALLY hate the idea of drivatars.

Here's some more info on the 10% GPU give back due to Kinect not being required. Seeing as how Bungie were able to use that 10% to get Destiny specs on Xbox One to match the PS4, I'd say it's a positive sign that the new weather/lighting effects in Horizon 2 will be possible in Forza 6.

Yeah.. but FM will never drop to 30 fps. Horizon 2 is 30 fps, is it not?

Why's that?

I thought Drivatars were an excellent idea, if a little poorly implemented. I mean, if it worked perfectly as advertised, and the AI all drove like your friends, that would be pretty cool.

My friends anyway. I can see how some people might not want to play against their friends.

My real life friends usually do whatever it takes to win, so this is true for me. Luckily, none of them have an Xbox One.

Thing tht I don't like about the drivatars is that it's not really learning off you in a racing situation, but more so from a 2 lap death match. The majority of te time it's impossible to get through a race without getting your ass smashed in, T-boned, brake checked or P.i.t maneuvered.

Ah, so in a way the F5 AI is worse than FM4... i.e. displays bad race craft.
Not necessarily. They are definitely more challanging, the first half of the grid, the bottom half of the grid is a nightmare. Most of the tracks are tight in the first few turns so until you get out of that, it can be bad, especially with 16 racers on a track. Once your passed mid pack it opens up.

Stupid mistakes do happen, and its easy to take the right-of-way if you know how to manipulate the AI. It seems that if you're way faster then them, they tend to go your pace, usually resulting in them flying off track.

I just don't think it's a viable solution to A.I. It's like racing online...offline. Plus, I have a hatred for any game that requires in any way to be online for singleplayer gameplay. Except for updates. I hope there will be an option to just have regular A.I.

I'm pretty sure you dont need to be online at all to play the game, or even have an online connection, other then for the day one update for the One.
