I'm thinking they never intended to have ongoing seasonal events on Fortune Island, beyond the first month. None of the promo material for this "season" seems to mention new seasonal events on FI, that I've seen.

Did they ever confirm FI was going to have seasonal events running alongside the main game the entire time?

It still makes no sense to not also allow you to redo the championships every week for wheelspin rewards. It's the same issue as the seasonal PR stunts already being "completed" on the main map before PG finally patched it.

That and the seasonal PR stunts on the island work just fine...

I continued to tune it and test it:
i just shared a [RODS AND CUSTOMS] 1932 Ford DE LUXE FIVE-WINDOW COUPE settings, the only one under the creator name "Milouse" for that car, the one to win the Rip Rod.

Another thanks here also mate, well done. Got it first go and the only challenge i found was the HWY race and ran into the barriers LOL. Also your spot on about changing into 2nd real quick as that makes a difference and also not hitting the redline in early gears.

Did the taxi missions tonight, and boy, was that a thing. That offroad taxi is a pain in the neck to drive - it reminds me of when people make "jelly cars" in Forza. The standard taxi is a pain to drive for the reason most un-tuned, old cars are a pain. The limo was sliding all over the place.

And the dialogue during the missions was just bleh. They need to give you the option to skip the pre-mission chatter. It's fine if your driving game has crummy, unremarkable characters - but for the love of God, at least don't force me to listen to it then! Do they really think Isha is such an awesome new character that you just NEED to listen to her babble about being stressed and forgetful or whatever 10 times? And that dialogue during the last mission? Woof.

I can handle bland characters in Forza Horizon - I've been doing it for several years now. The racing is what matters, not whatever name plate occasionally pops up in the corner, denoting someone talking. Just give us the option to skip the unskippable babble please!

But hey, I finally got the taxi, so I can check that off the list at least.
I struggled to three-star the Shortest Fare Ever drag race mission until I rear-ended the Taxi on a metal rail and launched from the momentum.
Got it!

I was 14 pts late from the leader before the last race, but he crashed, i won and grabbed the prize :)
Great job! Shame that anyone without XBOX Live Gold nor owning the PC version of the game can't obtain the Rip Rod.

Attempting this drag racing PvP event now, hopefully I can find a race let alone win as I’m gonna see if I can win without the Ford.

Apparently I stand corrected. In that case, they need to fix this.

It’s possible, bit of luck is needed, but the Chevy 150 Utility Sedan with a 750hp tune on it can do it.

The Fords are good on rounds 1 & 3, but the Chevy can clean house on rounds 2 & 4 providing someone doesn’t feed you into the barriers. :P

The tune is by a guy who’s tag begins with Ryu. 👍

Yeah haven’t had much luck with the others cars, as of reading your comment I was already in the Chevy about to give it a run. My tune is 751hp so should be close enough.

Thanks for the tip though!

If it was RWD only wow would it be a slightly different story not because of the cars but the people driving them

Edit: well after making a return to forza, gotta take another break after that excuse of racing from majority of their community

It is important to turn TCS Off and play manual gear (that's a 200-300 ms gain on the first race finish line), and to shift to second gear very soon.
Be careful with the last race on the Highway, you can do it full trottle all the way to the finish line but only if you take good trajectory (as the car will drift, it's important to turn early in the last right turn)

Appreciate the tune, man - thanks! Got it first time: 1st, 1st, 7th!, 1st :) Although there were a few other Ford '32s that were almost as quick, thankfully there wasn't one faster than the others - someone getting 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd would've beaten me!

Even the guy trying to ram me off Greendale Air Strip couldn't stop me!

I guess that's the round to watch out on, because that happened to me as well. Someone who'd lost all hope turned right into me at the start and then quit

I only just noticed the shop signs around Edinburgh and how awesomely cute some of them are:

Thanks for that, I have a new avatar now!
I love the graphic design for all these business signs. So I got the drone out this afternoon, floated around Edinburgh and took lots of screenshots. Help yourselves to some new avatars.

I'd love to have a Fresh Bread t-shirt or sweater ingame.

Fresh Bread beanie! Or even better, a bread slice outfit that makes you look like the mascot with the monocle. I'd be glued to every loading screen watching my character dance in a bread costume with a monocle.

If you're gonna do outfits and cosmetics, then lets get serious Playground. I don't want a black t-shirt that says "Modern Rally" on it - I want to dress as a laughing red cup.

the 992 Is pretty good sounds better then i thought it would and has a mean rear spoiler that pops up at higher speeds, can't wait or the faster versions(going to do some benchmark tests soon against the 991 and others see where this stacks up):

Not a fan of the 968s engine a big 3L 4 Cylinder sounds like garbage stock or done up, handling is ok but not much else to say about it.

What's the deal with the mk1 Focus RS? I converted mine to 4wd and upgraded it almost fully and the back end slides out constantly. It has racing tyres fitted but you can be going 40mph off the throttle around a corner and the rear will drift away from you. I might convert it back to FWD to see if it persists.

It seems to happen with a lot of fwd cars in this game when you awd swap them.

It's a common thing in most FWD cars that get converted into AWD, because there's next to no weight in the back end. Thus, the back end will skid out. You should tighten the back end to strengthen the springs and damps to balance it out (just not too tight), while keeping the front end somewhat soft because there is more weight distribution in the front than the rear.

You should also bring down the accel somewhere below 50% (if your car has too much power), and deccel to 0% so the rear end is more controlled for corning, and high speeds.

The same thing happened to me as well, and this method helped me a lot. Been doing (and learning) this for a very long time. Hope this helps out with your problem. :)

Note: My Focus RS is dirt spec, so I'm not sure if this may work for you. Still, try it out and see if it fixes the issue. Good luck! 👍

Interesting....
I usually only AWD swap RWD cars so have never come across it before.

Accelerating out of corners in it isn't too bad as I can balance it on the throttle, it's when I corner without any power on that things get slippery! I'll give it some tweaks based on your feedback 👍
