I had my first game crash tonight while doing a forzathon live event. It crashed when I was trying to rewind after I failed at the windmill jump.

I've not had any crashes, but the loading times on the OG Xbone are atrociously long.

What platform? I had 2 or 3 crashes on Saturday on my X1X in 4K mode. Been playing 4K mode from Friday night launch until Saturday late night. I switched to 60 FPS mode Sunday morning and had no crashes since. But, in that 60 FPS mode I started to get stutter/lag during Forzathon events and/or at the Festival. That seems to have been fixed according to the patch notes though. I haven’t played yet since the patch was rolled out so I can’t confirm it’s gone now.

But kudos to the team to roll out a hot fix so fast, those T10/PG tech guys must have been on standy during the weekend and work to fix the most urgent problems in a Monday hotfix update just in time before the Tuesday launch.

Regular Xbox One, I’ve had a few crashes on FH3.

Finally picked up my Xbox one X last night and downloaded the game while I slept. Of course I was up at 4 am playing before work. I can't wait to get home; finished teaching my classes and now I just have to wait out some office hours until I can finally open my 15 super wheel spins. :D

I'm a bit confused by the Forzathon events. They don't seem as straight forward as the other games. Even after meeting the requirements for an event, they did not register as complete. Maybe related to my game dropping connection constantly, but it's frustrating since there is a time limit on the prizes. Will try again tonight, though.

Otherwise still having a blast with the game.

The last patch seems to have solved the slowdown/stuttering issue, so that's good. My saves have been much quicker too, and no crashes yet! 👍

EDIT: On original Xbox One

And here is the thumbnail for the 1959 Porsche 356A 1600 Super.

On the subject of crashes, I’ve accumulated 22 hours in what seems to be 5-6hr sessions and have not crashed yet using the Xbox One x. I wonder why it varies so much.

I'm on the base One and I've had the issue with certain sounds hanging, and the menus seem to be slow to respond at times. It soft locked on me the other night and fully crashed for the first time yesterday (both when I was about to turn the game off weirdly), so kinda lucky I guess. I'm fairly certain the upcoming patch will alleviate these issues for everyone though.

Has anyone got any tips for The Great Ridge danger sign? No matter what car I use they always get air on the small ridge before the actual jump and I can't get anywhere near the 3 star level :(

On the fence here too. Kinda not too keen to buy it due to what i've seen/heard bout the car engine sounds. That's quite a major part of the immersion experience for me. Think i'll wait to see if they will patch the sounds.
You can play The full game on game pass. Starting today. Wish I waited. But I don't knock those that love it.

I haven't really commented on the game here since release, I've honestly been too busy playing it

Like a lot of others, I felt the prologue to the game was way too long, I don't think we really need to be guided through the weather changes this much, but once you're out of it it's the usual Horizon goodness. I definitely think that the number of roads that have straight up wowed me is higher than any of the previous games. It combines my own personal enjoyment (some will disagree, IK I'm probably in the minority of people who prefer 3's map to 2) of the roads in Horizon 3 with the greater elevation change of Horizon 2, and multiplies both by a lot. And the authenticity is just so lovely, so many things keeping the map faithful to the UK and really making it feel like home, the abundance of british road signs, the lights and barriers at level crossings (the fact the game has them in the first place!), slip roads on the motorway, roundabouts of all sizes, I really could go on and on lol. I'm particularly a huge fan of the narrow, unmarked tarmac roads out in the country, which has to be the most british type of road of them all  , the series has been needing roads like these and now we have at least a few. On the negative side guess it's a shame that the game is carrying over some of FM7's dodgy engine sounds (some cars just still sound so incorrect it's painful), but to their credit there have been improvements, and honestly it doesn't stop this game being a ton of fun. It really amazes me how far they raise the bar with every Horizon release, but I'm not sure how they will now top this. Should be fun seeing them try, though

One infuriating thing I wish they'd fix is the fact that you lose your GPS destination when you switch cars. You know a game's good when that's the worst part of it :D

The game crashed on my OGXBox while trying to get the third challenge in a Forzathon Live event, and this was after the patch had been installed.

All I can say is map a route that avoids that small ridge as best as possible. It took me about ten tries, but I finally got three stars. I used my ridiculously fast Acura RSX with 4WD, Rally I4 swap, dirt tires and rally suspension.

I'm intrigued to know what the sentiment towards progression is like for those who are playing the standard edition of Forza.

Personally I don't think money is hard to come by, but then that is with no shortage of Wheelspins, free cars, cash upgrades and influence boosts. Could the progression be a tad grindy for regular edition owners?

I managed to get it using the Rally Fighter in the end! I got very lucky with the car landing just before hitting the ridge and taking off again

So maybe I'm just blind but is there not a way to leave a Team Adventure minus Alt+F4? I never have a chance to leave a lobby once I complete a race.

Also I have not been able to even join one ranked Team Adventure. It takes minimum 5 minutes to find a lobby and when it does there's always like 1 or 2 people who don't ready up and it kicks back to lobby searching.
