Also, as an aside/mild rant, some of the cars in certain championships make absolutley no sense to me. How the hell does a 2005 Sagaris or 2002 R34 Skyline qualify as "retro?" I didn't know "retro" meant "anything just over 10 years old."

Any car over 25 years old qualifies for "historical vehicle" license plates in most US states, regardless of whether its model actually holds any historical significance. So yeah, it's definitely just a blanket term for cars not built in the current decade.

Well, the early 2000s may not be "retro", but it's not really "modern" anymore either.

Beyond frustrated. I cant use any online functions or participate in forzathon. It's not my internet, that's just fine and no way I can find to manually connect to the servers. Gonna miss out on some cars! When I start the game it forces me into offline mode.

It’s not just you, I can’t get on the auction house because of server issues. Just one of those launch day things really.

I haven't played today, but it is launch day. Maybe they just got bombarded? Hopefully its sorted out by the time I get home, because I wanted to have a good sit down today.

Where are the Horizon Summer Events? I've joined the roster but the three summer events promoted in the menus aren't visible anywhere on the map. The first is called 007: Spectre, the second one involves supercars and the sea, while the last one is called something along the lines of roaring lambos. I simply cannot see them.

Instead, six of the permanent events have changed into time-limited season icons (ticking clock symbol) on the map, and the Royal Botanical Gardens speed zone randomly changes between a permanent map icon and a time-limited season map icon.

Yesterday, I was told that I need to play in Horizon Life mode for things to show up, but it makes absolutely no difference whether I'm playing in Horizon Solo singleplayer or Horizon Life multiplayer.

How far are you in the game? You need to complete the initial 4 seasons and Forzathon will "unlock". It's not available from the beginning. Once you've done the "tutorial seasons", then you will have access to everything.

Far enough to have already finished the first step of the Forzathon challenges. My friend is double my current level with a full day of play time ahead of me and has the same issue.

Quick question that I’ve looked and can’t find aanswer for, apologies if it has been answered.

Using horizon 4 through game pass and it let me install the drift pack But it says purchased on each individual cars but then says to buy each one for 300,000 credits.

Am I right in thinking that you get the pack but only by having the full game fully paid for (not gamepass version) you don’t have have to spend credits to get them.

I am passed the tutorial into the summer season, should have access to everything.

Early in the game it was established that your player character was not the Festival Boss in FH3. So it begs the question, what exactly happened to them? Are they serving life in prison for all of their cumulative crimes?

I mean. There are times i regret turning off rewind and then there are times i regret turning off rewind.

So...if you ever wanted an easy way to earn maximum Influence and Credits...
Get a convoy of 2 or more people, all in Peel P50s, with 32HP, offroad tires, AWD swap.
It stays D100. Set difficulty to Unbeatable and do every single tarmac race. All the AI are in slow D100 cars like the Austin Taxi and Morris Minor.
They don't stand a single chance against the mighty Peel P50. Enjoy the easy money.

The live forzathons get addictive. I usually don't care for multiplayer, but I make an exception for these. Oh and I decided to finally beat gauntlet with my Fiesta GRC. I think the Fiesta rally cars have become my most used cars in this game.

Am I the only noticing that the A.I. actually engine swap their cars now? Was in an S1 Anything Goes sprint race, and on the grid was an RX7 FD that was definitely 4-rotor powered. Not only was it fast, but it screamed like a 787B the entire time.

I’ve gotten 3 stars at a few different speed zones, in the same ‘97 civic I completed all the other hot hatch challenges in, and it’s not registering. I’ve done all the other challenges in order too. Am I reading this last challenge wrong?

I’ve gotten 3 stars at a few different speed zones, in the same ‘97 civic I completed all the other hot hatch challenges in, and it’s not registering. I’ve done all the other challenges in order too. Am I reading this last challenge wrong?

I'm having the same issue but with all challenges. Unfortunately I don't know the cause. Servers are still down for me, could be related.

I was reading on reddit, that some people can’t get them to register, and other people aren’t having any issues. I did 5-6 speed zones where I got 3 stars in the civic and none of them registered. So I moved on to something different. My servers are fine ATM, but last night I couldn’t hardly get in to the game.

On a side note, that 2017 #14 RL Lanigan Racing GRC Fiesta, is absolutely badass. 👍

After some disconnection issues (the message that pops on top of the screen) made me lose progress in the street races I had won (2 out of 3), I went Forza solo and I registered all remaining challenges with no issues.

My Logitech wheel wont work with this, cant steer very well. Like sloppy steering. Bummer

Back it goes I guess, i have to move the wheel a quarter turn before the car reacts at all. Unusable.

The season championships are one of my favorite parts of the game. One of them requires using the JB Aston Martin DB10 in a cross country race. It was fun having to turn it into a offroad car. I hope we get more unorthodox races like this in the future.

I just hope they plan on including lower class events. I don't mind racing super cars on occasion, but my main area of interest is A class and lower (due to how the PI is in this game I also like lower S class cars like the Cayman GT4).

I don't have the game yet. But am I right?:

- We don't have a single new rim
- No new photo mode features like hiding driver, ability to turn off lights and even that panning feature from FM7 is missing?
- No new livery / painting features (metallic layers, new materials and ability to paint black plastic and chrome parts for example)
- No new car features (ability to open roofs, working HUD gauges, turning off engine or ability to use lights for example)
- No OEM customization like different interior colours or different OEM wheels
- Car list does have more deleted than new cars compared to previous games
- Many car sounds are just wrong

Almost everything is just 100% copy-paste from FH3 execpt map and graphics. I mean, is this wrong if I'm dissappointed?

Or is is just that I've played Forza series for too long (since FM1) and it starts to feel rinse and repeat..

You precision targeted a list of smaller things that didn't change (not sure I understand the car one - the game has more cars than Horizon 3), ignored all of the bigger stuff that has changed, and then concluded that it's just a "copy-paste" job.

Are you sure they're Speed ZONES and not Speed TRAPS?

It's a shame the boards are already littered with glitches/hacks, though.
