That I figured it was part of the vanilla game, not the DLC. Engine wise, I really didn't feel theres enough difference between the two that warranted it to be a DLC car, but that's just me. They should have just removed the base, and added that in.

Ok. I agree that the first month of DLC isn't the most exciting since nearly every single car already exists in some shape or form. Though, I do look forward to getting most of them, the RX-7 in particular. I have often wondered why Turn 10 didn't choose the Spirit R for the Xbox One games to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, I've been waiting(and asking about the car literally every single time a Forza game comes out ) since FM4 for the car, but just wasn't expecting it to be part of the car pack.

I think this game doesn't like me. Haven't won anything decent at all from the wheelspins nor from leveling up. Used a super wheelspin for the first time and all I got was three, count'em THREE, freaking dance moves or whatever. 🤬
Within the last 10 spins I didn't win one car

The sad thing is if a regular wheelspin means you get one chance to get something sucky, then the super wheelspin means you get three chances to get something sucky.

Same here. I understand some people might want the "emote" (and the clothing and horns for that matter) but every time I get one I feel very disappointed it wasn't a car or credits. I'm in this game for the cars, not the weird internet fads people are into these days.

Are super wheel spins giving you better items or is it just regular wheel spin X 3? I'm asking cause they cost 150 FP instead of 10FP for a single wheel spin, so seems like regular wheel spin is a better value, if the cars/items selection is the same.

I think super spins have access to FE cars, but the regular one doesn't.

Honestly, it seems like it's just regular wheelspin x3. I get a lot more money/cars with 150 FP spent on normal wheelspins vs super wheelspins.

Haven't been keeping tabs this game in the last month or so, I hope you all are enjoying it. I did manage to play a little Horizon 3 last week trying to finish the rest of the Blizzard Mt and Hot wheels expansions (to clear my plate for this game). I should be getting FH4 by Christmas, hopefully I will have some time to actually play games by then, been way too busy lately.

And for the record, I always get bad spins for the first few weeks in new Horizon games, then it usually gets better after that.

Edit, oops, didn't mean to reply to myself, I meant to edit my last post, sorry for the double up.

Yeah I just won a 200, 000 cr and then a Porsche 911 GT2 (2012) on a couple of wheel spins (at last!) My luck may finally be in!! :)

The game does keep getting better each day I get further on the map. I have a Business Running (Rentals) and a few houses now. Every race is so good. In fact just driving and cruising around, swapping cars on the fly and the scenery makes this the best one so far for me.

It still amazes me how playground build these amazing open worlds and the amount of graphical detail and effort that is put in to them. You can stop anywhere in miles and miles of track or land and zoom right in on the detail around you, right down to the wooden fence/dust/flower/brick. If you drive slowly it would take hours to find every road and street (500+) Mind boggling how they do all this in less than 2 years each time.

Edit: And I was sitting there and the wind picked up, all the leaves on the trees starting moving and the weeds on the side of the road started to move, the rain then blew and drifted side wards as the dynamic weather and lighting changed. I was :drool: and they then have to do this for each season (without leaves etc) & Edinburgh all the detail on each building.

The irony of it being nice and sunny in FH4, and summer, while in reality, my neck of the woods gets the first snowfall of the year today.

Nevermind it being nice and sunny in-game: it was perfect weather at the launch event. Xbox Canada just sent me a four-season care package inspired by the game's dynamic seasons, and it includes an umbrella. Which is handy, because it's been single-digits and raining every day this week.

FH5 should be set in Canada.

If you're finishing up FH3, make sure to check out the Forzathon thread in the FH3 subforum. Over 60 Forzathon challenges have been made available by mistake, and two of them will get you the otherwise impossible to get Porsche 928 and 914/6.

I think I have the 914, not sure about the 928. I won the 70 Chevelle HE edition last week, that's the last one I recall. I have well under half of the Hot wheels races left and maybe 15-20% left of the Blizzard Mountain DLC left to complete. I haven't completed all of the races in the main game as a championship series yet either, exhibitions are all done. Other than that I only have the last midnight battle to do.

I'm still bummed about Toyota, I was racing the ST185 in FH3 thinking this sucks I won't be able to use this in FH4. I know it's not PG/T10's fault but it just sucks for us car fans. The Supra is another one I will dearly miss.

I have just found something and I don't know if its an exploit of what but this is what I have done. I put all the upgrades I could on a peel p50 apart from the engine swap, This still makes the car a D100 car. Now if you enter a race with it the AI rock up with stock p50's and well this is the result, I had lapped most of the cars before the end of the race and finsihed a good 4 minutes ahead of the last car.

So...if you ever wanted an easy way to earn maximum Influence and Credits...
Get a convoy of 2 or more people, all in Peel P50s, with 32HP, offroad tires, AWD swap.
It stays D100. Set difficulty to Unbeatable and do every single tarmac race. All the AI are in slow D100 cars like the Austin Taxi and Morris Minor.
They don't stand a single chance against the mighty Peel P50. Enjoy the easy money.
Someone beat you to it :P

So it turns out the recent patch didn't fix the audio stalling issue after all, I've had it come back with a vengeance today. I did get an Alfa 8C Horizon Edition in a wheelspin though :D

Question to the wheel + seperate shifter users from this FH4 rookie.

You can change the clutch option via settings menu in manual or manual+clutch.
If possible I want to use it as follows: if the car has an H shifter I want to use pedal clutch with my TH8A shifter but if the car has flappy pedals I dont want to use the foot clutch. Is that possible without going into the settings menu and have to change that per car? Thanks for any help!

I hope to find the secret society that demands AI drivers brake check you, steer into you to the point of crashing themselves, and traffic AI that swerves towards you as you speed past.
Just to ask why.

I had one drive straight off a bridge into a lake tonight just trying to crash me. (Missed, obviously)
Like who the hell wants that? Is there somebody requesting this? Maybe it's even tied to the fact most buyers don't complete most of the game?

And the CONSTANT voice-over interruptions... Is that a disguise for loading, or just people in the industry getting a kick out of explaining simple things 20 times?
I've played over 10 hours and they're STILL explaining events to me as if I can't figure it out. Are there people out there complaining they don't know what to do in racing games or something?

I haven't (yet) had too much issue with the AI. I've only seen them overly contest a pass a few times, and I thought it was really cool to see that as a (limited) AI behavior. It makes things interesting and more personal when you're going door to door with an AI trying to claw your way past. It's also realistic to what you often get from pick up groups online, so in a way PG is just simulating things to an even greater level than before. That said, it would be annoying if every single AI car did it in robotic fashion.

I agree on the voice overs, although I have seen a couple people here who have sounded very lost. And yes, sometimes it's been me! :D

There's a glitch which can arise after completing championship rounds in the seasonal events. More specifically, events in the seasonal championships which may not yet have unlocked through normal game progression will stay on the map for a while after clearing them. So there's actually a short window in which it's possible to clear an exhibition that hasn't yet been unlocked through regular game progression. Exploit that opportunity and the exhibition will already be cleared by the time it gets permanently unlocked. Anticlimatic.

Nope, gotta change it every time.
