I was looking through the quick chat options earlier today and noticed there are two Daytona USA quotes, and I really want to find out how to unlock them so I can properly annoy everyone by spamming them during races. :D
I know how to get "GAME OVER YEAHHH!" if you want to know.

It's (put in spoiler tag because people still starting FH4)
get to level 3 or 4 in the youtuber challenges.

What is it about co-op and work as a team that people dont understand? Ive tried the Cheeky Lambos event about 3 or 4 times and each time i finish first but the rest of my team are ramming each other like idiots and finish at the back...

I have to admit, the LaRacer stories are weapons grade nostalgia, Big surprise was the nod to Smugglers Run, I figured that compared to the classics it wasn’t big enough to be at the nostalgia table.

Sometimes it’s good to be wrong. :D

I’m also liking some engine swap options i’ve come across, obviously the trucks of mercedes and volvo are there, but the 3.9 litre V8 out of the LR Defender 90 being an option for the MGB is just a nice touch. 👍
BTW, Both the Rallycross Beetle and Fiesta can be de tuned to A class by swapping the 1.6 turbo rally engine. ;)

Maybe co-op becomes coup in some people's heads.

After receiving 220 unique cars in my garage I got mt first double from a wheelspin, the 1991 Honda Civic CR-X SiR. No problem with that other than the fact that immediately after the wheelspin the game doesn't offer an immediate option to sell the car for half its value anymore like in FH3. This will become an absolute PITA to manage your garage like this, especially when you start hitting the garage limit. And just like in Horizon you cannot sell your cars for any value, only delete them from your garage.

This needs to be fixed IMO. :( Meanwhile, if anyone needs a '91 Civic for 2000 bid or 11000 buyout from the AH...

Ha - took me three tries to beat it, for roughly the same reason. I was getting rammed by my own teammates trying to fly by me.

Eventually got a decent group that seemed to understand how the rules worked, and breezed by it. I like that they are putting those kinds of co-op events into the seasonal stuff.

I just thought it was nice that they tipped their cap to a bunch of older games that paved the way, and did it with some real reverence by having her call out the catchphrases, or talk about what made them important. Found the voice actress a bit... grating... though.

Man, wouldn't it be cool if the expansions this time around, were licensed mini-crossovers with a couple of those older games?

Early in the game it was established that your player character was not the Festival Boss in FH3. So it begs the question, what exactly happened to them? Are they serving life in prison for all of their cumulative crimes?

The irony being that the player models are identical to FH3's, which makes it all the more confusing if you've picked the same character twice.

I had a huge grin when I realised they even went to the trouble of putting three checkpoint flares down, just like the original.

It'd be interesting to see what else they add, if they ever did. Midtown Madness perhaps? RalliSport Challenge? Driver?

I've had some amazing races over the past few days. The Cross country runs being my favourite again. You can get some great air! The bassy 'Thud' sound when you crash is sooo good, I could repeat these races all day especially in the F-Pace as the engine noise is great.

YES!!! I don't know how I did it exactly but FH4 works with my CSL Elite.

After I tried the temporary fix that was suggested via the official forums I got my Fanatec wheel, pedals and TM TH8A analog handbrake working but no FFB anymore and the Fanatec wheel tab was missing in the control setup tab....
Then I decided to completely uninstall and reinstall the game from my PC. About 20 minutes later a new benchmark and setup session. Huh? The Fanatec wheel is recognized again and the settings of config1 are still in place. It works!! Now tweak to my own preference. DOR, FFB etc.

I spent about only three hours in this great game. Then it was bedtime at 3AM. What a beauty of a game with a very high fun factor. Lots of details both during racing but also in the menu's. This is my first Forza Horizon game and I like it a lot. Very addictive. Now I have to keep my son thinking the game does not work yet ;). Daddy wants to race.

Yesterday my glass was almost empty and now it is filled again. That easy
Very interested in this game. How would you characterize the ffb and handling in general with a wheel?

I hope to find the secret society that demands AI drivers brake check you, steer into you to the point of crashing themselves, and traffic AI that swerves towards you as you speed past.
Just to ask why.

I had one drive straight off a bridge into a lake tonight just trying to crash me. (Missed, obviously)
Like who the hell wants that? Is there somebody requesting this? Maybe it's even tied to the fact most buyers don't complete most of the game?

And the CONSTANT voice-over interruptions... Is that a disguise for loading, or just people in the industry getting a kick out of explaining simple things 20 times?
I've played over 10 hours and they're STILL explaining events to me as if I can't figure it out. Are there people out there complaining they don't know what to do in racing games or something?

Take a little break I think it's getting to you :P (joking) (I also agree the voice overs are a bit too much and that you can not stop them or even cancel them while they are speaking :ill:)

I was finally able to get into the auction house (after days of server issues) to buy the car I wanted, the 2019 GT3 RS, since I probably won't save up enough Forzathon points in time to buy it in the Forzathon shop. Cost me a fortune but, hey, money is easy to come by in the game. Not to mention I auction off all my FE cars for a good chunk of money.

Besides that, I started doing a series of races that I love. I'll put in spoiler tags for those who haven't done them yet...
The videogame races, where you race cars from popular games of the past, are wonderful flashbacks. So far only done a few of them, but it's great to hear them talk about these games. I don't want to spoil the exact game references, but they're good fun.

Didn’t realize that the RX7 Spirit R and Nismo Sentra are this weeks car pass DLC. That’s a bit disappointing, more so for the RX7.

If you have installed FH4 Demo, let's play the tutorial's Fiesta showcase event.
This Fiesta is an "R Class" car that does not exist. And has a 999 PI. This glitch also exists in the full game as well.

Thanks for asking. FFB is very personal and in my opinion the FFB in FH4 meets/exceeds my expectations. I don't want to compare it with other race sims which I often "play" like AC(C), Rf2, R3E, PCars2 and now and then GT Sport. And don't get me wrong I'm absolutely not trying to say that therefor the FFB in FH4 is better or worse.

What I like is the total package of FH4 and FFB is just one part of that. I played around with some settings (and not sure if they are the best for me yet?). I always drive in cockpit view. My wheel and virtual wheel have -about- the same DoR setting. Almost on par 1:1. A wheel adds more realism, immersion and the wheel feeling/handling is very good --> Enough resistance, rumble effects, understeer, no deadzone/numb feeling while steering.
Would like to know if other drivers share the same thoughts (or not)

If someone is in doubt to get a wheel or not I would defintely recommend it for FH4. Or if you already have a wheel and want to add FH4 to your race collection: it's absolutely worth it. Again my personal humble opinion and yes I paid full price for my FH4 title, just being enthusiastic ;)

Grtz, Brian

That V8 swap in the MG is a real thing. The MGB GT V8 was offered for a couple years in the early '70s, and only in the GT, not the convertible. In the early '60s, Buick introduced their versions of a compact car, the Special and Skylark. It had an all-aluminum 215cid V8. They only made it for a couple years then went with a cheaper-to-produce all-iron V8. They sold the rights to the aluminum engine to Rover. Just about every car from British Leyland used that engine, including the MGB GT V8. The crazy thing is that, not only was it more powerful than the usual 4 cylinder engine, it weighed less, too. So you got better handling and braking to go with your horsepower increase. They only sold it for a couple years.

I've noticed this, too. It seems like the AI have a new algorithm that predicts your racing line then the nearest car dive bombs you to get in your way and hold you up.

You're welcome. That car is a riot to drive in full "Wet Nellie" bodykit.

Do VIPs get double up on FP? I'm asking because it's not mentioned in the store description for VIP, yet I ended up having 260 points despite only earning 130 points.

Good fun during the first week with the game, but it has also been more stressful than I'd imagine. The first two days were spent clearing the prologue, and then Forzathon brought some rather challenging challenges. The points were finally banked and I could grab the exclusive Forzathon items with only 24 hours or so to spare. Making it on time was the stressful part. I hope autumn will offer a more laid-back experience, but at least there should be no prologue to worry about.

And many of those engines ended up being transplanted into early '70s Triumphs after BL's attempt to create their own alloy V8 went spectacularly wrong, so they actually became quite a popular engine swap. For the wrong reasons, anyway.

What's disappointing about it?
That I figured it was part of the vanilla game, not the DLC. Engine wise, I really didn't feel theres enough difference between the two that warranted it to be a DLC car, but that's just me. They should have just removed the base, and added that in.
