So I've been on the fence about this game. FH3 was beautiful but utterly boring. This one looks to be much more engaging, but the gameplay videos I've watch leave me pretty disappointed in the sound quality. It sounds like they've reduced the audio fidelity quite a bit. Anyone else feel that way? Nothing sounds "clean"...not to mention that a lot of the cars just sound incorrect.

I might get shot for this but I felt Horizon 3 was boring but I finished it to get my $100. I feel all Forza to me my opinion are boring. Don't know what it is. I own all of them Horizon 1 to 4. I'd say 4 is better but after 4 days im like normal i'm bored. Don't get it. I want to like heck love them but just turn me off. I guess it's the atmosphere, I don't like the Ice forza feel handling since the beginning when taking a corner.

Is anyone else experiencing a "bug" where opponents only use one, maybe two different kinds of cars? All my A-class cross country races today have had nothing but Nissan Titans as my opponents, which is particularly annoying when using a trophy truck.

If they still have that "first month free" thing for game pass you can give it a try there and just make sure to turn off auto-renew.

I've noticed that as well but for now I'm writing it off as a side-effect of the game not being fully-released yet since all the Drivatars I've seen have been level 1. I also haven't received any daily payouts.

Hopefully I'm right and it's resolved tomorrow.

If you have the Formula Drift cars, each car has a block that gives 300K credits basically for free, or a cumulative 2.1 million.

I'm honstley surprised how it's laid out, I'd figured that the car mastery would be an artificial-longevity type gimmick.

Oh really? Hmmm, I think it's time I give the Formula drift cars a try.

I wish that I could custom bind the buttons on Xbox as I can't put the handbrake where I actually can properly use it and that's kind of important(but I understand that's an old complaint as it's been like that for a while - I'm new to Xbox and Horizon).

If you use an X class car with "Anything goes on" or street race, drivaters may drive TT RS / Forcus RS.
These show the speed of the X class in straight, but the braking seems to be equivalent to the original machine.
In courses like Marathon they repeat the crash without being able to turn the corners. This is an interesting bug.

I wasn't either until I tried the Twerkstallion in FM7, the new steering makes drifting so much more fun to the point I actually want to try 3-starring the drift zones!

It is a PC thing. My PC is just barely acceptable to play it, but it is almost worth investing in it just to have the controller the way I want it to be.

I noticed a strange map glitch some time after finally joining the roster. While checking the map I noticed that the northernmost speed zone in Edinburgh suddenly used a map icon similar to the timed season events. There was that ticking clock symbol next to it, but later on it had returned to the permanent map icon again. Has anyone else seen this glitch affecting other permanent events?

You're talking about the Royal Botanical Gardens speed zone? It's currently a seasonal event. Three stars is 155 mph, but if you get 175 mph while in Horizon Life, you can complete the seasonal objective. If you're outside Horizon Life, then it just shows up as normal without the ticking clock.

Ok, good to know. So far I have been sticking to Horizon Solo but sometimes the game automatically jumps into Horizon Life. Maybe I was checking the map during such a moment then.

Do I also need to be in Horizon Life in order to see the three Summer Season events promoted in the pause menu? I believe one of them is called 007: Spectre. I'm asking because I cannot find those three events in Horizon Solo.

Yes, you do have to be in Horizon Life.

On the fence here too. Kinda not too keen to buy it due to what i've seen/heard bout the car engine sounds. That's quite a major part of the immersion experience for me. Think i'll wait to see if they will patch the sounds.

Finally! I completed the last challenge of the forzathon, I had to turn on rewind and look online for help, but I completed the speed zone part.

Earlier today I got all the Fast Travel signs and found out that I can only fast travel to my house and Horizon Festival Site.

Something else I'd also like to share with you guys is an easier way to get knock down the Fast Travel sign on top of the Church near the bottom of the map.

1. Get to level 7 Danger Sign Hero

3. Use the ramp in the side of the Church to reach the Fast Travel sign 👍

Yeah I found out about that earlier today. It almost makes it pointless to hit all the fast travel signs. You can already fast travel to the festival location by pausing the game, scrolling over to the Car menu and selecting return to festival to buy a car (para-phrasing).

Question about the car mastery stuff. Is there any way you can see the masteries of a car without having to jump into that car? It would have been nice that scrolling through your garage, you could also see if a mastery tree for a car is maxed out or not.

I already found out this as well, probably some of you have as well. The number of masteries is dependant on the rarity of the car. So rarity is not just for car collection rank but it does actually make your car better for skill point farming if the rank is better.

8 masteries = common car
11 masteries = rare car
13 masteries = epic car
16 masteries = legendary & Forzathon edition cars

Every car also seems to have a mastery to not interrupt your chain on your first impact. That thing is way OP to fly fast towards Forzathon live through forests. It costs 25 skill points but it's well worth it.

I reached level 202 now (seems to be star 1 and a new level 2, similar to prestige in games like COD). I got about 6 cars in total fully maxed out, I started with the Forzathon cars since they are best overall for skills and credits.

There seems to be a lower cap on skill chains and XP gained from that too. You can get max 10 skill points in 1 go and max. 5000 influence (= XP) from a chain. So during skill songs it's best to abort your chain before 50.000 x 10.

Someone of the Forza Subreddit found a glitch where if he changes his local time, he is able to do future seasonal events and #ForzaThon rewards, which made him get the 2018 BMW i8 Roadster early.

Why do I still insist on buying games physically? I turn on the XBox, 3.5GB of system updates followed by the install plus an 18GB Day One update because the game doesn't fit on the disc. 5 of my 5 and half hours a day to play it are going to just be download. But I won't buy another game on XBox till the next Horizon, where I would have forgotten all about this. I wish I wasn't stupid.

They cut them. I'd say they cut the '02 but I guess it never made a Horizon game. Curious, since they're better for Horizon style racing than track racing in FM. :/
