I think this is the game Verstappen blew up on live stream because it kept crashing during a 24 hour event
It was not.

That happened before Rennsport was available in any form, and Rennsport to this day doesn't contain the track (Le Mans) or any of the cars (LMP2) used in that event.

It has enough issues without needing more that aren't real.

Edit: Heh, predictable response. Some folk just aren't used to being told that they're not right.

I've never seen the appeal of this title, it offer's nothing over other tities and I don't even know if they promised anything better like mine blowing physics. If its not up to par to the competition it at least needs a host of tracks we can't get in other titles and look nice and clean. That trailer is way over exaggerated how good it visually looks.

Just another one PC racing game what try to take some public from the Forza and Gran Turismo.

Sadly it have some new Hypercar WEC cars in there...c'mon PD

Agreed, it always seemed like another "GT3 at Spa" simulator to me. ACC satisfied that niche when this was revealed, and Rennsport sadly didn't seem to bring anything unique to the table.

They could have picked anything, V8 supercars, trophy trucks, trucks, I would have been excited for something different but no let's do something the player base can already get.

Won't be on console, they will want to sell, I'd be keeping an eye on it but I'm not happy with the dev tbh anything with NFT in games in general is a red flag to me. Maybe it will be a nice coaster

This game has confirmed to have crossplay and crosssave function. I doubt it will have different package. It will be definately free2play to have parity with pc

Yes, but there were a lot of games that did poorly in the beggining and started to get improved also with player numbers.
There is still time. I am not trying to defend this game, I just think it is too early to put it in the trash bin.

And even then, lets look at what is offered by the games I just compared:

Le Mans Ultimate: The first licensed title in over a decade solely focused on content centered around the 24 Hours Of Le Mans (and the WEC).

Assetto Corsa EVO: A driving sim that will offer the likes of a Free roam environment (Something that isn't really offered in realistic driving sims)

So when it comes to Rennsport, what does it offer? Just cars nearly everyone else has? Just tracks that can be found elsewhere?

You see that kinda matters when it comes to those player numbers: People want something interesting beyond another GT3 at Spa simulator and at the moment, I don't see how it'll get better when it at the moment it doesn't appear to offer anything interesting enough for people to want to invest their attention or money.

I will buy it day one if we can use psvr2..
VR Support has been removed from the PC versions (as it was terrible), so don't hold your breath.

It's not guaranteed to be free-to-play, it's already been stated that they have said that the monetisation model will change.

Monetisation model feels more like changes to microtransactions etc not making this game buy2play but we should wait and see.

If it will be buy2pkay I don’t see too much appeal either.

Should Rennsport be on a console simracers wish list?

I had a good laugh when you said you were actually quite disappointed you downloaded this onto your Steam account and spent time driving it. 😂
Thank you for that. I don't think it's the worst thing to ever exist and it does look better than I remember from your try on it here. I think this title is for people on console who want to pay into an esports experience. That is definitely not what I'm after personally but maybe the 50 people that are will be happy. 🤷‍♂️

For console players, we're limited in modern touring cars and prototypes and hyper cars.

Forza do have an array of up to date touring cars and WEC cars. GRID is another. Super Woden II is pretty much the only other console title with touring cars and those are classic ones at that.

PC2 have one in the Opel TCR.

This would be a good opportunity for a new to console game to feature modern touring cars/TCR. I know not to expect any BTCC machines, but I feel it would do wonders for a developer to have touring cars available.

We are still waiting for more simracing on consoles. Roght now the only choices are GT7/Forza and ACC. Still AC Evo, Project Motor Racing and LMU are close but still didn’t arrive.

I wonder is Automobilista 2 possible. Should work great on ps5/xbox

PC2 had a few more, the BMW 320 TC, AMG45, and Megane TC as well.

Unfortunately, while console offers a lot of convenience, it doesn't get the full choices around.

LMU is likely the closest right now (but not confirmed for console release yet) and it's great, ACE is still too early in EA on PC for a console release to even be known yet, and PMR is subject to sorting the Ian Bell marketing vs reality cloud out (still have my fingers crossed it will be a good one).

AMS2 should be possible, but it's a small team and would be potentially quite a challenge without additional assistance. Again, it's a great title, but it's main focus is on South American race series and the (pretty much entire history) of Formula racing.

RaceRoom is the main one for all manner of Touring Car series, but the chances of a console release has never been publicly hinted at by the dev team. That has:

DTM: 92/95/13/14/15/16/20/21/22/23/24
Group 5
Super Touring
Touring Classics
WTCC/WTCR: 13/14/15/16/17/18/20/21/22

Just for completion and because I am still hoping for LMP2 on PS5 there will come "endurance motorsport series" bei Nacon. First gameplay last year didn't look too bad...

Yeah I think the previous gen was better in that regard we had both base AC project cars 1, and later more games from that genre.

I think there was confirmation that LMU console development is ongoing, and there was even confirmation of supportong PS5 Pro. AC Evo is a long way but at least it was confirmed to be released on both consoles.

AMS2 biggest problem is the small team but it would be great if released

This is nancon developing and the same engine as Test Drive Unlimired Solar Crown. I am afraid it could be awfull.
