That new Festival Playlist is a good quality of life improvement, but it's really the same game mechanics with a fresh coat of paint.

65 GTO, Porsche 914, Elise S1 ... all exclusive cars.
I am tired of this system. It is forced to take a troublesome challenge like weekly. And all that hostage is the car I loved in the past Forza.
Forza Horizon is a fun game, but keeping increasing exclusive cars turns this "game" into an obligation like "work" and deprives him of pleasure.

I wish they will unlock almost all cars someday. Like FM7.

That's the price of free content. PG need a return on that content somehow.

So the Festival playlist is essentially the Showcase events with new cars instead of the original line up.

Does that mean the likely new candidate for the Moto Cross showcase is the WRX Rally Car like it was shown in the original trailer? :)

Some of these new cars introduced (like the 914) will need 100% Festival Playlist completion which means all of the challenges for that season will need to be completed, including the Trial, Season PR Stunt etc etc for that week.

Playground seem to be doubling down on the timed exclusive rewards which I'm sure will go down with people on the Forza forums, Reddit lol

Oh crap. I don't mind too much about the timed rewards (they'll all come back again at some point I guess), but I do object to reward cars which I need to beat or co-op with other people to get :( I mean, we've only had to do that for one or two cars so far. Never mind that having to do 100% of a playlist/season is a lot more effort for each car, and nobody is going to like all of the challenge types.

There doing this to stop the people who go forward in time to get new cars, by having it behind an online only wall it can't be won.

Could they not have, say, patched the exploit out? Or is that just too expensive? Swatting players' hands away is rarely the correct solution to exploits created and perpetuated by lazy programming, although who knows, maybe it's a stopgap until they develop a solution.

I'm absolutely enraged honestly lol. The only reason I'm calm about is that I have a thousand other more serious/difficult challenges in life to deal with.

First world problems and all that, missing out on a video game car because stupid requirements isn't that important when you're worried about losing your actual car.

Thankfully it's spring break this coming week, need to grind out FP for the MC12 and the Fiesta (which is the final rally/rallycross car I need to have all of them IIRC.)

FP comes pretty easy honestly, just farm skill points at the dunes, jumps, drift zones, whatever and do Forzathon live events when they show up. 60 FP if you have VIP and they usually only take 10 minutes with a bad group and happen fairly regularly.

Getting the 100% completion reward will be chore if a win for the Trials and Playground Games is needed, I still don’t get why are they forcing this down to the players.

Single player events and challenges has been fine all the while but forcing players to do the silly and disastrous MP is just awful.

Also, what’s the point of Forzathon shop now if all the new stuff are going to be obtained through these challenges. The amount of FP per player will just keep increasing when players has nothing to spend.

The game just randomly decided to give me all the achievements for completing the Taxi, BRG and Skills stories... even though I completed all of then weeks or months ago... :odd:
Those are probably the new achievements they added after the stream.

If you did them already I guess they retroactively unlock the achievements.

I really hope they don't lock exclusive cars behind playground games, it's bad enough having to teach slow teammates during the co-op trial to ride the walls in order to get a win. It's impossible to win those events with poor teammates.

Mine did the same, but I haven't even completed any of those stories yet.

I noticed that too - In my case, I haven't touched the skills story yet but apparently I've completed all the chapters already?

It must be a glitch only affecting the achievements. In-game progress, or lack thereof, is unaffected.

The only thing bothering me with the new seasonal system is that we're expected to complete all the daily Forzathon challenges. During my busiest weeks I have managed to grab the weekly exclusive items by spending one evening on FH4 every week, but going forward the game needs a boot up two or three times a week since 7 weekly Forzathon challenges cannot be cleared in one sitting. I can imagine it will become stressful every now and then, and the developers should be careful not to make the game feel more like work than relaxation.

Remember you can do three dailies in one sitting, then leave for three days, then do more three and finally the next one the next day. So it's manageable.
