With all this new way to ''play'' thing happening, i just don't want to play the game anymore. Why would i play if i know i'll not be able to get the new cars? Why should i force myself to do playground games when i definitely don't want to.

I work 40 hours/week, i don't always wanna go on Forza when i come home, i got stuff to do other than lose my time on those awful playground games. PG really missed the mark on this one.

I think this would be better if the new car was at 50 or 75 percent, and then the 100% car was a hard to optain FE car or something. I just want every non FE and this is going ti make that challenging for the near future.

Going by forum posts at the official forums and Discord, this "new way to play" with forced online events isn't popular. Good start.

But of course. People complained about the damn Trials, then they add even more ******** on top of it. I have some other games I want to play and I'm forced to grind FH4 to earn the bonuses.

I'm quite on the fence about this new playlist thing to be honest, I want to try to get to 50% without doing the multiplayer stuff.

It can be done. I left those two for last and I got over 50% on the Season progress. I'm at 33% on the Series progress with everything including online games and races completed.

It's nice. I wonder how we acquire it? It's not in the autoshow and it doesn't appear to be a reward car.
I just answered my own question. The 2019 BMW Z4 will be the 50% completion reward for the next Spring season. The M3 GTR is the 100% reward.

Never tried the playground games, didn't really interest me. What does it involve, bumper cars or something? I mostly keep it single player, in the multiplayer races I've done even when it's team racing the other players like to divebomb you off the road to win.

The new playlist looks bad from what I've seen, needing a win for both Trials and Playground for 100%. Also needed to complete all championships, PR stunts and weekly Forzathon for 50% is way too time consuming.

Won't be touching FH4 until Spring for the new Z4, time to look into my backlog to see what games I've bought but yet to touch it.

I thought you just had to do a few unranked adventures and eventually you'll be qualified.
For the first time ever, I tried unranked adventures today. I ran a couple of race series. Didn't get qualified. I guess I'll just keep doing it until I am.

At least I already had the right car built for the co-op championship. I built my 2016 Cadillac CTS-V into an S1 900 rally monster, and it's amazing. It launches like a rocket, tops out at 205 mph and still corners reasonably well. I was first or second in every round.

The game tells you how many ranked series you need to complete before getting a ranking. Should be the first thing you see when you click on Ranked adventure and it gives you the option between Team Racing, Playground, and Free For All.

As an aside, the new RTR Spec 5 Mustang has an option to swap in the 7.2L Roush-Yates V8 that the RTR drift cars use. Makes 1000HP, revs to ~9500 RPM and screams like a banshee. And if that wasn't enough, you can Turbo/Super/Procharge it to roughly 1700 HP. You can actually do all that, give AWD, Race tires with the widest possible tread, front and rear wing options, and it'll stay in S2 with some room to spare. Maxxing it brings it into X-Class.

As for the playlist system, I'm not a fan overall. I really like that it gives all the seasonal events an challenges in an actually organized fashion, makes it easy to see what's left to do. The problem is that in order to get 100%, you not only have to play the Trial and PG games with randos, but you have to win. I don't know about anyone else, but I have the worst luck when it comes to these modes. In attempting to earn a second Hoonigan RS200, I've lost the PG games event 4 times in a row. That's super frustrating when I'm trying to do everything I can to win, but my teammates seemingly aren't up to the task. It makes the whole thing seem like a chore, especially considering that you have to 100% each season in order to get arguably the rarest car in the game. Fun times ahead.

For the unranked thing, you need to reach level 3 I believe in unranked, then you can do ranked. I did just team racing, didn't care if my team won or lost. I'm trying to get to 5 since there is an achievement for it. However, it seems there are disconnect issues with online adventure. Nothing like racing and then getting disconnected. Waste of time.

I see ManteoMax has this for the adventure:

"*Although Online Adventure appears in each season's menu, Adventure is not required for Seasonal completion; it is only required for 100% Series completion. Qualify by playing 10 unranked adventures any time within the four-week series. Setting a lap time in a Monthly Rivals event may also be required later for Series completion, TBA."

Clearly if you are going for the Capri FE, then it IS required to get 100%. This also means you don't have to play ranked at all (according to Max's post)......

I’ll be honest, I’ve been quite lucky the past 2 weeks on the seasonal playground games, The Isetta event for example I got paired with 3 A Class’s and one D class.

The other team? 1 A class and 4 D class’s, but to their credit they stayed for all 5 rounds. :P

This weeks event was a similar story, 4 V 5, but the foursome had a Viper, Monte Carlo, one Vette and my Commodore.

The other team also had a Commodore, but 4 stock Z06 vettes.

They lasted till half way through round 2.

And I’ve already hit the 50% mark on the series so that’s a F50 GT I’ll be letting go for the lowest AH price. :D

I’m gunning for that long over due Capri FE. :mischievous:

I want the prize cars but I don't want to go online to get them. My experiences have been less than stellar playing with others. After all, everyone still remembers the Mosler challenge right?

Playground Games are ********. They're best of 5 and the current map (Railroad) sucks.

What's worse is that this mode is supposed to be recreational. As in, you take a break from the track and don't care about winning. FM7 had one Forzathon challenge requiring you to do Pass the It back in March or April last year, everyone complained, and it never surfaced again.

Playground just doesn't get it. And I know it's their doing and not Microsoft's due to some statements they issued in past streams. Microsoft should certainly benefit from Playground forcing people to play FH4 daily, but I don't think Phil Spencer is the guy to blame for it.

10 gears in the RTR mustang feels weird.

It's the way Vaughn Gittin Jr. "envisioned" it. :)

Not even a podium will count? They should at least do that.

Can the 10-speed actually handle 1,000 Nm of torque? lol

Oh well, it's still a torque converter so it just "might".

The "specs" are stages for Gittin's new RTR tuning shop. In the website you can see up to Spec 3, which comes with a 700 bhp supercharged V8. Spec 5 is above that, so maybe you're actually supposed to swap in either of those engines (5.2L is the Voodoo) but more realistically the 7.2L, which is as badass as the car anyway. No better publicity than featuring your highest model and letting the player spec it however they want.

This is Vaughn showing Brad and Ken how to get 'em things done. :D

They're team games, you just have to be on the winning side. I was on the winning side of the Trial with 2 wins and 2 losses, so you might only need to win two of the four rounds which is quite reasonable - I mean, ok, randoms are terrible drivers and you never really know what kind of car you'll need until you try, but at least it's not more than two wins.

Does anyone know what you need to do to knock the Online Adventure tab off the playlizt screen?? It is literally the only thing I have left.
