See, I had faith that Playground would fix this. It's good to see they listen to their player base.

80%? So, I still have to do the Trials?
I did everything except the playground games and Qualifying for ranked and am at about 78%. So it looks like you'll still need some of the online stuff.

Does anyone know if the Qualifying for ranked gets retroactively applied to the Summer playlist as long as I complete it before Series 7 ends? Since it is a series thing rather then seasonal.

Just noticed now the car prices in the FP Shop are somewhat cheap this time around. That's good because I don't have that Aston yet. :)

One of the seasonal objectives is a drift zone. If I get the GTO it will be a miracle
45,000 for three stars, 46,000 for the seasonal objective. At least it's not excessively higher than the three star score.

Both car were missing from my garage, which is rare.
I checked the Auctions before taking the Aston and decided to go for a direct buy at 5,500,000 Cr instead of spending the 650 FP.

On one of the more difficult drift zones. One I had never had more than star before this, and can barely scrape 2 stars now that I have grinded at this now.

As someone who sucks at drifting, I feel your pain. All I can say is if you decide to give it a try, good luck.

Eh.

At this point I'm pretty sure they're doing it on purpose... They introduce a new game mechanic that everyone agrees is garbage (FM7 VIP anyone?), wait a few days/weeks to stir the pot up a bit and collect a large amount of negative feedback, then quickly backtrack and apologise, saying that they listened to the community's feedback and that they're going to fix/revert the situation as soon as possible, and to make sure everyone is extra happy-happy joy-joy, here's a few bonus gifts in the process. Then everyone goes "oh, PG and T10 really listen to the community, don't they?" and forget just how dumb the original idea was. All that backtracking feels... artificial. And I'm pretty sure it is. They knew, they had to know, that it would make people angry.

Rant/conspiracy theory over.

Man, the trial really shows the AI's rubber banding up SO badly! In race 2 we had 3 humans leading trailed by an AI Regera into the last turn and it just decided to finish second so it flew past me and the guy in front coming out of what's usually quite a slow turn, nothing either of us could really do about it, but luckily we still won by 50 points. Then in race 3 I saw a P1 chase the human in front of me so hard that it got more airborne off a slight crest than I've ever been in any car on the same part of the map, it overtook him in the air and again finished ahead of him.

I luckily found a great tune for the Senna though and "was able to hold my own" (read: the AI didn't mind letting me beat it) for the most part, something I exploited to give our team the advantage. I'm pretty sure the AI is designed to give you a chance so long as you play it properly, so the trial probably would never be difficult if people were to slow down once they take the lead so as to not make it impossible for slower humans behind to catch up. That narrow bit with solid walls on both sides in race 1 is great for that, it's too narrow for the AI to want to pass you so you can let people catch up really easily.

Yeah, the thing about conspiracy theories is they are never true. Conspiracy theories never allow for the simplest answer which is: people are stupid. The script probably went much more like this:

MS: Hey, we need a way to get the number of daily players higher.
PG: We'll offer exclusive cars for 100% completion of new onerous tasks that must be completed daily.
MS: Perfect! It can't miss!
Players: We quit.
MS: What did you do, PG!? Fix it!

So the first of the RTR FD cars is now attainable and here are the facts.

Like other FD cars, tyre compounds can’t be changed, large amount of steering lock and the brakes and transmission are the only drivetrain and handling parts available.

But unlike other FD cars, the engine can swapped out (But this stock engine is capable of near 1900hp when boosted btw.( for two rather expensive options.

Option A for 150k is the TT V10 out of the FD Viper which can be made to have over 1700hp.

Option B for 250k is the Racing V6TT which a quick stat check confirms to be from the Hoonitruck and can be made to have over 1400hp, plus the distinction of being the first FD car to have less than 8 cylinders.

Btw: They still haven’t fixed the Hoonitruck’s engine sound, still sounds like a V8.

Oh no you should have waited to get the FP Aston instead. Lol

Not your fault though, because we didn't know PG would have added it to the FP Shop. :)

I think you misunderstood Milhouse. He's saying he saw it in the Forzathon Shop but decided to buy it in the Auction House instead. An unusual decision, but it's his game, time, credits, FP and decision to make.

Pretty much this. Everything is about metrics now, so they can humble brag down the line. Imagine with the "forced" online adventure, since Summer just ended in-game, PG could tweet-out: "Over 400,000 players played Online Adventure!!!" with likes and retweets from those who don't play the game and just see high numbers.

Hm, I did everything offline, last week and ended up at 69%. I skipped the events at horizon island, though, as they were not mentioned in the playlist. Do these count aswell?

Glad they put the ZR2 in the shop, that was the only exclusive car barring 4 POs that I’m missing in my garage. I think I own all the cars now but of course it’s very difficult to check.

No, because it would require owning FI, and they can't make that a requirement.

@Moglet said there could be people in the team disappointed at being told to do this (enforce 100% completion). Not too hard to believe this, actually. This game has some neat hidden stuff in it (1968 Mustang's upgrade tree for example), which shows care with the product.

I really like RetroKrystal as well. She's frontlining the PR part of the community and it must be hard for her to deal with the criticism. We all want the best for the game but sometimes we cross lines that are best left alone. Her positivity helps remind us it's not the end of the world if the game ships with some issues.

I just got over 60,000 points in that drift zone challenge with my Formula Drift Mustang.

EDIT: I completed all of the stunt challenges now and I'm at the 50% mark. I'll try to take on the big FP challenge tomorrow. It doesn't look hard, I already completed 2 cross country events and I recently upgrade a few of my offroad vehicles due to that stupid forza adventure. That's also done.

So yeah, not too bad today; another RTR Mustang in my garage along with another Ferrari F50 GT.
