Well first you say nobody has the money to make a comparably great game, and then you say they didn't want to spend more money to make this game better.

If it's already super-expensive to make and they're skipping on spending even more money on things like route creators, they kinda have a solid defense for that, don't they? (As in, they're already spending a ton of money)

I also think there's a pretty big divide between the money the Forza franchise has behind them over anyone else in the racing genre except for maybe, NFS and GT. NFS doing whatever the heck they're doing nowadays, and GT being, well... Let's just say that to understand the decisions of the Yamauchi would probably be a mind altering experience.

Also, I don't think a few house interiors would be very expensive, nor would a different route creator.
As for the stories and businesses, I'm not even sure it would be worth their while to make them "awesome". I'm certain I'm not the only player yawning and repeatedly pressing "A" like it might speed the yapping up.

You also neglected size and space.
Like how big can they make this game file exactly? It has to work on original xbox one's ya know.
I could be wrong, but I'm reasonably certain most people with a 500gb console don't want to use 20-30% of their available space for a single game. Especially if we include the millions of players that aren't diehards.
No they're not all running out to buy new consoles or external hard drives just because FH4 is oversized. Much more likely they just wouldn't buy it or would be angry customers.
I wouldn't even do that, and I am a diehard.

Those are very good points. Though like you said, those few things like house interiors probably wouldn't be expensive, not that that helps my argument. :P Though I do think that if they'd put more effort into the businesses, their storylines wouldn't be a snooze fest (which I agree, they are). For that part however, I will concede that it's justified. Maybe what my argument should have been was about allocation of resources? Maybe that even being a stretch.

P.S. I just want to throw out there that it wouldn't take that much money to make a rival game.
NFS kicked the bucket with bad decisions amd downright annoying driving physics, but theoretically with the right direction they could. Driveclub sounded promising before it got axed, the crew has potential, etc.
It's just that nobody's doing it nearly as well, primarily in the physics and fun categories.

I think it would cost a lot of money, Forza has over a decade of foundations underneath them. For anyone, even an established company to even hold a candle to Forza, it would cost a lot of money. Forza is backed by Microsoft, are they not? Because they're a flagship franchise, that in itself I think would be a hint as to the money they have to help. Driveclub was backed by Sony from memory(?), but was ruined by a poor release (a damn shame, as they were going in a good direction), The Crew has potential, but not the money. And I agree with you about NFS. I also agree that Horizon is the best thing out there at this point, hence why I'm still enjoying the game.

No, the G920 is an Xbox 1 wheel. Plug it straight in.

Click "upload a file"
Select "camera"
Take photo

It's that easy (little one is watching Pocoyo so you get Pocoyo)
There is no upload a file on my camera on my Iphone X. Not sure if you mean that or not. I have the photo on my phone, that is where I am starting.

I have never known how to get a pic direct from my Iphone to a website, would love to learn. I can do it to FB and youtube or a video to youtube, but from my phone to a website, dont know how.

It’s at the bottom of the post dialogue box

So you mean go to a browser on my PHONE and go to this site on that browser and then do this...
Yeah. Just click the Upload a File button when you’re at this website on your iPhone. Then select photo library and select what photo you want to upload and press done. It’ll take a second or two to upload and then you press post reply.

If anyone can get the Twin Mill and they hate Hot Wheels, I have a prior engagement that is going to keep me from my XBone for a week. I'll gladly buy it from you once I am back. I guess hit my DMs if anyone wants to talk details.
Gotcha covered, fam.

FM7 is almost 100GB. The series itself is not exactly shy about taking up storage space.

And it's not like a better story/script and more creative use of existing assets will bloat up the file size. I think the biggest miss is in not making them more structured. The way they're currently done, where the only way to "complete" the stories is to go off-script and cut through huge chunks of the experience, just feels a bit off. Like the rally ones in the new BRG story where if you want to beat the 3 Star timer, you're going to have to skip most of the actual rallying.

And speaking of, a skip button for the dialogue would actually be beneficial, especially if you need to redo the missions for stars.

Well, with the Hospital records soundtrack now availiable on Spotify, I have no reason to keep the game's default soundtrack on. Which kinda sucks, if only because I actually like the banter by the DJs quite a lot.

Quick question. Have you changed your deadzones in the controller settings? Reason I'm asking is because if its more pron ounced when you have your wheel set to a higher rotation, than it makes sense as that'll basically expand the deadzone. Where as the opposite would happen on a lower setting.

I don't know what button it is on the wheel, but on the pad when you go to "controller settings" in the options there should be a legend at the bottom of the screen that says something like "press X for advanced settings." Once in there make all outside deadzones 100 and all inside deadzones 0.

EDIT: I see that I'm blind and you already mention deadzones. However, that is exactly what it's sounding like. What are your current deadzone settings?
All inside 0 and outside 100 and no improvement, but thanks for trying to help! It is the wheel itself, per the other poster.

The only stations I listen to most are Bass Arena, Pulse and XS. I like the variety, but if only Horizon had some kind of Country or Bluegrass station, then I'll be set :)

Finally got the Bentley 4 1/2 Liter after waiting 3 days for it to be restored (beats the Ford GT40 for longest time to restore a barn find in a Horizon game!), and I'm already in love! Vintage cars like this make me want the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 and BMW 328 from Forza Motorsport 7 even more! These classics absolutely belong in Horizon! :(

The 4 1/2 Liter is the car I wanted but didn't know it, it's one of my favourite inclusions. Though I chose to buy it in the auction house instead of getting the castle required for the barn find, because I ain't got no time to buy no stinkin' castle. :P

And let's not forget Don Thompson. Honestly, they're all good. I'm frankly impressed by how good their VAs for the DJs are.
I think MistaJam did an convincing job with Block Party for a non-actor and appreciated his (or his selectors') mixing it up a little with reggae and old school.

Scott Tyler has me reaching for the retune button though and only listen to Bass Arena during races these days where it's free from his annoying commentary.

A country station might be popular but I think it'd alienate a lot of non US listeners. Flatt & Scruggs's Foggy Mountain Breakdown might be useful in some set pieces though.

It always sounds like Chris Goss and London Elektricity are having one hell of a time!
When Chris Goss mentioned that Tony Colman (London Elektricity) was getting the weather forecast, Tony arrived back into the radio studio completely drenched. This section occurs in the Spring Season.

As my truck was flipped on its side, I was watching one of the closest games I've ever witnessed unfold.

Is there a way to reset your car in Playground Games activities? The rewind button doesn't function.

I was wondering is this possible guys, as i love doing photos and videos, can you say have someone use the drone while someone else messes about in a car and you could film them with the drone??

Players in your session are still visible when using the drone, which should make this possible.

I could see a country station if the game were set in the US.
