I just spent an hour trying to 3 star the Moorland drift zone, and failing because of the constant physics changes thanks to the weather. Grrrr.

I think I'm done with this game until they fix some of the long standing bugs. I was just taking part in a Forzathon and got disconnected for no reason right at the end. I didn't get any rewards, then it reconnected me. Between the constant grind, the crap wheelspins, the endless sound bugs and the flaky as hell online system I've had enough. Once the initial sheen wears off it's just a very frustrating buggy mess a lot of the time.

Nice. Seems like a good update, rounding off a lot of rough edges with this one.

I wonder if that fix will be retroactive.
 
I really hope the "bulk add DLC cars" is just an option and not forced on you by default like FM7, mainly because of the pathetic paint save limit. "Buying" the cars individually at least allowed you to apply a manufacturer colour on them without having to waste a save slot.

Even then, I'm not sure how much of a convenience it actually adds with only 2 DLC cars a week.

The best fix for me.
Some Racing / Rally engines were very expensive.
I will be able to test these engine swaps more easily.

And the tragic aspect of this update.
I already pay 1.65 million cr to Unimog (s) engine swap.
Yes, for Iron Knight and MB Racing Truck motors...
 
You kept the skill chain going after the song ended to keep the skill song bonus for as long as you wanted.
Although it was pointless to keep going after you hit 50,000 points since the x10 multiplier meant you got your 10 skill points and anything beyond that wouldn't get you any more.
 
The thing is, Skill Songs don't play as often as I thought. So you got to milk it as much as you can.
 
In a story I heard from a friend, it seems that there was a problem that skill songs could be repeated by opening the menu at the timing when the skill song ended.
It is probably because this bug was fixed the today update.

I assumed that was the bug in question, allowing a 10x multiplier to stay on a combo after the song ends makes sense to me.

Also that’s how you can keep a song you like on for even longer, pause the game at the right moment and it’ll loop back to the start or near enough the start.

Take Foo Fighters ‘La Dee Da’ for example, if you pause the game before the end of the guitar solo after the second chorus, it’ll loop back to the start again.

If you need an idea of when a songs looping point starts, listen to the song during a race as they loop automatically in a race for roughly 10-15mins in my experience and it’ll either finish like normal or just skip to the next track.

Take note of when it loops back, pause the game before that loop point in free roam and it’ll loop back. :D
 
Just noticed that the 04 Type R isn't actually centered properly...

The whole body seems to have been shifted a couple of inches to the right:

I have another "Skills" question if you don't mind. On "Speed Zone", "Speed Trap" I'm on LVL15 and have 3 starred all of them yet i thought it went to LVL16. Similar with Danger zone on LVL11 and thought it went to LVL12. Unlike the normal races redoing them doesn't seem to gain more Skills/INF.
 
I'm guessing they've already left "space" for the PR stunts that will be part of the expansions. They're probably capped for now but will unlock once it's out.

Not sure that is what they where talking about, you could do that in FH3. What I think they where talking about is an exploit where pausing the game during a skill song could cause the song to rewind back to an earlier point.

That's indeed what i meant.
Not all song allowed that, but i noticed that one in the Timeless radio allowed that 100% of the time, but the loop is/was 45 second. The problem was also that the trick to immediately bank skill points (entering an event first menu before exiting) removes the time counter of the song, making it more difficult to catch the loop.

If you look in the quick chat phrase list, the very last two are for Danger Sign 15 and 16 (or something, I might have the numbers wrong) so there will be more in future.
 
Have they stopped people from using Mixer to gain progress now? This was another frustration that stopped me from playing; I left mine running for a few days and had a whole heap of influence to claim but when I launched the game I only received 500. My Mixer level hasn't moved. :confused:
 
I’ve been using Mixer to gain influence over the last few days so I think it still works.

Were you definitely signed in and “watching” a stream that remained live the entire time?

First time I tried to farm with it I picked someone hosting a 24/7 stream on a dodgy connection and I barely gained anything because his stream kept stopping!

Mixer does seem very slow to level up though, I’m 36 on my Mixer profile but only 7 in game. Seems like a huge amount of hours are required to level up any useful amount.
