Now that the Livestreams are over, I'm hoping to see the first garage week next week!
It would be perfect to reveal the cars now.
I hope so too! I was kind of bummed they didn't mention anything coming before Gamescom, like car reveals. Hopefully they do start next week - I need more info and I need it now!! :D

The car leaks happened, so I don't think that Turn 10 Studios are going to do the Forza Garage series.

Just because a list of cars are in a certain leaked alpha build of the game doesn't mean that this list is the official one. So I still prefer to see official car reveals like they always did. Besides they are usually accompanied by some lovely screenshots of new cars as well, like these 2 beauties from 2 years ago: :)

Absolutely agree with this. These car images are a favorite part of the ramp up to the game release for me.

Something I noticed in the livestream specifically when they were in Edinburgh during nighttime was the car shadows cast from the headlights of Andy's car; they looked stunning! I can't believe how such a small detail could add to the experience. I haven't noticed this in FH2 or FH3, so I assume it's new to this game.

True, you're right. I do adore the official images of the cars.

I have just been watching parts of the stream again. The lighting stands out the most to me compared to FH3. Even in the Auto Show/Lobby area the cars looks much more detailed and no harsh reflections spoiling the cars.

I took a few screen shots to show the lighting. The street races in Edinburgh look like fun! I can see me racing a few of those :P

The lighting is really incredible, the way the foliage is reacting to it is even more impressive

Jon Knoles talking about some highly requested customization features for FH4/FM7

There are a lot of options we know you'd like us to add, and we'd like to as well: Window decals, paintable brake calipers, multi-piece wheel painting to name a few of the most commonly requested features... But like everything we do, there are considerations that need to be made with priority, schedule, budget, technical risks, licensing issues, download size for updating cars etc. When you have many hundreds of cars, these challenges multiply. Just one new feature applied to even just 100 cars creates the potential for hundreds of new bugs to fix, for example.

We tackle them as we can - widebody kits, rally, and hot rod conversions in FH3 (as well as 30 new wheels). In FH4, we're adding more widebody kits, new off-road conversions, new Track Width options (finally!), Drift Suspension upgrade with extreme steering angle and camber, and Drag tires (as well as an entirely updated suspension simulation that applies to all cars, making them feel much more connected to the road).

We are listening ;)'

I'd love to see more customizations too. But according to the folks at T10 they listened to their fans and unfortunately no one wants these things. Looks like the new generation of players are more disconnected to the car culture.

What? That's not what was implied at all, did you even read the post?

What is with this white knighting for T10? What else is next? The demand for 1st place trophies for everyone? When you see folks playing with the developer version of FH3 and doing so many cool things to it why can't they just have those available for us normies? They should have done that for FH4. Give us the freedom. In their FH4 stream they mentioned about getting a special outfit for your character. You guys care about that rubbish?

Nope. Than again I prefer to keep my vehicles pretty close to stock looks wise so car customization is rather low on my list as well.

But they’re not making the game to fit any single person’s desires. Just because one of us doesn’t care about a certain aspect doesn’t mean nobody does.

So, 3 modified Nissan S14 240SXs, a modded Mustang, Viper, e30, and Holden Ute basically? No thanks.

EDIT: On topic to the customization discussion above. I honestly hope the new rim options aren't HREs or Fifteen52 wheels myself. Especially Fifteen52s, I never liked these wheels; their wheels just look so tacky at times. I honestly hope for some more rays or enkeis.

Well, that's a disappointing selection. Basically the B-list of Formula Drift.

And is it me or do the liveries on the FD cars look really low res? Even in Forzavista:

As for new rims, are we even sure we're getting new rims?

I wonder if the whole Toyota licensing stuff applies to their engines as well. Could explain why the selection is a bit meh, if they weren't allowed to model 2JZs for instance. Taking out the Toyotas and the Toyota engines, that doesn't leave many options... Though I'm curious as to why Pawlak's Mustang made it in but not Vaughn Gittin, whose car has Horizon branding on the front bumper.

I think it will be added in the future update.
Also, the Formula D Car Pack trailer will be released for the first time on Formula F official live stream on Friday.
Perhaps there may be new information about his Mustang at this time.

Wasn't it Gittin who leaked a bunch of drift cars a while ago? It could be retaliatory.

That and it looks like all the cars in the pack are sponsored by Hoonigan, so it's most likely they're the only ones that T10 actually had accesss to.

Also, I've noticed that cosmetic damage has been downgraded compared to FM7. The lights don't seem to break no matter how much they bang the car around.
