I think the smashing 100 cactus task in the Forzathon is broken... I've driven all over Mexico and can't find any of these anywhere...

However, my issue with this argument of "the game is a copycat of FH3 & 4, thus it sucks" is they don't seem to ever explain how they should change the next game to make it feel more like a new experience. Seriously, what can you do in the next Horizon to make it feel like a complete game? Without alienating some of the audience that likes how the series is now.
Problem is not copycat of FH4, but overall quality. From 3rd instalment with minor changes we could expect better quality.

1) Ai is awful.
2) Storytelling is full of cliche and makes me feeling vicarious embarrassment.
3) Eliminator is buggy and unbalanced. Like ,it was totally Ok for free update, but its current state is unacceptable for 60$ game.
4)where is ranked? It should be default mode for multiplayer
5) Map design is bad. Instead of easily readable environment in FH4 we get totally random unbreakable trees and rocks in bushes. Mountain is awful. 2/3 of the map is boring desert and fields.
6) Carlist is FH4-30%. Like, there is still few hundreds of cars that were in FH3 and FM7, but isnt in FH4, why do you use same cars again?
7) We are two weeks from early access and still dont have hot fix.

It looks like only thing that they put effort into is single player campaign. If you want something more than that its disappointing.

Clearly I'm faster than I thought I am, it's totally not because I picked a route that hasn't had many people post a time yet in order to get the accolades before the aliens arrive.

On a serious note, if you are having trouble unlocking it there's a Super 7 event set up for it (531 845 273).

I don't want to jump on the constant complaints bandwagon, but I do think the game seems very empty. I was hunting around Tulum looking for a few good photo locations, and I was struck by how few AI characters there are in the background. It this were Ambleside or Byron Bay, the AIs would be pouring out of every nook and cranny. I think Tulum has about a couple dozen total. It's oddly desolate.

Did the Goliath and Gauntlet races back to back! Found the Gauntlet race to be tougher.

Got a duplicate Macan Turbo so put an off-road tune on it and gave it away as my first gift.

So Horizon Tours have been proving to be a lot more interesting than I expected. Primarily because the car selections are a lot more interesting than open racing, instead of just constantly being the misery that is S1 or S2 "use whatever". Sometimes there's open class events but usually the tour goes for something rather specific, which seems to actually improve the quality of the racing. The two best ones I had today were C class Retro Rally (glad I had that stock Celica handy), and A class Land Rovers which put everyone in the same vehicle and pretty much neutralized any advantage the AI team might have had. This is also giving me ideas for car builds I probably wouldn't have thought of normally, since I may be needing them for tours later.

The other thing is seeing people figure out the concept of it, and watching them go rampaging off like a bunch of angry ferrets while I hang back a bit and quietly scoot past the AI cars that get unlucky enough to get bullied into oblivion. And then scoot past a few of them as they start to turn on each other. And they always do.

Having to drive the start point of each race was a bit annoying at first, but then I figured it's basically an excuse to farm up a few more skill points and mess around with the car I'm using to see if I want to keep using it, so it's not really an issue. All in all, probably one of the more interesting online modes, and the only one I don't seem to risk getting randomly disconnected from as well.

I wasted last night grinding and gutting forty Willys Jeeps for a grand total of five million cash. There must be a simpler way to earn money and XP. Let's see what this Alex soundalike has to say...

A buddy of mine made some keyboard macros to automate the barrel roll glitch after you set up the barrel roll of course and let it run overnight. The same with the Jeep buying... Macroing the the wheelspin should be a no brainer at that point.

Just got my first gift car, 2019 Porsche Macan Turbo...
Nice. I've been giving away a lot of the ones I'll never use whenever I stop by a barn.

XJR-15 is a barn find.
And currently all barn find cars cannot be sold or gifted.

I can make sense of this. This way we can't artificially increase the number of these cars by making additional accounts, nor can it be a method of making money.

Keyboard macros sound like a PC only solution.

My EventLab skills are limited so I made 15m Cr running an AFK highway farm event a couple of times and selling my duplicate wheelspins. I promptly blew the lot on a 1993 McLaren F1 so it's back to the grindstone. Too bad races have a fifty lap maximum.

Huh. I just got the XB Achievement for finding all the roads, at 573/578. The in-game Accolade counter is at 99.1%

I had something similar in FH4 - with the Achievement pinging before I'd ungreyed everything. I wonder if the list of roads that don't need discovering is the same for everyone, or if it just pings at the wrong number...

In regards to opening/closing the roofs of convertibles, in July of this year I checked every FH4 car to see if the roof could be opened/closed. Once PG has fixed their bug that prevent most convertibles from changing their roofs, be sure to check out these cars.

FH4 cars where you can open/close the roof with full animation in Forzavista:

2011 BMW Z4 sDrive35is
2014 Ferrari California T
2018 Ferrari Portofino
2013 Mazda MX-5
2014 McLaren 650S Spider
2019 McLaren 720S Spider

FH4 cars whee you can open/close the roof in Forzavista (without animation):

1970 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial
1975 Fiat X1/9
1975 Ford Bronco
2003 Honda S2000
2009 Honda S2000 CR
1956 Jaguar D-Type
2011 Koenigsegg Agera
2005 Lotus Elise 111S
2012 Lotus Exige S
2004 Maserati MC12
2004 Maserati MC12 Forza Edition
1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo
2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
1970 Porsche 914/6
2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
1989 Toyota MR2 SC
1995 Toyota MR2 GT
I didn't know the Power Wagon has a detachable roof...

I think it just pings at the wrong number judging by the people noticing the same thing on Reddit.
The Ride And Seek achievement unlocked for me with only 573/578 roads completed. Apparently this was the case with FH4's Noisy Cartographer as well although I didn't notice at the time.

It's not really a bug, so I'd imagine it's something that's going to stick around. It's the fact that the game is online, so it's always online aspect actually stops the "pause" you actually get when offline. If you press pause and open photomode through the menu it's the exact same way. Like @T0MMY3688 mentioned though, shooting photos offline will stop that from happening.
Pretty sure is a bug because connecting to Horizon Life back in FH4 doesn’t revert the wheels back to default when entering photo mode but it happens in FH5.

That's an odd question.
Not really. If you don't need to discover certain roads in order for the Achievement to ping, then knowing which ones you hadn't discovered when your Achievement pinged would help me to compare with the ones I hadn't discovered when mine pinged.

If there's a match, it may mean certain roads aren't needed. If there's no match, then it's just that it pings at the wrong number:

I wonder if the list of roads that don't need discovering is the same for everyone, or if it just pings at the wrong number...
For reference, mine are the the beachfront road where a V10 Story is located down at the bottom of the motorway, the road above the San de las Minas speed trap, and apparently an inch of tarmac on the road above Desierto Trail Pro... plus two others I haven't found yet.

Edit: Apparently also an inch of the dirt road right next to the last one as well, right in the middle of it. Can't find the last one at all.

Edit edit: And it was another inch of dirt road on the otherwise entirely completed path down the beachfront at Playa Tranquila

That's nice, but it's difficult to discover which roads I hadn't discovered, especially as they all got filled in in a couple of days without me looking for them. Perhaps someone else was observant enough to catch them.

I had trouble last week finding the last couple of roads I needed. Sometimes it’s just a tiny section of road and it can be hard to see. I found a couple of mine I was missing in a super obvious place, the exit and entry ramps on the big highways.

I experienced the same thing, and I'm currently at 575/578 roads.

I have noticed that and I kind of like it. A traffic density slider would be a great addition. And the cactus counter must be broken because I swear I have hit about a million of those.

Numerous people have commented that they've received the roads achievement at 573 roads discovered. I'm pretty sure it's the number and not the roads that triggers the achievement. This is the first map I haven't had trouble finding every road. Usually I've got one or two little snippets of road that take me a few days to hunt down, but this time I got all of them with no struggle at all.

I made a few paints today and it seems easier than I had ever thought, but I had a few questions.

1) I noticed on my '32 Ford thumbnail, it shows the full fendered car and not the Hot Rod with no fenders. Is there a reason or way to correct this?
2) Are there any good tutorials or videos out there with some tips for a fledging artist like me?

This all started because an older paint I made for fun for the Reliant SuperVan has 400 downloads now and I have a small following, lol This is new to me.

Had a big wind storm pass through the region and knocked out power this morning. Sadly, my street is the only one in the area left without electricity and the power company does not yet have an estimate for being restored. Grrrrrr

This thread on the official forum is probably a must-read.
This tutorial assumes that you own a PC, but it will help you produce a more accurate logo with less time and effort.

For livery, the websites of actual wrapping companies and designers can be helpful.
For example, the website of Andy Blackmore (designer of Hoonitruck) has a large portfolio of his past work.
This will give you some great design inspiration.

So I hear some of you have hit the discover all roads accolade early,I have 575/578 and nothing, says 99.5% done.

FH3 & FH4 don't even feel similar to me & as a result, FH5 does not feel like a copycat of FH4. To me, the map alone makes a massive difference b/c of the variety of environments (to no fault of FH4; I understand you can't just start introducing random biomes into England's environment) allow for different racing experiences, esp. with the off-road trails. The more I play it, the more I feel like this game takes what FH3 did and just improved on all of it. I've said before FH3 is my favorite & I think FH5 is definitely getting right up there with it.
FH5 absolutely ***** on FH4 when it comes to biodiversity and landscapes. You have sand dunes, beaches, a jungle, a swamp, a canyon, a mountain, farmland and desert. In FH4 it was forest, forest, forest, mountains, farmland, fields and a beach. FH5 looks better, feels better and sounds better than FH4 with plenty of things to see and do. Capturing a large variety of environments in a map this size makes it feel larger than what it is. Open world racing at it's finest.

Also how do you get the Saleen S7?
