We should work together. I get you a Thunderbird SC, and you get me a Eunos Cosmo with the 20B engine. Now those are two cars that should be in this game.

I've actually been requesting Eunos Cosmo since FM3.
And of course, I posted the name of this car on the FH5 car wishlist on the official forum.
Since Mazda North America is keeping this car in their collection, it would be relatively easy for Turn 10 to scan this car compared to other cars sold exclusively in Japan.
I'd love to see this three-rotor monster compete in Forza with a classic saloon from BMW or Mercedes.
I'll join this movement if it brings in the Lightning and the Terminator Cobra. I'd even swap one of them for the classic GT500 back or the '65 GT350R

These two put us up to five special livery cars now.

I finished the Festival Playlist today. The only spot of trouble I had was my choice of car in the Tour. The class was S1/900 Modern Muscle. I had a Cadillac ATS-V I had built but not raced, so I took that. And then discovered it was horribly undergeared. It would only get to 130mph. Fortunately that was enough to ensure I was with the lead pack. Properly geared, that Caddy would have been battling for the lead.

I finished all season championship this week.
None of them had any problems, but if I had to say, the engine in the Mini Countryman let me down.
The engine is not very responsive below 6000 rpm, as if it is asleep, and does not seem to be very suitable for dirt racing.
It would have been nice if this car could have been supercharger conversion option.
 
I wish they would give us the option to just get credits instead of cars we already have, when we get rewards from the festival playlist. I mean almost everyone is getting the same cars, so no one wants to buy them in the auction house and giving them to people that probably already have them isn’t much fun either. Or id even take an option at a wheelspin, if you already have the car.

I almost have my “homework” done for this week. I hope next Thursday’s assignment is just as easy, all for a mustang I’ll probably drive once. Although I do want those Toyotas I guess.

I'm surprised people are still struggling with Trails. Sure when the game first came out people didn't really get it but all you need to to is fully upgrade to top of class to not finish at the back. Almost every Trail I enter half my team still uses Loaners though. Just get a decent tune and it makes all the difference in Trails and even makes the experience rather enjoyable.

That would be an improvement indeed. Just show the same pop-up screen you see after a wheelspin when you get a duplicate car, with the options to take, gift or sell the car.

What also annoys me greatly is that during PvP events wheelspins just roll without that option, the car is just added to your garage. I already have all cars in my garage, I don’t want any duplicates in there (apart from the gifted ones from PG with special liveries). It’s so annoying that every now and then I need to go through my entire garage and gift all the duplicates in there. Garage maintenance like that should NOT be a thing. Wheelspins during online events should always just add a +1 wheelspin in the background, not spin the wheel when you are in between menus and loading screens. Similar to how wheelspins are rewarded from seasonal PR stunts.

One could argue that The Trial isn’t designed to be done solo with randoms, but rather that it’s intended to be done with a group of friends.

If that’s the case it’s done an awfully poor job and conveying that intent to the player.
I think the difficulty of the trial just goes straight against everything else the franchise is going for with this newest instalment. On one side of the spectrum, they add accessibility features to the point that it drives the game by itself, add help for colour blind people, hearing impaired people and such (I think those things are great! The more people that can play the game, the better). The bonus boards and especially drift zones also have been easier than ever before.
But on the other side they completely mess up the Trial (which is augmented by an out of whack AI difficulty system). They should just remove it from the game and push Horizon Tour more. Horizon Tour is the same game mode anyway, without the frustrations and with some free roam driving added. Way more fun than the frustration that The Trial is almost every week.

Difficulty level is also all over the place in this game. Just moments ago I did one of the seasonal championship races in a stock Warthog and after driving really good, I ended up 6th place. And the stock warthog has been a great vehicle in FH3 and FH4 as well, I’m very familiar with how it feels and I won dozens of races with it. So I retry the same race with that A800 Forza Edition racing truck, I drive much worse than I did in that Warthog (unfamiliarity vehicle + higher PI race) and I finish 1st place with the entire AI pack way behind me. Explain that to me, it makes absolutely no sense.

I think these first few months will be crucial to the game if they want to keep those 10+ million players. All those frustrations, shortcomings and bugs need to be ironed out. And that has to be completed before the first expansion drops, even if that means pushing back the intended launch date for it (which also should be in a few months). FH4 launched in September and we got Treasure Island in December. If you keep that time frame then FH5 (launching in November) should have its first expansion February (or March if you add some extra weeks due to the holiday break for the devs).

They even explained why they choose not to include that option during PvP events. And the reason was to reduce waiting for everyone. Now you might be extra quick but what about those that would took their sweet time? Also we can now sort the car list to show recently added first. I'm using it quite often now to find the duplicates.

I also understand (for very obvious reasons) that they don’t want to prompt players for choices in between coop or PvP events. But the way it’s implemented now also makes no sense whatsoever.
If you win a wheelspin from that player house or seasonal PR stunts, you only get a prompt that a wheelspin was added, they don’t start spinning the wheelspin wheel automatically either. They could do the exact same thing if you win a wheelspin during coop or PvP, just remove the option to spin it with the X button at the moment you get it.
 
So my Trial trials started like this...
First round... Lost. Two 'teammates' vever even pulled away from the start.

Loss.

Second round... Won easily. I came 3rd. The two plonkers of the first round quit. Yay.

Third round... Humans 1st, 2nd (me) and 5th..heading for the win. Last checkpoint in sight..

Then it happened. A fly flew onto my bloody lip. Wild flapping and spitting, missed checkpoint.

Lost.

I am peak plonker.

Why? You even flag the issue in your post:

The Trial is co-operative, and if half your team isn't prepared, you're giving away 1800 points to the other team right away (100 points per team member beaten, multiplied by the number of AI beating them - 100x3x6). Even if you are great and win every race (650pt), you still need the rest of your team to pick up 1200 more points than the AI, which means a 1-2-3.

That's where the difficulty of the Trial lies. It's not about how many points you can get, it's about not having a team full of absolute sloth pizzles who don't know the difference between red and blue. And this is why "people are still struggling" with it - 90% of the community are morons.

Huh. There's another new Trail Blazer on the map, right on the north edge of the map, northwest of the volcano...

... but no actual Trail Blazer there. Also my stats for Trail Blazer say I have 36 stars out of 30, having completed 12 out of 10 of them...

The Trailblazer is there, it’s just not marked. It’s part of this week’s Playlist. You have to make a best guess where the start gate is. If you suddenly get a clock, you’ll know you’ve hit it. Fortunately, the end point is well marked, if rather devilishly placed.
 
Pro-tip for upgrading/tuning:

Wanna now how much grip (Lateral Gs) your car have in FH5? You should always and only trust the value provided in the "Buy and Install" menu.

The moment you start trusting the values provided in the upgrade/tuning menu, is the moment the game starts playing you for a nasty trick.

Let's check out the Gs for the XJ220 (with sport weight reduction) fitted with stock tires:

Let's swap to street tires:

You'll definitely notice the difference when hitting the race track. I recommend Horizon Mexico Circuit for testing it out. Or better yet, the Cathedral Circuit for masochists.

No, I already noted that one in the Playlist article:
For the three PR Stunts this week, there’s actually an entirely new spot on the map. That’s the “Desert Descent” Trail Blazer, which sees you run down the Gran Caldera from halfway up the south side.
This is another one besides that one.

It's labelled as "Over the Dune", and the finish is in the rocks at Cabo San Lucas. Took me ages to find out that the gates are northbound while the finish is waaay over to the south, which explains why only 44,000 people have done it...

It looks like there was a hot fix overnight, as both entry gates are now visible. Here’s the Desert Descent gate I thought you were talking about.

And here’s the Over the Dune gate you were actually talking about. Looks like it opens to the west. Three stars is 25 seconds. On my first try I got 43.65 seconds, so it’s super easy. Looking at the leaderboard, it’s full of cheaters. The #1 position has a time of 2 minutes, 20 seconds. Which is exactly the amount of time given to complete it. In other words, it isn’t a gate. It’s a portal. They crossed the finish line the same moment they entered the start gate. I really wish something could be done to prevent this kind of obvious cheating.

Wait... The Thunderbird SC's coming to FH5??? Where exactly are these cars mentioned in the game's files?
From a source I don't want to name (out of concern that it'll no longer be available if people find out), but rest assured it's 100% reliable.

Also worth noting that 100% reliable doesn't mean it's confirmed for FH5 specifically, or any game - remember the Jensen Interceptor was 100% confirmed by being in FH3's database, but has still yet to show up - but that doesn't mean it wasn't a reliable source.

I wish for that too, but how? First the cheating is our fault not theirs. But is totally up to them to fix it. Because cheaters will always try new ways you will need to come up with new means every time. So they need to put up resources to prevent or fix it. And then what can you do? Yes, you can ban them. But than you must ban every cheater. The obvious ones are easy to spot but what about those that cheat not so obviously? And when you need a team that will check and fix every leaderboard daily to catch those cheaters you will lose lots of money for something that is not your fault. To me it's like an never ending story. Leaderboards fixed today will get new cheaters the next day or the next hour.
