With the drag racing cars found in the files and the Mexico setting I was feeling pretty confident in seeing a drag focused expansion. A minecraft crossover though? Please for the love of Jesus no.
I think that the drag cars will be meant for the next Motorsports game since they added some features to the drag racing in FM7 as a test and then asked the community for feedback on making the drag racing in the Motorsports series better. The cars are probably for testing by the devs.

I believe lanterns will appear in Winter. However you can complete the Accolade already. There is a challenge card. You can find it in Super 7. Code 727 464 323
I really hate those - but because they're easy ways to do things, everyone plays them and likes them, and they got promoted to the top despite being piss-poor, and they swamp any interesting or creative cards so S7 (and EventLab) just becomes "10 Skill Points in 30s" or "Smash 25 Goals for Easy Accolade" across the board.

I'll wait until next season.

Well this one has lanterns across dunes at night rather than 25 lanterns on a drag strip. I believe the freeroam experience in winter will be similar.

Anyone else find the Arctic Land Cruiser to be a bit um... disappointingly sluggish?
I did an S1 900 build in FH4 and, while maybe not the quickest Extreme Offroader out of the hole, it was speedy enough (especially if you had momentum built up) and quite stable unless you were being really, deliberately stupid.

If it’s the same one as I did this morning (with a few jump pads for some lantern clusters) I think the creator has set it really nice. A nice dark mood, the lanterns on the tops of the dunes, and a few jump pads for some lanterns at once. All that together with a nicely selected Radio Eterna tune added. I think it was done really classy, gave that guy an upvote, it’s the best Event Lab creation I’ve seen so far (not that I deliberately go look for them). Nice, easy, crisp clear what to do, and not too cheesy. Simply perfect.

Unlike some of those PG selected events that make it into the Festival playlist. 🙄 My goodness, last week’s race on top of the hotel area was simply aweful. Mediocre flag / racing line placement at best, some turns were not clear. But in all honesty, as long as we can’t edit any saved events, I don’t blame any creator for anything and that feature cannot arrive quickly enough.

The earth might collapse, finally won an Eliminator. Everyone was on top of the volcano and noticed they were all migrating west so I went east. Sure enough it was just on the other side of the stadium, never saw another person. Took about 4 hours, I destroyed my back and can’t really move so I had more time to put into that than I’d normally spend

How does this tally with the devs paying strict attention to licensing issues, I wonder... a Jaguar with a Subaru engine. Painstaking attention to detail there. I wonder what Jaguar and Subaru would make of that.

1) The person you quoted works for Codemasters as the Community/Social Media Manager for DiRT. He has no affiliation with PG.

2) This is related to certain cars not having functional roofs...how, exactly?

I was just trying to finish 30th or better in the Eliminator to get the points from this week’s Festival Playlist, and I ended up winning it. I even got a couple eliminations.

I know who he is and isn't. The fact he doesn't work for PG didn't stop him commenting on the issue originally, why should it stop me responding to his post?

I didn't say it was related to roofs. It does however show that it is just as likely with these devs that it's a bug with the roofs, as the game is full of bugs. The poster may not work for PG but he sure likes to defend them at every opportunity and assume they must have a good reason for doing everything they do, rather than you know, being lazy or incompetent.

I’m sure they’d love for you to show them how it’s done.

The Super 7 prize this week is the natural race suit. I know most folks don't really care about the clothing, but I enjoy it. I like dressing up my little virtual Barbie doll.
I got the Toyota Race Suit a few weeks back.

I have no desire to look at character customisation ever again, unless a Porsche suit is added 😅

And I’m a FOMO patient, I want everything! 😂
(already got the natural and Toyota race suits 😅)
I got weary of FOMO in service games a long time ago.

I’m all played out of this game, with the exception of any new Achievements that come along (I got the Expansions for free with Microsoft Rewards), and my weekly club session.

I’ve got my completions, built and painted all the cars I have wanted to. I don’t need a shiny carrot on a stick when I can feast on a whole garden already :)

200 hours “for free” with Game Pass though, not a bad deal.

Honestly, I genuinely wish there were some more "showy" options for men's clothing. I have nothing against skirts, dresses and the like, but I'd love to have the "Hohloma Summer Skirt" or "Spaik Pencil Dress" designs as regular pants, jacket and/or open shirt.

My avatar in FH4 wore a purple jacket with some Camo-Purple pants. A buddy of mine described him as a "lost Saints Row NPC."

If you're attempting the Jeep Trailcat one-make race this season, KeMiyagiSuke's A-class tuning setup (share code 771 267 337) really did the trick for me.

For the hot hatch championship I used Dont Giva Deuce's tune for the 2013 Renault Clio R.S. 200 EDC which made it really fun to drive. 101 881 462.

And now the right one

I wish GT Sport's wheel of misfortune was as keyed towards giving you unowned cars as FH5's is.
Is it bad that I'm actually not fond of this system? As it stands, I have 502 cars, but there's maybe 300-350 I would actually want to keep. Managing a car collection is imo a bit annoying, because whenever I get rid of a car I don't want (especially lower-rank cars), the game would give it back to me in a wheel spin not to long afterwards (pretty much every time I've removed an F-450, I would get another one within the next 3 wheelspins). On the flipside as well, there are a couple wheelspin-only cars (namely the FC RX-7) that I actually want a duplicate of, but chances of that are low because the game prioritizes cars you don't already own.

It'd be kinda nice if whenever I got a car from a spin, the game would give me the option to keep it, gift it, or sell it right away, as opposed to doing that only for duplicates.

As opposed to a random jabroni on an internet forum? I'll trust the community manager, thanks.
I trust the evidence of my own eyes, experiencing all the flaws and bugs first hand. And all the many threads on the official forums and reddit complaining about the multitude of issues.

The arrogant, sarcastic condescending reply inviting me to tell PG how it's done is funny. People have been telling them for years but they don't listen or don't care, that's the problem. Perhaps their recruitment process and culture isn't all it should be, given the shortcomings their products exhibit.
