Mission accomplished.

Just had one of the most hilarious Trials ever. We won the first race managing the top 5 positions. However a player in the Tankpool who won the race smashed all the Team on every corner. Race #2 and the whole team went after him. It looked more like a Cat and Mouse game than an actual race. We lost that race scoring 600 points. Last race the Tankpool driver started slowly, stayed way behind everyone making sure the AI is the only car worthy of passing.

I did it in the Tankpool as well, stock spec. It was just a 2 players vs the AI game.
First race I was leading for most of the race but my partner overtook me in one of the final series of corners. That Tankpool sure is a handful in the corners. 😅 But we finished 1 & 2.
The second race I was leading again quite fast with my companion second place, but I assume he missed a gate at some point since I saw him dropping quickly to last place. He regained a couple of places again. I won that race like a walk in the park, that included even doing a hilarious frontal flip in the Tankpool on one of the big jumps not far from the beach area. 😂
That race was my second attempt (after a disconnect on my first attempt 😒 - a race which we were winning as well) so I never even saw the third race. 😏

I’m not the most skilled driver that’s for sure, but either that Tankpool FE is way OP for these races, or else PG has nerfed unbeatable drivatars into the ground for cross country races.

I have a theory that the reason the Fairlady FE is so slow is because the truck FE somehow absorbed all of its pace. It's bizarre that two vehicles in the same class at the same PI can be so tremendously different in actual performance.

It just confirms to me that there needs to be a separate offroad PI number, where the calculation includes landing from jumps, breaking fences, and wading. It's totally unintuitive right now that the fastest tyre offroad has the lowest PI, and really hobbles any build that uses the slower tyre, as they are then allowed less power too, instead of compensating with more.

Does anyone know exactly what time Car Pass cars are released? It's 11:12 PM on currently and the game won't let me grab the XJ220S, saying that it won't be available until the 13th...which will be over in ~45 minutes. :odd:
If you're on Xbox Series (and, possibly, Xbox One), check that you don't have any item in your download queue. Weirdly enough, for me the "this car won't be available until..." message won't go away if the console is downloading something in the background.

The biggest misfortune for the 350Z FE was that this car was too light.
Basically, in the racing world, lightness trumps all. In cross-country racing, however, that's not the case.
Being light leads to instability, and increases the negative effects of contact with all objects and when driving in water.
Furthermore, the suspension of this car probably uses the basic simulation for buggy/Trophy Truck.
This further exacerbates the instability of this car, resulting in it being a loser in cross-country.

The Tankpool FE, on the other hand, is the opposite. A very heavy body and a powerful engine. And 395 size off-road tires front and rear to support it.
What's more, the ride height of this vehicle is not very high.
As a result, this car is stable, powerful, has excellent handling, and is even resistant to contact with obstacles... Yes, It's "OP".

I love both cars, but the Tankpool FE is definitely the one I would use in a must-win race.

PS: I found some info on reddit that seems to relate to the content of expansion 2.
It's no longer uncommon in Forza for upcoming implemented content to be revealed from staff credits, and they've probably done it again this time.

Are you kidding me? :indiff:

I don’t see what all the fuss is with the 100 mile challenge for the Bentley. 🤷‍♂️
It's more of a combo car + 100 miles imo. Lots of players don't own the Blower yet and spending 4M on a car that you are not interested in it's annoying. It's understandable. I thought the AH could be an option but when I checked there was only 1 Blower going for 20M. But yeah, making a blueprint for 3 laps on Goliath with autosteering can help a lot.

To be fair you have a week to do the challenge, that's only 14 miles a day (and if you average 100mph that's about 8 minutes of driving/racing). Nobody said it had to all be done at once.

If the game is functioning properly, this is correct.
But currently there is such a glitch that unfortunately we are forced to do everything at once.

Same time as everything else: 1430 UTC.

Try a hard reboot of the game and console.

That's both not global and not strictly true. Some players have been experiencing periodic resets to Chapter 2, rather than the whole thing (Chapter 1 is just own and drive it, so it's not much better) while in Chapter 3 or 4, but it's not doing it consistently or for all players. For example, I ran Chapter 4 of the LFA last week over two nights without issue, but I've also seen it reset to mid-Chapter 2 from Chapter 3 previously.

I've also seen some other strange behaviour from the Weekly Challenge, such as speed targets showing 0.7mph before the chapter is even unlocked...

I had this same issue yesterday. What corrected it for me was going into the Xbox settings for Time. I didn't need to change anything but, the act of checking the system time seemed to allow the game to release my car pass car. Hope this helps.

HotWheels made sense; car game implementing toy cars that have even been remade into life size, working examples. Lego was a bit off-putting personally, but Lego has its hands in everything & they've dabbled in automotive sets for a long time here & there. I believe the Technic sets have really deep dived into automotive stuff.

But, Minecraft? There's nothing automotive related about Minecraft. That reeks of Microsoft trying to shoe-horn a very popular franchise into another that has seen exceptional success with its record-breaking player base numbers for quick bucks.

It sounds like it has the potential to be the most divisive expansion ever (until FH6 comes back with a Fortnite Battle Royale themed add-on). Shame as I was really hoping they'd get a Radiator Springs licence.

I had the same problem , rebooting the game worked
Yeah, that's what I eventually ended up doing last night

I just thought it was humorous - 2 weeks ago, I was 1 foot short on a jump and 1 mph too slow in the VW Story, then last week I was less than a second too slow for 3 stars on a Trailblazer.

So this week having the invisible treasure just kind of fit the pattern 🤣

It also reeks of not paying licensing costs. Minecraft is a Microsoft IP at this point since MoJang is part of Xbox Gaming Studios.

Anyone had any joy finding the "lanterns" for smashing yet? They're supposed to appear at Dunas Blancas at night, and there's a challenge to smash 25 of them in the AT37/AT38 (which currently shows as "snowmen", not "lanterns") but despite the first of those cars being available now, there's no lanterns to smash.

There's also a collectibles mission in next week's playlist for smashing the same lanterns, so they might appear then (I mean, you'd hope they would, but thus far the playlist hasn't exactly been trouble-free) and hopefully through the final week as it's Chinese New Year on February 1st (next Series starts on February 3rd).

I believe lanterns will appear in Winter. However you can complete the Accolade already. There is a challenge card. You can find it in Super 7. Code 727 464 323

Well... having an ATV in Forza would be very poggers. GOOD JOB!

With the drag racing cars found in the files and the Mexico setting I was feeling pretty confident in seeing a drag focused expansion. A minecraft crossover though? Please for the love of Jesus no.

Yes and no. Yesterday I was at the point of 2 out of 160 km done. Today I found that my progress was recent completely. I had to do the 9 stars from speed zones and 3 road races again. That’s why I did the rubber band thing on my controller, to make sure the darn thing was done in 1 go.

This same bug (Forzathon weekly challenge resetting) has happened once before as well, I think that week with the Ferrari 488 Pista.

Done this weeks Forzathon, and now the Bentley and 6 Caymans are on the auction house. I got one already tuned to S1 for a little under 4mil and should make a small profit. The real benefit of buying from the auction house is the tuned ones are about the same price as a new bog standard one.

That would be really niche and appeal a very small audienc. Drag racing might be a thing in the US, here in Europe I honestly couldn’t care less.

I don’t like the Minecraft idea for expansion 2 but I would still take it over a drag racing theme any day.

All the majority of players do in Forza Horizon games is head to the airstrips and drag race lol. Also in the UK we have Santa Pod which hosts massive events all year round. I don’t care whether it’s a drag expansion personally however minecraft can absolutely do one. I didn’t ever play the Lego expansion despite owning the pass. I hope to see those drag prepped Camaros though, even if they’re car pass cars and there’s no drag expansion.
