Can almost guarantee that's a licensing thing, manufacturers not letting those particular cars be driven around Mexico without head protection.
Huh. Didn't think of that.

That looks to be the case for Mazda (no open top cars, the 1.6 NA MX5 with the open top never made it to a Horizon game IIRC), but not for Mercedes (which has the SSK in FH5 and also had the 190 SL in previous Horizon games). But then, the SLK doesn't have an animated roof in Forzavista, either - the only car that could probably be made an open top, but won't be, is the 2013 MX-5.

Is it only free roam where you can't drive with the top down or races too? Why wouldn't manufacturers want it, it isn't a legal requirement to wear head protection in real life either, they are cars, not motorcycles.

My guess would be a company that suggests wearing head protection while driving with the top down would care a lot mroe than a company that doesn't. Mazda seems like the type who would suggest it, and seeing a character in a video game driving their car with the top down and their head exposed may not be what they want.

Tl;dr Licensing is hard and we may never know.

I bought the Bentley 8-litre last week just because I wanted it. To me, driving it 100 miles around the map will be a joy. If it were something like a Ferrari FXX I would run up and down the freeway a few times just to get it over with, yawning all the time. In the Bentley, I'm going to relax, cruise and enjoy the scenery. But I totally get that it will be a real grind for other players. Everybody's experience is different.

Just to clarify, it’s the 4.5 Supercharged Blower Bentley for this week, not the 8 Litre. :)

Here's something funny somebody on Twitter found. I had to go check in-game if it was real because of how baffling it was.

So if you have the new TWR XJ220, you can go in Forzavista and look in the engine bay to see the proper Jaguar V6 engine sitting there as it should:

But, if you go in free roam and look through the window, instead you'll notice... a D-45 boxer engine! And a rather ugly one too

I'm seriously wondering how this managed to pass through QC, this is hilarious

It must be how they got this back on the road.

For the 100 miles I did the Gauntlet-Colossus-Goliath combo. 105 miles and in B class it took 1h10 minutes. I might repeat that combo with the Bugatti Type 35 too or something else. 100 miles is still a lot. Half would be a lot. 35 miles or one long race would still be enough.

Go for a 100-mile drive? That's got to be one of the most tedious things I've seen in a video game. I was really hoping that this series would pull me back into the game since I figured PG had all the kinks worked out by now. Guess not though.

I just finished getting my least favourite things in the playlist out of the way, So I can enjoy the rest of the week

  • The Open racing - I won the series in a 911 GT3RS, Had a good battle through the 3 races with someone in the new TWR Jag, So as soon as I finished that I went to claim and build mine (Below) The guy in the XJ was super fast on the straights and I caught up in the corners. It was surprisingly fun, Obviously because I was fortunate to find a clean racer and we both got clear of the rabble as quick as possible.
  • Eliminator - Got to under 30 and got knocked as quick as I could. Waste of 5 minutes but got what I wanted, The points.
  • Playground games - I don't really care about winning or losing here as you get the points either way, I do try the best for the team unless I find a reason not to though. Sadly this week there was a cheater (Yes in playground games), He was in a dark purple Nissan pulsar and was whizzing around the temple map at warp speed. A couple of my team mates quite rightly left so I was comfortable just letting them win to complete It as soon as possible.
  • Horizon Tour - I normally quite enjoy this, Its just an easier Trail most of the time. This completed itself when after I did the Open racing in the 911GT3RS so I don't know what happened there.
  • Bentley Blower 100m drive - I'm fortunate or unfortunate enough(depends which way you look at it) to own the car, Just finished the 3 road races so the big grind is next. I made it into a 4wd a class, The front spoiler is hilarious.

They are giving out 100 Forzathon Points to everyone for the inconvenience caused by 100 miles challenge. Not a fan of this hand out, but be that as it may, you can earn 60 points in 5 minutes just doing arcade. 100 points for a one hour drive feels like nothing. And there is also a question of three cost, 4 millions is a lot for most of players

Just had this message come through the game as I was finishing the last of the 3 Road races, There's timing.

Has there been anything in the Shop even worth getting? I've seen a few Wheelspin cars pop up, but they seem like cars you can get eventually.

So... for reference, this Challenge has been in the game since the beginning of December (S2 and S3 were added together, to account for the change being during the studio's Christmas break) and public knowledge since January 6th when S3 went live and all of the playlist was revealed...

... but no attempt has been made to change or fix it and they're basically doubling the standard reward (80FP for completion, plus 100FP to "make up for it") for making it take five times longer, so now it's worth 2FP a minute instead of less than 1FP a minute (compared to Arcade which is worth 10FP a minute).

And they've only realised it's a bit of a grind after it's been live for six hours despite being in the list for six weeks?

And the fact it's a 4m credit car isn't even the thing they're apologising for.

Has anyone worked out where the location is for the photo? I've been right in the middle of La Selva on the map, and even in the village.

I snapped my car in Uxmal, others did it in the airport. As far as I can tell, you just need to make sure the forest/jungle ("selva" is, after all, Spanish for forest or jungle) is in the background of your shot.

Especially when you manage to grab one from the Auction House for a little bit less money, then the game crashes losing you both the car and the money. It's going to cost me around 7.7 million or so now, this week.

If you still haven't managed it this is exactly where I took mine, Came up straight away.

Does anyone know exactly what time Car Pass cars are released? It's 11:12 PM on currently and the game won't let me grab the XJ220S, saying that it won't be available until the 13th...which will be over in ~45 minutes. :odd:

Car pass cars release date has been weird for me too, my XJ220S could be claim the minute new season started but the XJR13 from last week I have to wait 3 days to be allowed to claim it. I tried restarting the game and the Xbox multiple times but the game always says too early. I think similar thing happen to my Huracan Evo or Espada too, I needed to wait a few days to use it.

Tomorrow's daily is to complete a Playlist activity. Leave one for tomorrow.
Drive on the Highway and smash the guard rail until it pops up.

But what happens when the map says you're on THE spot, but there's no treasure?
