Reading from reports I don't want to be there even when the Ticket is free ;)
Yeah I've read the same bud, which is disappointing. I was looking forward to it too. I'll wait and see if they patch anything and improve the servers.

On that subject, the FH5 subreddit is quite fun at the moment. I looked yesterday evening and found the top ~50 posts or so were all people showing off car photos and basically enjoying cars in the game.

This is how it should be. Just car fans having fun. :gtpflag:

That is what I do most of the Time.

I was in Stuttgart 2 weeks ago and went to the Porsche Museum. Nice collection of Porsches and beautiful clean and classy building.
I came across the Porsche 356.

Last weekend I played FH5 and tried the 356 Emory (restomod). Damn, that thing is a blast to drive.

There is also a Carrera GT in the Museum. What a piece of art that car is when you see it in real life.

Solar Crown is going to age very poorly if it turns out FH6 is going to even anywhere in East Asia at all. :P But yeah I'm mostly just grazing in Mexico right now, just waiting for the Chaser tomorrow.

That's just how bad the newest WRX is, it even killed all the action/fun in this subforum.

That's what happens when you take a car that should have been in a car pack somewhere this Series and set it next to the literal Evo III. :P

Honestly not that the JXZ80 would be much better but it's a damn sight better than Obvious Filler Car for track day bros. :P

Honestly this is why they need people specifically working on adding new customization parts!

Well... I'm one who plays now GT4 Spec II, sorry for the silience :-D
Anyway, tomorrow the Chaser, i'm quite hyped to drive this one!

There's a lot of cool JDM cars now in Forza Horizon, but where's my Cappuccino and my Beat? the ABC trio needs to be in Horizon :-)
Saw a Suzuki Cappucino with some light aero parts on the way home from work when I was on the ring road of Edmonton, about two weeks ago! it looked pretty darn cool!!

I find this decision by the Hot Wheels subreddit mods to be quite odd. They took my FH5 photo down because they thought it was AI-generated. The photo is literally an in-game screenshot I took in Forza Horizon 5!

Solar Crown might not even be alive by the time FH6 is announced. There’s also the potential MS releases FH6 on PS5 for tons more sales and hype.

I've only ever seen Kei cars on TV, very envious of you bud. I love Kei's because they're different, and I like to embrace different and quirky things in life. Life is far too short to follow the norm, let your freak flag fly and go for it. Would love to own an Autozam or Cappuccino but I'd never be able to drive them lol.

I came back from the U.S. a few weeks ago and we actually stopped at a Subaru dealer just to see one in the flesh as we don’t get them over here. I was honestly amazed at how dated it felt, but in that regard I actually kinda like it because of that. The plastic cladding also didn’t bother me so much after actually looking at it either.

I've been checking out the Crew 2 as it was dirt cheap and I thought why not give it a go? So I've been checking that out instead.

Doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the new WRX so struggled to get through the playlist this week for once. Usually i jump into it on Friday morning and get to 20 points at least but not this series. This latest one doesn't really do much for me unlike the previous series which I thoroughly enjoyed but that's life. I'm more looking forward to the next update in early October.

I have to admit that after unlocking the WRX I only drove it back to the main festival. I haven't touched it since. No particular reason. I really must take it out on the map soon.

I actually don't mind the addition of the WRX - B Modern Rally is the single most overused car class for seasonals, so it's nice to have something in that class that I haven't already driven a hundred times, even if it is just another Subaru. Plus, it's the first WRX in the game with the modern FA24 engine instead of the old 90s EJ25 that STi clung onto, so at least there's something technically interesting about it to balance out its less than lovely looks.

This is it for me; it basically is a WRX (which is snoozeville to me), but it's a WRX with an all-new engine. Shame it's actually less good PI-wise than the EJ25 WRXes, but I also haven't slapped rally tires on mine yet so I don't know how it stacks up in comparison to the 2019 WRX from the car pass.

Hot take, that 2019 WRX should've gone into Track Toys and I'm tired of pretending it shouldn't have been. :P

My weird gamer need to collect them all never really bothered me much in earlier Forza games, but FH5 is going great (due to taking the gaming laptop with me on holiday, among other sillinesses).

Evidence from the end of last season:

I still get a big smile on my face each week as I drive around in whatever was needed to complete the 20 point reward, and then I usually do a few fun races afterwards just to enjoy myself some more. No pressure, just the weekly bit of fun with cars.

Quite disappointed that the Chaser has no other Aero options other than a pretty meh looking Forza Widebody.

Would have much preferred if they had done a basic fender flare option like we see on the R31 Skyline.

Also - for the 90's month upcoming, I'd honestly be happy if we just got 7-8 returning cars (though of course New-to-Forza machines are welcome too)

I mean the list of 90's cars from previous games is already immense;

1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde
1990 Alfa Romeo SZ Sprint Zagato
1990 Alpine GTA Le Mans
1998 Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600
1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
1996 Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo
1998 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo
1995 Ferrari F355 Challenge
1995 Ford SVT Cobra R
1992 Ford Falcon GT
1995 Honda CR-X Del Sol SiR
1994 Honda Civic 1.5 VTI
1996 HSV GTS-R
1990 Jaguar XJ-S
1997 Maserati Ghibli Cup
1998 Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R
1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau
1993 Porsche 928 GTS
1995 RUF CTR2
1999 Shelby Series 1
1996 Subaru SVX

A series featuring just a few of these would be awesome, especially since some of them have never featured in Horizon before too.

Would love to see this finally make it's way over to FH! (with some track width adjustment too)

Just from that list I can name a few that I'd instantly place in 'highly likely' status. The 928, of course, but the V600 would be an easy portback from FM2023, and we're honestly due for a Jag, so the XJR/XJ-S wouldn't be out of place either. Just depends on if those would go in a car pack as New-to-Horizon cars (as has been tradition with the car packs as of late) or if they fill out the Playlist.

Me, I'm still tryin' to work out what the stream meant by a "surprise" for this season. Could it be birthday badges for Charleyy's birthday? Or perhaps Horizon Backstage being added?

The Chaser is quite a let down in terms of customisation. That's taken some of the fun out of it but I'm still going to get it because I've never seen it in ANY game. I didn't even know the car existed until it was unveiled in the season preview.

Oh gimme that Sprint Zagato!!

I see all the complaints about the WRX's looks and I'm over like.... I haven't liked a WRX on first sight since I remember thinking the 08 looked boring. They are just fun to drive though so I'll take them all. I do echo the sentiment of wanting another b-class modern rally since that class is overused and under represented

Absolutely; hell, even the current WRC grid has some contenders on this front, but I have a feeling that the biggest reason the Modern Rally class is basically the Evo v. Impreza club is because anyone else that competed in the WRC usually gets slotted into the Hot Hatch or Super Hot Hatch categories, even AWD versions of the Focus and Fiesta, because when the Car Class mechanic was introduced for the sake of EventLab, those cars pretty much all got grandfathered into 'em by the very nature of their base models being hatchbacks not meant for the rally scene. The Hyundai i30 N added in Lunar New Year is pretty much the closest we're going to get to the i20 currently competing in the WRC, but that ended up in the Hot Hatch class too because it wasn't the i20, and I'm pretty sure the GR Yaris was spared from the same fate because it happened to be the exact model on the WRC grid.

I don't think this'll change any time soon either; I feel like we'll never get the new Ford Puma, for example, because it was never sold in the United States and is thus outside Turn 10's purview with Ford, and Hyundai's N division, even if it does have a long-term marketing agreement with Microsoft, seems more preoccupied with getting its road cars out there than drawing any attention at all to its rally success--bit of a shame too, since the Puma's one of the top selling cars in Britain now and the i20 would be a neat fit with the rest of Hyundai's line-up, alongside the Elantra N if we ever get that. Though, knowing our luck, the Puma will be sent to Sports Utility Heroes and the i20 to Hot Hatch.
