Yes you can, I already did to get it upto 875. You can remove the air restrictor plates as well as change stuff like cams and valves. However they are somewhat limited, as are the rest of the performance upgrades.

Ah. I thought 875hp was stock for those. Maybe it was 825. I'm trying to decide if I should twin turbo my SRT-10 Ram with the V10 or try to swap in the 540 Hemi and see if it can also be excessively boosted. NASCAR swap is available, but I'm sure it won't be as much power as either turbo option can be.

High Speed Ring: (someone said this is ripping off GT tracks. This is nothing like it. Shares the name only, and its a rather generic name anyway. This one's actually got a ring. :dunce:)

  • Eh, kinda boring. Will probably be fun if we can get several people messing around. Do some spontaneous drags, drift, etc.

I'm game for that. Just fool around crash into one another powerslide all over the place...good fun.

I'm being a total cheap ass in this game.

I could afford two ZR-1's right now but I'm being a tight ass and saving...

...For something. Yeah, I think I'm going to go buy that ZR-1 now.

I was supposed to be saving but instead I bought a Carrera GT for £350,000 :dunce:

Bwahaha thats awesome, back to the roots! :D
Btw. since theres a Ford Fusion Stockcar too, can you put this engine into the '69 Mustang?

I have the same problem. I am afraid to spend a dime, so I keep using the cars that are gifted to me.

I haven't been spending much myself, but that's one thing I'm avoiding to do so far. I won't use the reward cars, I prefer to have to buy them myself. But I am trying to not buy cars just because I want them just yet. Right now I'm working on getting a few cars set up for online racing.

Well, see...I am doing the season. And so far in my season, the ZR1 isn't needed, and yet, that is the car I want to buy. I don't want to wipe out my funds and then need a better car for an upcoming event :guilty:

Yeah, I've not bought anything apart from the 3rd gen Trans Am which is 6,000 credits. All my pics are from free play.

Got plenty of credits to buy something though and ZR-1 is on my mind to buy.

I actually like using the gifted cars. the scirocco has served me very well and a lot of fun. Also did a cheap upgrade on the New shape Mustang and now that thing is tail happy as anything in GT5 Prologue.

I never have enough money. Just got to the A class championship but the only A class car I have is a 950+ HP Dodge RAM with stock tyres and brakes!

I went with the GTA as well and Knight Rider'd it. :D

Read: I brought the design off of Shopfront, I can't paint worth a holy damn.

Been using that and the Brera mostly, but I sucked it up and brought the ZR-1...and there's plenty I can do with it, first I have to resist the temptation to give it more power. :ill:

The Brera is fantastic, only thing I did to it was agg the 8c V8, just sharpened the power up a bit for some class C events.

Did the same. I've been resisting going all out on it. As I said before - cheap ass.

Who needs powah, its dam fun with just the V8 :P

Another nice cheap fun car, Merc C32 with the S whatever AMG V8 in it.

Oh, hadn't thought about that being possible. I was a little disappointed with the lack of AMGs. S65 would've been nice. Guess a do-it-yourself C65 will work.

Well i got the 100,000 drift points achievement last night! Was challenging to say the least (well once i got into it - it got easier).

My problem is - the achievement for the 'World Traveller' i'm on the last race of season 4 and i'm level 39 - I have made sure ive raced at every race location when going to test drive i picked one from each last night. Yet still no achievement. Its really annoying. I even pick the races that say "See new tracks" in the tips. Still nothing !!!

Anyone shed any light on this?

Just so you know, rally di positano and amalfi coast are counted as 2 seperate locations.

All the commercials are saying "this is not a simulation, this is an invitation." And I don't see how you can NOT be so tempted to smoke the gamepad or XBOX 360 steering wheel playing this game.
because you didn't like the demo ? because you thought there was too much grip and too much steering assist' ? 💡

I grabbed myself a Lotus Evora last night, and it is beyond a pleasant surprise. I haven't driven a car that is both easy to drive, yet technically challenging like that in a game - ever. I'm absolutely loving the way the game is set up, and the way I'm easily able to flow from car to car, event to event, etc. Although, I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get the thing where you're rewarded cars based on how you drive. That would have been sweet, but probably didn't have enough polish to make it into the final game.

This may be a silly question:

When will the VIP cars be available for download for the people who didn't want to spend the extra $20 for them?

Part of FM.net's recent FAQ has a question asking if VIP will be available for none LCE purchasers eventually for a fee. Their response is "Maybe. We're working on it".

It would be silly if they didn't. Some of us didn't really have a "need" or a "want" for a USB drive and a keychain. But I would like to push a ZR1 around the Nurburgring, being the Corvette guy here and all. I've noticed that in my version of the game, I can select the car to download them, and it will pull up a DLC menu in-game, but then give me an error code. So, they'll probably be available for $5 later on down the road. Thats a reasonable price.

What blew my mind today was driving my Lotus Evora around and attempting to figure out what the weird 'XX:XX' number was above my digital speedometer, especially since it changed so radically from last night to this afternoon when playing. Then it dawned on me... Its the clock, in military time. Displaying the time in real life.

A tiny detail I know, but totally friggin sweet. Now I will know when its time to quit when I'm playing too late.

If i'm not mistaken can't you buy the VIP cars for like 80msp points each? i saw they GT3 RS as one of the 80msp, think the zr1 is one as well, i won't be shelling out the money for those anytime soon, but eventually down the line why not. Last night on my 2nd attempt i got 98,687pts drifting on the Kaido touge stage, if i didn't have to go to sleep, i would have done it again, i will grab that badboy as soon as i get home from work. I messed up about 4-5 sections too so if i stay consistent should be no problem. I'm just glad it's "FUN" going for it, and not a chore! :)👍

According to what I've read from Turn10, they've said they will not be available later for DLC, at least that's my understanding.

No you can only get them if you purchased the collector's edition of the game.

Yup. The clock on the dash of the 500 is ridiculously like the real thing. They've even made sure to accurately represent the fuel gauge, as it appears in small chunks on the circular display, next to the time. It also lights up exactly the right colour and brightness and reflects the light exactly the same way the real thing does. 👍

Same goes for the MINI as well, pretty awesome.

is there not a drift mode? Is it an event only? Or should i ad another 2 hours of playing to reach it?
There is no drift mode. If you press left on the D-Pad though, it'll bring up your current drift score. It's always on as well, no matter what you're doing.
