To be fair, we are used to MS mugging us, but not being able to upload photos without Gold is an absolute joke.
Also, has anyone noticed how 99% of the people who race online either
A) Can't Drive
B) Have NO sense of their surroundings
C) Ram
D) All of the above
?
A) Driving with a pad can be twitchy, but some people just don't have any consideration for other racers.
B) A lot of people completely disregard that there are other people alongside them during some corners or will just try to drive through a car in front if it doesn't get the power down as early. A lot of drivers also refuse to concede a place even when they have already lost it going into the corner. There are others who think that every corner on a course is an overtaking opportunity, and will try to come from 5 car lengths behind down your inside under braking.
C) Some people do it on purpose, some people have no idea how to follow another car closely and refuse to adjust their predetermined braking points to accommodate the car in front. Once again, some people will think that a pass is possible anywhere on the circuit and will try to stay unnecessarily close the whole time. No-one is perfect and I don't mind getting a nudge where it's been 50:50 going into a corner, or if someone has made a slight mistake and made contact, although I would always let someone past if I thought I had gained the place by bumping them off-line.
I'm going to add my own pet hate,
D) Players who weave or sideswipe in order to stop you passing down straights.
Weaving is the act of moving more than once to defend your line in any given situation. If you move to cover the line from the car behind, and he then ducks back under you, (in theory) you shouldn't move again until it is necessary to retake the racing line for an approaching corner.
The bottom line is that if the person in front of you has decided that he isn't going to let you pass no matter what, it will usually end in tears for both drivers.
