This is great! My biggest complaint against Forza 3 is gone now, the view was way too far up front before. My only question is why Turn 10 waited this long to tell us this.

Hopefully it won´t effect framerates to much. I mean it´s for multi screen setup and then you have 3 Xbox 360s rendering the graphics so you may loose the constant 60 fps if you like most mortals only run one monitor and one 360.

Big relief there is still hope for a great cockpit view. Dare I hope they will add a mod to remove the steering wheel and arms animations as well . Running the demo I had pretty much decided on hood view for this one.

Appears that there may be an adjustable seat in cockpit view after all, istead of the granny view.

Problem with that is, it warps the track and makes it look VERY wrong (FM2 nurburgring)

I prefer the default, it gives you the view that you get when you drive a real car but it doesn't try to simulate peripheral (sp?) vision. i.e it mimics what you are concentrating on.

thats what I thought too but....
...isnt the the default look a little too much? I mean. I know it gives you a great view up ahead but you would also need to see a bit on the sides when your overtaking.(or when your being overtaked)

Yes but giving artificial peripheral(sp) vision just doesn't look right imo.

I was lucky enough to be able to tryout the full game today and it's awesome, however the online mode is ummm, lets say I was a bit lost.

However Kaido in AE86 is a real blast.

No, you can only adjust the field of view which just makes it look like you are sitting closer to, or further from the wheel.

You can feel a little bit better knowing that with the postal strikes due to start next week, no-one who has got the game ordered online in the UK will be getting it until at least the 27th/28th. It's rather annoying.

Why people preordered through amazon and the like is beyond me, people take the risk of problems with delivery, like postal strikes / lost in mail / late delivery, its just not worth it imo.

99.9% of the time pre-ordering online means you get the game early if anything. Of course a lot of people who pre-ordered this online did so a long time ago, and didn't have a crystal ball to see that there would be strikes at the end of the week this game was due out.

There is news that Game have started to pack there pre-orders. I think that most online retailers will dispatch earlier than normal if they have the product in stock. The last thing they want is a bunch of people clogging up there phone lines complaining that they haven't received there order.

I think there are two reasons..

1. Price.. Some places are doing the LCE for £39.99, a huge saving.
2. Generally get it a day early - people keep say how invariably (for them), they get it a day early, so since postal strikes happen once in a blue moon this isn't too bad a risk.

I've for it ordered at Blockbusters online (for price), but also have a free pre-order in my local independant that will release it on Thursday (but it's £15 more)..

I wonder if we'll have a luxury of livery elements, like decals, vinyl shapes, text fonts and national flags. In FM2, you could get pretty detailed and able to create some liveries pretty close to the in-game liveries, though you had to create quite a few decals yourself. Are you able to apply stuff to window areas this time?

I suppose it comes as no surprise that the thing I really want F3 for is to paint me up some rides. But PLEASE, T10, no bugs, please...
