It's crazy to think that nowadays 8 or 8.5 are considered bad or average ratings, videogames websites really needs to change the rating system it became ridiculous.

By the way, I don't think 8 or 8.5 is considered a bad rating for most games. But, for those AAA blockbuster titles, it's expected to see 9s...

A lot of games do well when they're getting 8s. It's just that that Forza has been consitently getting ratings in the 9s, so it's 'bad' by the standards of the franchise to get 8s.
 
Does any of the reviews mention 900 degree steering problems?

Anyways I have to wait for review from a car site because 90% of gaming sites are not fully capable to review sim style racing games.
And of course fellow friends, add your reviews to this thread when you get the game.

Of course not.. without delving into telemetry all you would feel is the effect of too much instant countersteering, at best saving the car prematurely, at worst causing it to snap the other way a bit..

Of course, like you, gaming reviews aren't really that interesting for me.. it's nice to know as a game it has got plenty in it so to speak, but I am awaiting Team VVV's review (Can't see it in work, it's on youtube isn't it), and InsideSimRacing (Controversial, but at least they can compare to sims, and spend a huge amount of time in that world)..

But short of that, where do you get any good sim reviews? It's all armchair pundits with axes to grind on forums, like us!

I've not ran at the FM3 and FM4 "Ring" Back2Back yet. But my first thought while running at the FM4 green hell was "Boy, this feels narrow" trackday mode didnt help lol. It could be the new cockpit cam and FOV in FM4 as that's all I really use.
 
Metacritic once had Dirt 3 as the best racer on the PS3.(might still be).
It was one of my biggest disappointments this year.

One mans meat and all that.

What's the difference between Insidesimracing and Team VVV ?
Is Team VVV better at reviewing driving/racing sims ?

I know that Insidesimracing are playing a lot of sims and they said they sometimes drive real cars on race track.

I bet if F4 had weather and night / day it would have been a 10/10 5/5. Thats really about all it needs for perfect scores from what I could tell. Havent played the full game yet so I have no credibility. Just going by some of the reviews.
 
Jesus. Eurogamer gave it a 9 out of 10. A 9 at Eurogamer is like an 11. Those are hard to come by there.

I wish insidesimracing.tv had theirs up though. It's my favorite review to watch.
 
I can't stand the wait anymore! I finally played Rivals against a friend's records last night and I'm hooked. This is coming from someone who absolutely can't get into online gaming!

Now that the car physics seem so much closer to what I enjoyed in GT5, I don't think even 2.0 will bring me back. I'm sure I'll check it out but I'm also sure I'll get bored just as quickly.

Oh, I agree. SEGA Rally on PS3 got a 9 and it's the best arcade racer in the past decade, one of the best racers ever.
 
Seems like Forza 4 is pretty darn good... Is there a video-review already up? Or is there an embargo for (official) videos for Forza 4 until the 11th?
 
Forza 4s biggest changes are in the simulation aspect. From a casual gamers perspective it will look like nothing much has changed other than the basic shinier graphics + more content.
