A PC that runs Forza Apex well... as it stands at fhd 60fps is probably over $1,000 us?
My CPU is $400. My GPU is $400, you need 8Gb ram plus, more like 16Gb ($100) to be safe, you need at least a 240Gb ssd ($100) to have reasonable space, then motherboard ($200), case $50, psu $100 and then a copy of Windows $100.
I mean I see a lot of the guys here who have their pc spec and many run GTX980s which is a $750 plus gpu?
Also you can obviously do a lot more with a PC as far as general surfing, apps goes.
Yes, but all the other steering modes are considered as driving aids. I don't want any more steering assist (there's even some slight handholding with the simulation mode).By chance are you using simulation Steering? It's an odd Steering mode and makes joystick response super sensitive.

I'm not worried about the RPs, more about the sim aspect. Forza, just as GT, is more realistic with everything off, unlike Assetto Corsa etc. But yeah, as you said, even the simulation mode has some stupid assist build in. I might try another steering mode, in the end, the tank slappers that occur in simulation mode aren't exactly realistic either.Yeah, but you don't lose much in the way of bonus percentage for just using normal. Or for ABS, or for clutchless manual. I mean you probably end up with more points for being faster than you do for engaging those modes.
I find that I'm slower with ABS on than off, but the other two I drive with whatever is most comfortable, which is normal and clutchless. It's already hard enough to be smooth with a controller driving stuff like the floppy pony cars, or the twitchy bastard hypercars.
I've never been convinced with Forza's simulation mode anyway, it's certainly not unassisted because it doesn't feel anything like other sims to drive, even with a wheel. It does something funny, and if the choice is two modes that are both messing with your inputs, just pick the one that isn't a prick to drive.
Does anyone know how to get past that completely blank tab that shows up after you hit the a button to enter? its been the thing avoiding me from playing this game.
Do you have the Xbox App installed? Not sure if the game needs it to run, but if it does it wouldn't surprise me.
Yes i do, but when i hit sign in, the same blank tab shows up
Have you tried the page up bypass trick? If that doesn't work you may have to wait on a fix, or maybe try the official Forza forum to see if anyone there found a fix.
While holding Page Up, close the popup that shows the error.Page up bypass trick? How does that work?
The thing is that simulation Steering is not very realistic in itself. All its doing is removing the dampers in the inputs and making the Steering 1:1, mimicking an actual wheel, but with such a minimal amount of degrees of rotation you have on the sticks, it just makes it an unrealistic approach.I'm not worried about the RPs, more about the sim aspect. The lighting at night is mighty impressive by the way, but also rather performance heavy:

Personally if I was building a PC for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, then I would wait for the NVidia 1070 or 1080 to release before spending some money on a new PC. And while the 980Ti and Titan X will be getting price drops. In the end, I think passing up on the new generation of graphics cards is a small step in the wrong direction.$750 for a 980? C'mon man, stop just making stuff up. You can easily get them for around $400 and even right under $400 sometimes. I paid just under $900 for my desktop in January (pre-built) and it has a 970 in it. I'm running this game with settings maxed out averaging 70+ fps. I turn down AA just one setting and I'm sitting mid 80's. This game isn't demanding at all. My 765m laptop was running it at mid 40's at mid settings.
No. This isnt Steam.Anyone know if it would be possible for a friend of mine to download it, put it on a stick, and give it too me?
I see a couple guys on that leaderboard that are also on a lot of the normal Forza 6 leaderboards. LMR Harmonic and BAM bOx both have amazing times on a lot of tracks. 👍Apex is my First Forza game ever but I can manage quickly good laps. Overall P4 of over 52k @ Brand Hatch second event O.O Awesome game so far!

Is it me or is the hitching/stuttering more serious than I thought? Because I was doing a 6-lap LMP race at Sebring (the Spotlight event) and the game locked up for 10 seconds on the last lap. I assumed the game just crashed but after waiting those 10 seconds the game suddenly resumed gameplay. Sadly waiting was in vain as I ended up heading straight for a wall.. It isn't just this event either. It also happened in Rio with the new Ford GT, the Touring Car challenge... I have the settings set to Dynamic, which makes me assume the game will be smart enough to turn down some settings. I also checked up on my VRAM usage, GPU usage... everything looks okay (Rivatuner overlays do not seem to work). By the way I have a 280X.
Perhaps I'll grab the latest AMD driver update and see if it'll turn out better, even though the release notes for the driver do not mention Forza 6 Apex in the slightest..
