No VIP only cars, Just "Forza Edition" versions of cars everyone gets.
All five of the cars included in the VIP Car Pack are Forza Edition cars, including the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport Forza Edition, the 2013 Ram Runner Forza Edition, the 2012 Nissan GTR Forza Edition, the 1992 Ford Escort RS Forza Edition, and the 2014 BMW M4 Forza Edition. That’s five awesome Forza Edition cars right from the start, plus custom Driver Gear, and more!

They aren't inspiring a lot of confidence when it comes to 'new' (meaning, never before seen vehicles)

If all the added in cars are going to be ripped from FH3 or whatever was left that wasn't ported over from older games, then even if it's a strong list, it still very much feels like a sparse sequel.

Well, considering I'll be sitting out on DLC this time round, there goes my incentive to spend extra on VIP. All I need to know now is if we can drive any car from the start on freeplay, if that gets in, even if its the rental system from previous Forzas, I'll get FM7, base package.

I guess i'll just get the normal edition and buy the car pass separately, as i see no reason to buy any of the other editions(except maybe for that day-one pack.)

Well, I don't give a flying 🤬 about these homemade "Edition" cars.

At this rate I won't be surprised if they won't reveal any more new to Forza cars before the monthly DLC starts dropping. On the bright side, I'm glad the overpriced VIP membership won't be a consideration this time around.

Wow, I did not want or need, forza edition cars in the Motorsports series. There's absolutely no point in it.
Fully agree just like the fast n furious edition cars...THEY DON'T BELONG IN FORZA MOTORSPORT but yet T10 decides to use them as fillers smh. Whyyy are they taking this route? The car list is mainly underwhelming if you ask me.

This time last year, I had the ultimate edition of Forza Horizon 3 pre-ordered. Good thing I didn't do the same this year, FM7 isn't looking that exciting if I'm honest.

While I like the fact that models have not been locked to VIP membership, Forza Edition cars just are not enough of an incentive to get the ultimate edition. It's looking like a purchase of the regular edition and maybe the car pass for me.

It's a double edged sword. You want people to get hyped for your game...but if all you are adding is one completely new track, and barely any 'new' vehicles, it doesn't bode confidence in getting people to pre-order your game.
Yeah, or we can have the alternative that FM5 introduced, and have all the DLC be cars that aren't new at all. I think I much prefer new cars to come from DLC.

That's not to say I don't want any new cars in the base game, but still, its premature considering the amount of cars left to reveal.

To be honest, is that necessarily a bad thing?
It isn't for me at all, that's how I thought it would be all along, with maybe a few brand new reveals right before launch ,coming in the base game. Car packs are where the goodies will be.

This Forza Edition stuff just comes off as lazy though, especially when you can take the base car and upgrade it to make it exactly the same performance wise. I can totally do without them, to me they are basically just car count fillers.

Still, for those on the fence like myself who see other sim racing options on the market, the lack of new things shown in FM7 certainly isn't doing a lot in terms of swaying me to purchase day one. But I also have other factors in me joining in the fray on Day 1.

Yeah, if I didn't get lucky and got Ultimate Edition for cheap, I would be getting a regular copy too.

Seriously, this is something I'd expect PD to pull. The irony right now.

I mean, at least there's a lot of criticism with what T10 is pulling right now. Not like the slavish obedience and nut slobbering that Polyphony would be getting from certain sects.

Same. Unless there are some epic, 100% new-to-the-Forza-universe (and/or remodeled, reasonably accurate 360-era) vehicles in the last Garage reveal next week, count me out on getting "FM6.5," at least until it goes on sale.

They are probably a replacement for the "Team Forza" cars from FM6.

Nope, it clearly states these are the cars for the VIP car pack. Weakest VIP car pack ever for sure.

Copy/pasting liveries from racing cars and making them count as multiple cars, now adding pretuned cars as Forza Edition cars and making them count as multiple cars.... not hard to reach 700+ cars and them shamelessly brag about it to be honest...

Once this game is out I will do a REAL car count.

The way I see it the main draw of the Ultimate Edition is the car pass, VIP is just a bonus. I haven't pre-ordered yet, but I'll likely still get the ultimate Edition for the car pass. Hopefully there are going to be other bonuses for VIP that have yet to be revealed.

They did reveal at least one Forza Edition car that is not a part of the VIP pack, so there are likely to be even more.

Yeah, I'm with you on the DLC. I'd be ok with new cars coming as DLC, it's what I want when I get DLC. Although in terms of the VIP Horizon edition cars, I can imagine it was done to not alienate the community with a day one DLC, and I think that's fine. Right now they're in the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" position I feel.

I'm still going to buy the Ultimate Edition. I think this games going to be quite a bit different then six. The career Mode should be better, the auction house coming back, the weather, I'm pretty excited to play.

I think a little too much is being put on the track list, (which I think is fine), and the car list(which will be absolutely stellar).

They do deserve all the heat they are and will get for this Forza Edition stuff though, especially releasing it this week. Whoever thought that was going to go over well, probably should be fired. (Well that may be a bit harsh, but at least they should have to sit in the stupid chair for a couple of months).
