Could have sworn my post was deleted...Oh well, let's give it another go. Is there an option to do multiclass racing in Free Play?
I never said it wasn't a minor thing. I said the exact opposite.^ No offence McLaren but if those minor things which have no bearing on actual play irk you, I'd hate to think what something truly serious would do
However realistic a racing game is, it's still just that. With over 700 cars, corners would no doubt of had to be cut.
It's not a game breaker & I'm willing to give it a pass
Gives enough time for bad players to gain enough credits for the 3 cars especially if you don’t play for a day. Also one more thing, can't they speed up the specialty dealer rotation a bit. 2 weeks seems like a long time.
Early first impressions all from Free Play:
-Environments look stunning with the new sky box. COTA showing sun & shadows with the SV looked gorgeous. As did Sebring. However, on Hockenheim & Laguna Seca, didn't get anything drastically different, I have read its random on Free Play though & on a second go at Laguna, it did show a bit more shadow.
-Biggest flaw found so far; new cars look good. Old car with the F50 has a glaring fault I can show from a couple quick grabs off the phone. I know this isn't the most ideal comparison, but going into photomode on FM7 seems to correct some of the flaws. The top is FM6, the middle is FM7, & the bottom is of course, real.
Most noticeable are the areas where the grille curves downward where as in FM7, the model just slants down. The trim piece around the grille and taillights is more pronounced in FM6 as well just as you can see it in the real car. The area around the exhausts in FM7 is quite round as well as is the area the plate goes on. Now, I've only seen the car on Laguna so far, but I'm not expecting a major difference in a different environment. Both cars are also, not 100% faithful at the end of the day either if one spends enough time looking. But, my critique is that FM7 looks like it took a step back on the player model because in photomode, the areas at the top of the grille are curved as they were in FM6. And this worries me a bit if some of the cars I raced a lot in the previous game look like they have similar flaws.
It's not a game breaker & I'm willing to give it a pass IF the game corrects these sort of adjustments by being meant to be played on the One X where the game can shine. For now though, it irks me a lot.

-Car sounds are improved. I'm sure faults are to be found on individual cars, but the ones I've tried are good enough for me. However, much like I found inthe demo with the GT-R, the F50's in-car audio has a weird reverberation, as if it was captured from someone mic'ing the car whilst it was on a dyno inside somewhere; the reverb sounds like the exhaust bouncing off the walls of a building.

I guess I'm going to pre-order the Xbox one X this week, may as well get the elite controller bundle. Bring on the coolness.
If they did this, not only would they aggravate and alienate a large portion of their consumer base who either can't afford to upgrade to a new console or don't have the need for the upgrade's features, but they would also make any base XB1's on store shelves unsellable because they can't play new games, which would anger retailers who now have a bunch of expensive stock that no one wants. I really couldn't see Microsoft doing that unless they had some serious boneheads in charge of the Xbox division.Lets face it, Microsoft could have left out the base xbox with regards to FM7; or all their future games.
Hockenheim now has rain and thereby several changeable weather scenarios to configure in Free Play. Laguna Seca is day / random only, but so far I have noticed four different weather / TOD scenarios on that track.
Yes there is. Haven't tried it myself yet though. Still figuring out how to get the opponents I want.
It's going to double as my 4K HDR blu ray player. A good rated one of those is $250+ alone. I have a Sony one now, but will sell it as its brand new. That's almost half the price right there.I was going to get the Xbox one X, was all set to buy it when it was announced at e3. They took so long to open pre-orders that I spent the money I had for it on PC upgrades, FM7 is working great on PC for me as well. Personally, and looking at it now with fresh eyes; I would wait and see what the XoX version of forza is like before spending the cash on an XoX. But that is just me.
The Xbox One S can also play 4K Blu-Ray.It's going to double as my 4K HDR blu ray player. A good rated one of those is $250+ alone. I have a Sony one now, but will sell it as its brand new. That's almost half the price right there.
Edit: does anyone want a good deal on a 4K HDR Sony blu ray player?

I plan on getting an Xbox One X as I have an original Xbox and want to upgrade it to go with my 4K TV. However, since I already have Forza I am not too fussed about if I get an Xbox One X at launch. I'll do what I did with my PS4 Pro; walk into a store and if they have one I'll walk up to the counter and go "hello, I'd like a new console please".
This is a GT forum, I can post in publicWould you be willing to PM me how you find the PS4 Pro? I recently grabbed a T300 RS-GT with FM7 releasing on PC, so I can potentially make the jump over for GT sport and still use a wheel with the game. Plus I am interested in a few other PS4 exclusives.
I think some tracks have time change. I was doing a night race at Sebring and it transitioned to dawn.

VIR also, from what I've seen.
Night versions of Daytona and Nürburgring also have these transitions. Not sure about Le Mans.
Same kits as Horizon 3I seem to ask this every damn year while the answer never changes, but, does the RX-7 have the Spirit R kit yet?
