Well, no point in me using Unbeatable then...

This is something I've noticed in pretty much every Forza game since at least Forza 3. Near as I can tell it's to compensate for the fact that the AI can't take corners aggressively like a normal person can and just brakes whenever the racing line tells it to. All increasing the game's difficulty does is amplify the "magic afterburner" effect they get in straight lines.

So what is the story with the so called 200 ribbons? I checked all maps and there isnt even one of the FM6 maps that got extra ribbons. They counted weather maps as well or something?

I've been playing quite a bit and my overall view on the game is positive, it's a very good Forza possibly my favorite since 4. While some might think the changes from 6 to 7 are small, I think it's enough to make it an all-around complete game. I dunno how I feel about career mode yet and lack of qualifying is still a major let down.

I've encountered a bunch of glitches, though, on the Xbox version. Some small and some downright frustrating.
-Can't see bodykit mods on some cars. You select a mod and nothing happens... seen on BMW Z3 Coupe, 911 Turbo 3.3 and Escort Cosworth RS so far.
-No shift animations on some cars that should have it, for example the Ken Block Focus.
-There is a large black box blocking the Volvo Polestar in the Buy Car section.
-Some cars in Forzavista have random white blocks around. Assuming its for missing points of interaction.

And splitscreen is flat out unplayable. Sure, splitscreen is probably not so important to T10 or many players, but it's part of the game no less.
-Assists don't always apply. For example, selecting manual may stay as auto or driving line stays on when turned off.
-No engine sounds! Talk about a major oversight. All other sounds work except engine sounds.
-HUD items appear and disappear randomly.
-Count down timer never goes away and will block the map.

This one is annoying but there's a workaround. Do something that refreshes the car (i.e. highlight another car in the garage/dealer or go to the tuning screen) and your mods will appear.

At Tier 4 on the car collection scale and closing in on Tier 5. It's difficult for me to get 1st place in some events, they're a bit too short on races.
I also decided to try some loot crates and I noticed that the cars you're winning are just mainly cars you could buy from the dealership. I got a 1987 Civic Si and Alfa Romeo Montreal from 2 of them. With that said, I don't think I'll bother with them for now on unless I want mod cards.

Thanks for the tip. Suppose the other issue is still not being able to see the mod you are installing to begin with. Unless this refresh also allows me to see the mods as I install them too. 👍

I'll give it a go later on.

Just out of curiosity, how old is your XB1? I've not had any problems with the game myself, and it seems like a lot of the glitches are coming from people with consoles that are more than a couple years old.

It might, but I haven't tested it. At the very least it works for installing parts THEN seeing them.

2 years, maybe 3 I dunno. I actually thought as I was playing the game that my Xbox is on it's last legs and FM7 might be the game that kills it.

I’ve found that if you don’t get into first place by the time the final lap rolls around, the AI goes into Sunday Drive Mode™ and lets you catch up.

My experience too, but it's the kind of nonsense I have come to expect from games like Forza and GT. FH3 does the same.

I think it's more like the car(s) next in front of you. If you're fourth you will catch third, if 2nd and 3rd are together, you catch both, etc.

On an unrelated note, I'm finding the Delta S4 Group B really weird to drive as it keeps wheelieing under power coming out of corners. It behaving almost like a Stadium Super Truck.
That sounds pretty accurate for a Group B car. They were obscenely powerful and nigh-impossible to drive.

The Ford Gymkhana understeers like a boat with a stock setup, so I made a better one with much sharper turning (within Homologation rules too).

You can download it by searching for my name while you're in the car.

I took it to Rio and set a Top 10 out of 4500 players :)

Race lengths can be extended in the Forza Driver's cup, by going to the setup/assist, down at the bottom of the list is career settings where you can change the from standard/long/extra long, probably depended on the track but the lengths can be 2 laps/7 laps/21 laps

That was fast, people finding farming methods already ;)

It gets even more efficient:

  • Change the game mode to Timed Race.
  • Set the timer to 30 seconds.
  • Choose Restart after you finish a race.
Now you don't even have to drive and get around 9000 XP per minute once loading times are factored in.

I played a lot of forza over the past 2 days. I notice the pc version has some kind of memory leak. If you recycle the game every 90 minutes you will be fine. Otherwise, you will start to het stutter and heavy pop-in. I love that in career you can change the race lenght. I no longer have to drive like a lunatic on turn 1 to win. After the 1st lap, the ai spread out and it becomes fun to race. You will also earn alot more xp and credit. I did some amazing race where i had to drive like a man without fear to get back to podium position. That. Was on pro level.

Just need that Ram Runner..
