What's the evidence for the standard Type R? I've seen the files and screenshot of the GRC Civic but not the roadgoing model.

Honda did a promotional video recently using Forza Motorsport 7 where one of the people featured mentioned “being happy to be one of the first people to drive this car in the game”.

The game footage was inconclusive however, but seemed to hint that he actually used a 2016 car, at least in the footage that was broadcast.
 
Anyone having achievement issues? They’re not loading up on my account on the Forza website

Everything says you’ve done the achievements but I know I haven’t especially the online ones.

It's not the first time the achievements/rewards system is bugged and/or slow.


Just give it some time, and it will probably be back to normal. ;)
 
So I've tried playing multiplayer a bit more recently, but now I'm getting a disconnected from server message every 3-5 mins when in a race. It's the only game i've ever had this issue with (GTS, Assetto Corsa, PC2 and iRacing have never had these issues) I have UPnP enabled but it doesn't seem to help resolve the matter
 
Josef Newgarden posted a tweet that I find really, really hilarious in hindsight, especially considering the vast majority of my posts in this thread.



Again, I certainly know and can see how hard it is to develop a video game, and I know that decisions will not be universally beloved. But there is no denying that Forza 7, from the very minute it was announced at E3 last year, had been anemic at best, to a stinker that could possibly be the end of many people's desire to play Forza Motorsport at worst. (Certainly, it's the latter for me)
 
Anyone’s ghosts not showing up during rivals? I think I have it set on and I used to see the ghost car but now all I get is how many seconds I’m ahead or behind.
 
I'm not missing it. I find the ghosts too distracting and end up watching them too much rather than my self. (I use the far away behind cam, I've been using that view for 20 + years in racing games and find it difficult to try it any other way).

I use them for braking lines then when I pass them I try and ignore them.
 
I finally had a little time to play FM7 today. It had been around a month since I last played it, so it had to update first. Ok, that’s normal.
But the update was stuck on 0% for 20 minutes. So I cancelled the update, hoping I could just restart it. No.
I couldn’t launch the game or start the update.
I restarted the Xbox a couple of times but it didn’t help. Then I left it off for a couple of hours then tried again.
Now I couldn’t find the tile to click on to launch the game, just FM6 and FM3 were there.
I ended up finding where to launch the game, but it had to re download and re install the entire game.
So annoying when you can only play every now and then. I guess it decided to delete itself, probably out of spite of me. Why do video games hate me?
 
Just did 20 laps (extra long race) on Spa in the rain in the 1990 #1 Scuderia Ferrari 641 Formula 1 against the AI on Unbeatable.

Won by 15 000 meters. And got 648 000 credits with the mods.


But 15 km?!?! I know the AI isn't the best in the rain, and i'm by no means a good driver, but still... :lol:
 
Anyone else get a Monte Carlo Forza Edition if so what was it for? I got one when I got on Forza today but don’t remember what race it was for.
 
I guess because of participating in "Ahead of the curve" Rivals event with new Veloster at Watkins Glen...

Sadly, they are removing all that events /leaderboards just like that, and people can't see what was they fighting for many hours.

Btw, whose is that Monte Carlo?
It's not Lancia.

Seems like a random gift from T10. Lots of people have reported receiving one along with the Hyundai driver gear.

I am glad they decided not to just throw it out to everyone. I had one already and didn't get a second, which is nice considering I can't get rid of the one I have.

Is it the 1988 Monte with 24" wheels? If so, for some reason I've had one from the get go... hate that thing, looks dorky, but I can't get rid of it :boggled:
 
For the most part I love the Forza Edition cars. The extra bonus incentivizes driving them, and most of them are, in fact, fun to drive. Even the widebody look on a few of them is a nice addition. Yes, a few of them have the most obscene rear spoiler, and the Monte Carlo has the 'gangsta' 24 inch rims. But the fact that you have to keep it that way, really ticks me off. I can change the rims on the Monte Carlo, but not the size. That's just absurd. It's the only car that you can't do that on? Why Not? And what about the spoilers? You can't come up with a better look? Have you seen the size of the one on the MX-5? If that car had enough HP it could take off like that car from 007's "Man With the Golden Gun". Nobody at Turn 10's Art Dept. said "Gee that is a little too big"? The large spoiler isn't so bad on the Camaro ZL-1 or even the Acura NSX. I've played plenty of racing titles that didn't have licensing from major auto manufacturers, and those titles managed to have nice looking designs on their cars. (Burnout). If the car looks questionable, and may not appeal to 'the majority', shouldn't players have the option to change it? I think they should. That's just my opinion.

I got the Hyundai 2019 driver gear, the Monte Carlo FE (in a very nice shade of teal), the Torana FE and the Falcon GT F 351, all in the last two or three days. I don't mind the MC FE, it's a fun car and shows a sense of humor at T10, and both the Torana and Falcon are cars I wanted, so I'm happy.

I think the Hyundai suit is from the online Veloster races from a month or two ago. I'm not sure about the cars, though. Are you a VIP? I am.
