Starting to notice that this game has some serious frame rate issues in Xbox One....

I had hoped this first post-release patch would have fixed the problem with car thumbnails always showing the default manufacturer paint despite having purchased cars in different colors. Only workaround I've found is to go into the paint editor after buying a car and then change its color, and thereby the car thumbnail will now show the actual color applied to the car. This cumbersome workaround does obviously take up a lot of time and design slots for no good reason, so I really hope Turn will look into this. It's just confusing to browse cars with paints not matching in the thumbnails.

Porsche has combined with Xbox to celebrate today’s release of Forza Motorsport 7 by launching the Xbox Onesie.

The Xbox Onesie: Forza Motorsport 7 Performance Edition features large pockets for smartphones and controllers, leather forearm grips, a detachable hydration pouch and mouthpiece, and fully breathable fabric.

Australians will be able to order the Xbox Onesie: Forza Motorsport 7 Performance Edition, in a tailored fit, via the Xbox Australia Facebook page later this week.

I had no idea the motorcycle layout of Suzuka was included in the game, with the chicane after the hairpin before Spoon curve and the reprofiled Casio Triangle... Made for a very scary run out of the hairpin after Degner the first time around.

Can someone copy and paste please, can't open the link on work browser
Thank you

Today we released an update for Forza Motorsport 7 to address a number of stability-related issues for players on Windows 10 PCs. This update addresses several additional issues in the game on both PC and Xbox One. These fixes include:

- Fixed numerous livery-related issues, including some liveries applying as paint colors only, liveries not appearing in multiplayer, and game lock-ups when cancelling liveries.
- Fixed an issue where vinyls would not appear in the vinyl editor for players who were creating vinyl groups with HDR enabled.
- Arabic text is no longer reversed in game menus
- Default profile slider settings for wheel users are no longer maxed out
- Benchmark mode on PC now displays the correct minimum FPS
- Framerate now improved in loading with G-Sync enabled.

It's only me or there's no engine sound in split-screen?

There's a way to change the location in Forzavista? That garage it's way too dark, I miss the sunny attic from FM6.

It was only a matter of time. As soon as I saw the FH2 trailer, I knew it. Turn 10 should be more "sim focus" and less Hollywood action movie/youtuber friendly.
From Eurogamer Forza 7 review : "Arguably, Horizon has now become the lead Forza series, and Forza 7 is clearly inspired by its open-hearted generosity, its accessibility, its willingness to entertain. It doesn't quite hit those heights"

I strongly disagree. I mean, look at the games nowadays: Pcars, Assetto, Dirt Rally... only sims. Forza stands as a unique simarcade currently on market.
Do we really need another wheel-oriented sim on console?

Seeing y'all slagging Forza 7 off for everything and I'm just sitting here like "I can drive 700+ cars whenever I want, wherever."

In that regard, this is even better than the last installment. I didn't have to sit through a long intro at all, and could just get straight in. And once I found my way round the new menus, I could just pick what I wanted as always. So in that regard, the game is fine.

The only qualm I ran into at first was the upgrades, or more specifically, the homologation. In short, the rental cars come with the upgrades by default. I knew something was off when I saw the Abarth 131 with 250hp. I mean, the actual rally version might have had that, but not the Stradale. Thankfully, if you just disallow upgrades, the cars go back to their stock variants. But that caught me right out at first.

The only actual semblance of a bug I ran into was one whereby the game kept insisting I had to change cars because the regulations had changed, despite me not actually changing the regs ever. But it's hardly the worst thing in the world. So personally, and forgive me for going against the grain here, I say Forza 7 is alright.

Of course, I've hardly driven everything after barely 2 hours of driving, but I had some ideas as to what the best car to drive might be, for me. One of them was about right; I loved the Alfa Giulia TZ2 in GT5, I loved it in Forza 6 and now I love it in Forza 7 too. It's still just brilliant. Still, plenty more cars to drive yet...let's just see if one of them is good enough to make me write about it.

I've had the same problem with no engine sound in split-screen. Not only that, but the second player assists didn't work all the time. No matter how many times we set it to manual rather than auto, it stayed auto. Needless to say we did one or two races before calling it quits.

Agree on the garage. Why they made the lighting so bad is beyond me.

I got 25 million credits last night using the "Daytona Glitch" method. I think that more than makes up for the subpar VIP pass. :sly:
I had it happen to me by accident yesterday.

  • I did a 50 lap race at Daytona with Super Easy Steering (rubber band on the trigger) and 3 VIP Mod Cards.
  • Got no reward at the end of the race.
  • Went to Dubai for a 1 lap race in order to take photos of my Paints, game froze.
  • After mildly panicking that my save file may be corrupted, I restart and have a bunch of Rewards waiting for me.
This needs to get patched super fast, as it not only destroys the in-game economy (the Ram Runner method is fine in my opinion as it's just a grind) but also causes the game to crash on demand.

I cant get in my car in autovista . Is this a bug or they removed it ?
It's still there, you have to press down on the R Stick to use it though.

Note: I'm annoyed that I have to go in Free Play mode to test drive a car, I preferred when it was on it's own. Now, I have to setup a race whenever I want to use it. In which, is why I just select a track, forget the other settings, and load a race. From there, I can just go test drive a car.

I noticed in the Stats there is a "Time spent test driving", but I've not seen the ability to test drive. Maybe I'm missing something. But I also wish there was a test drive option right from the main menus rather than free play only.

Also, anyone else notice the poorly rendered interior you catch a glimpse of when starting a race?

It's probably referring to the Test Drive option on the race menu screen whenever you're about to race in free play mode.

Today I played a couple of races with all updates installed and... I can't move the camera Y axis in Forzavista. Niether in the garage or at the boxes before the race starts. Wtf?

Just did the Daytona method one more time...

It still works... But this time the game didn't crash. :odd:

Still gave me the rewards.
Gonna be a pain to go through 990 rewards. :nervous:

For those who are glitching to get lots of credits.

Be careful

T10 has a history of wiping user stats, forcing start overs and even blocking users for doing such things in Forza.
In this case if they see a user with 990 rewards and several million credits they are going to be able to tell they are cheating and may take action.

You can test drive once you have a track loaded. I think it can do it in career races before you start the race and you can of course do it in free play and from test drive you can tweak your tune as always.

So, the BMW M4 Forza Edition...

The front of the car is so low to the ground (even at max Ride Height) that it scrapes the ground, and if you drive it around Lime Rock it’ll dig into the tarmac so hard sometimes that you will spin on the spot.

Talk about simulation :-)

I put the spring rate right up and dampers stiffer too, made it a lot better but it still decks out at times

Funny, im just trying the M4 FE right now too, just checked in here while loading up a new track.

But yeah its really low, took it for a spin on mugello and it scraped everywhere.

Waiting for a race to load is still a long wait on my first gen Xbox One.

Car selection screen runs slightly better after the patch.

Still no rivals....
