I think an FM8 is definitely on the way, the only question is 2019 or 2020.
hello, I tested this weekend to create a multiclass race with 2 buckets and scrored not independantly.
The options with the number of buckets and score independantly were locked to 2 and Yes respectively.
system: Xbox one S
track: Long beach short
cars 24
buckets: GT racing reborn; Forza GT
Why is score independantly locked?
Thanks
If the next Motorsport is released as a stand-alone title like the previous seven games, then I could see it being released as FM8. However if it's launched as a Game-as-a-Service release, it would be such a departure, it would require a new name. Maybe Forza Motorsport Infinite as @urmie suggested. I just don't see it being called FM8.
Thank you, very helpfulIn the race setup screen, can you check if your Game Type is set as "custom" or "multi-class"? It should be set as custom.
See if that works. Cheers!
Agreed with this. I think it makes sense to get away from the numbers in the title too. Diminishing returns are 100% a thing when your on Number 7 in 14 years. Phil Spencer talked about how he felt they had burnt out the Halo brand a bit with so many Halo releases and I think the same applies for Forza Motorsport. So yeah a longer dev cycle, drop the number, call it just Forza Motorsport and service it like Asseto, GTS etc.
Damn, I hope to see this car. GT Racing Reborn is bloated, yes, but it's the good type of bloat. And GM's only representation in this division is the Greenwood Corvette, which is from an older era of IMSA.
Speaking of which, the Car Pass wasn't stellar but there were such amazing things in it like the Greenwood Corvette, the Brabham-Alfa and Fangio's Maserati 250F that I question people who claim it sucked.
Looks like another tube-frame Trans-Am/IMSA GTO car is on the way:
Hopefully this opens the floodgates for more Oldsmobiles (i.e. Toronado, Vista Cruiser, Achieva SCX, Aerotech, Silhouette...) in FM and FH games.
Or the Aurora GTS-1.Would be cool if they paired this with another IMSA GTO from the same brand, the #74 Whitehall Rocketsports toronado GTO.
I didn't even know this existed before this very minute and now it is the one car I want most in FM7.Or the Aurora GTS-1.
Me too. 👍 It also looks a car that featured in TOCA 2, even though it never did. Yes please to more like cars like that one thank you.I didn't even know this existed before this very minute and now it is the one car I want most in FM7.
Yes indeed that would be welcomed too. I believe this was the car that took down the IMSA Cunningham Nissan 300zx in the 94/95 season iirc.Or the Aurora GTS-1.
Or the Aurora GTS-1.
So you wouldn't even be impressed if they added more of the DPi and classic prototypes, because that's what we really need now.Honestly? I'm pretty burnt out on all these IMSA racers. I like them, like, a lot, but it's just overkill at this point with so many other divisions being left with nothing new in forever.
I'm talking more of the copy and paste tube frame GT cars.So you wouldn't even be impressed if they added more of the DPi and classic prototypes, because that's what we really need now.
The model for GaaS is iRacing. Expect everyone to follow their lead.
Which makes me realize how much of a genius Dave Kaemmer is.

RM: From C.J. O’Donnell, chief marketing officer of IMS/IndyCar: “We are expanding our presence in gaming. INDYCAR has a larger presence in the latest releases from Project Cars and iRacing. Forza is also adding the new INDYCAR to its platform this season. Unfortunately, we do not have a game developer signed to build an INDYCAR branded / dedicated platform (at least, not yet). Discussions regarding this feature platform are ongoing, and we hope to have some good news in the coming year.”
