So I’m guessing the 09 Jeep SRT is a dlc or reward Car? I didn’t see it in the dealer but I saw it during a SUV race.
I am about to (bought one this week), but I don't know if I'll use the paddles yet.I've gotten so accustomed to shifting with L1/R1 or LB/RB, it's gonna feel so funny shifting with the buttons.
Does anybody play Forza with Elite Controllers?

From what I have read, the paddles can be mapped so that they "copy" certain buttons. You could map the 2 left ones to Clutch/Gear Down and the 2 right ones to Clutch/Gear Up.I was looking at that as an alternative. I wonder if you can set the paddles as the clutch and still use LB/RB to shift..

It's most likely a reward car. Pretty sure you can use it as a rental in Free Play.So I’m guessing the 09 Jeep SRT is a dlc or reward Car? I didn’t see it in the dealer but I saw it during a SUV race.
I'd rather hope it didn't, but that's just me.
You're probably right, but it strikes me as one of the cars that's probably locked behind something, so I was just curious if anyone who had it could reveal what transpired for them.
You can buy it from the showroom plus I think it's a milestone reward as well.Edit: I had a look I have the GT2 RS '18 but no idea where I got it. I've had it for a while now so am pretty sure I got it before I moved into the elite series.
I was thinking i probably got it on a level up at some point. Seems that all of the career cars have been FE cars. You can buy it from the showroom plus I think it's a milestone reward as well.
You can buy it, there's an Achievement for owning it afterall. You can buy it from the showroom plus I think it's a milestone reward as well.
Is it just me, or do AWD vehicles seem much more competitive this time around? I don't feel like they were as underpowered as they where in previous titles. Took the new Subaru STi out for one of the compact cups and I was actually extremely pleased with it.
It feels like the main thing they did with them was dial out the understeer that plagued all the AWD vehicles in earlier games, because they turn in a lot easier than previously. That could be something as simple as changing the stock differential settings though, since many of them felt like they had a 50/50 torque split as a default. Which is great for straight line acceleration, but certainly not so much for fast cornering. Is it just me, or do AWD vehicles seem much more competitive this time around? Yeah, From FM5 onward RWD was the way to go, but this time I'm getting good competitive times with these AWD cars compared to the past. Next I want to try out FWD vehicles, but if the first race in the Hot Hatch cup with a Civic Type-R is anything to go by, I think those feel a lot better as well.I've only driven a few so far but yes they seem pretty good. Forza has kinda been all over the place with these in the past. In FM3 if you weren't using AWD swaps then you had little to no chance, in 4 things changed a lot in favor of 2wd , maybe now they have found a better balance
I also notice that they turn in a lot better as well. I think it's something outside of that as well though, as they have much better straight line speed as well.It feels like the main thing they did with them was dial out the understeer that plagued all the AWD vehicles in earlier games, because they turn in a lot easier than previously. It's not the view used, it's the reaction time to things. The closer views give you an instant notice, making each and every directional input a lot more noticeable compared to the far back chase view. I can't do chase view at all because it makes me feel like I'm not turning when I should be because of how the reaction to your inputs look. I have to strictly race cockpit. To add to that, if I race with the view that removes the steering wheel it makes the inputs feel more exact compared to regular cockpit view, so it just seems that the closer to the actual road you get, the more responsive things seem. I myself have stuck to cockpit view religiously.Does anyone else feel that some cars handle differently depending on the view used???
The cover car Porsche is a great example.
I've run about 20 laps of maple valley in test drive mode
Chase cam it wants to oversteer on entry then push wide on exit unless you force it to drift then it does that beautifully.
Cockpit, bonnet or bumper cam. It looses all the entry oversteer followed by understeer. And less willing to drift at all

I have, and that's not it. Physics are not changing because the view changed.I disagree.
You can do exactly the same inputs and the car behaves differently depending on view.
With that in mind try it.
I stick to chase as i feel faster using that view
Yes, it’s absolutely great. I’ve always been a chase cam guy, until now.I love the new cockpit view without the steering wheel, feels really direct but not over sensitive, one of the best playing racing games on a pad.
I like it as well ... but ... no mirrors creates an issue. I would love to see them as part of the optional hud settings allow us to have rear and side view mirrors as optional displays, ideally ones that we could position on screen to suit our selves. The rear view on hood view works fine but no side views there, the cockpit view in many cars shows only 1/2 the rear view and 1/2 the one side view and not the other one. very view cars give a mirror for both sides and those are usually tiny. Even in career it would be so much better if only you could see that AI before it hits you or you move over into it. The arrows are better than nothing but it is hard to tell where the AI is with those.I love the new cockpit view without the steering wheel, feels really direct but not over sensitive, one of the best playing racing games on a pad.
I don’t know, for me it’s way easier just to flick RS left or right and get a full view of what’s there. That’s a lot better of a view/detail then trying to use any mirror they would have.I like it as well ... but ... no mirrors creates an issue. this is the one advantage of chase view in that you can see what is behind you and to either side at the disadvantage of not being able to see the road ahead as well
Well good for you, but my clutch and handbrake are the right joystickI don’t know, for me it’s way easier just to flick RS left or right and get a full view of what’s there. That’s a lot better of a view/detail then trying to use any mirror they would have.
Oh, well that’s a bummer then.Well good for you, but my clutch and handbrake are the right joystick![]()
