Hey, this trophy truck category is pretty damn fun! I thought I was going to hate it, from what a lot of people have been saying. I think it’s something different, and I really like it. There nothing like going around a turn almost sideways, and still passing cars(or trucks I guess is what I mean).

It was different for sure, side ways was pretty much the only way at first ;) I found that changing that negative rear toe to positive made the F150 quite a lot tamer though still sideways a lot you could sorta kinda get it to go straight under full throttle.

I won it on unbeatable in one of the RWD trucks, but if it rains the 4WD rally raid cars will leave you in their wake.

Been a little quieter here this week hasn't it, might be something to do with the GT Sport demo :sly:

Haven't played FM7 since last Saturday because of work and the GTS demo, but will play tomorrow.

It's always quiet over here :P
I think we’re just getting on with the game now. The last few weeks we kind of hit critical mass as we were discovering the games final features, dealing with launch issues etc.

You think a Gran Turismo game is popular on a Gran Turismo website??

I swear, the amount of people that think GT being popular on GtPlanet matters...

People who like Forza, are playing Forza, instead of making picture threads staring at headlights trying to argue which screw is misplaced.

However, since GT website is a GT website, you coukd make a poll, asking if GT players like GT, (they usually do)
.

I brought up the issue I mentioned earlier where the AI had more power than the division allowed and ran away with the race.
I received a response that they were listing that as a bug. So sounds like they are going to look into it at some point.

From what I have saw it doesn't happen all the time but when it does happen the AI has a huge advantage and on a track like a high speed oval they literally are unbeatable. I think the time I posted today was a very low 41.xxx which at the time was good for the top spot. The AI car turned a low 38!

It was nice to see a response where they acknowledge my reported problem. At least I know they actually are reading at least some of the posts there.

I think I overlooked this, but what's the difference between manual and manual w/ clutch?

Manual uses an auto clutch so the game simulates the clutching part
Manual/With clutch means you have to assign a button or pedal to the clutch and use the clutch when you shift

If you do it well manual with clutch is faster. If not then it is slower

Ah, thank you for that. Guess I need to learn how to use manny w/ clutch then.

Though in cars with a race transmission and race clutch, manual with clutch provides a very minimal advantage. Manual with clutch provides the best performance in the lower classes for the most part.

makes sense.
I think I have noticed that it didn't make much difference on the P1 cars but very noticeable on the low end cars. I did a test once on the ring with an E class car and was 8 seconds faster using the clutch vs not using it but I have on occasion saw a top time posted using Auto trans in a P1. I always wondered if that same person would have been even faster with a manual.

Highly possible, as it is usually more beneficial to shift where where the torque drop off starts; which auto wont always do. Though I guess if the transmission is tuned correctly, that could also happen with an auto transmission as well.

Better to use in street cars, than race cars?
I use it everywhere in everything. But yes the street cars will likely show the biggest gain.

Of course if you want to have fun and have an H pattern shifter then those old muscle cars can be quite a blast using the clutch pedal and the stick though very hard to be as fast using that method, possible though if you are quick enough with the clutch and shifter

Oh I don't have a wheel right now. I'll be banging the gears on a controller.

I used it on the controller for a while before I started using a wheel full time.

I swapped the handbrake and the clutch to put the clutch on the A button then swapped the gears so x was upshift and b was downshift That made it easy to effortlessly hit the clutch as I upshifted just by having my thumb at a slight angle to cross the A button as I pressed the X and for downshift I just pressed between the a and b so as to hit both buttons at the same time.

Took a couple of races to fully adjust to but before long it felt totally natural

I like that Turn 10 patched the Forza Edition cars to now include a 2nd --% credit bonus to replace xp for certain tracks among other things. It motivated me to jump in my Nissan GT-R Forza Edition again and do a 7 lap race around Suzuka Circuit once more. I can't wait until Turn 10 patches in the VIP credit bonus to see the maximum money amount I can earn in a race.

Also yup, I have no complaints about earning cars. Not with that level up and collection awards system in place; I now can basically get GTE and IMSA cars for free at this point. I bought a Sauber C9 Mercedes for 450,000 cr today aswell.

Has someone been able to put together a full list that details how to specifically unlock each car? I'm currently trying to work my way through career in hopes of getting the GT3 RS right now.

I get the impression that some of them are random

I have a feeling the GT3 RS' (991 and 997) will show up either as Forzathon prizes or part of the Specialty Dealer thingie.

I did a Free Play race with the FF Chevy Fleetline which is class B and the game gave me S class opponents.

The Civic Touring Car event threw me somewhat until I realised there were two classes racing. Maybe the description mentioned it and I didn’t notice it.

I'd rather hope it didn't, but that's just me.

You're probably right, but it strikes me as one of the cars that's probably locked behind something, so I was just curious if anyone who had it could reveal what transpired for them.

I've gotten so accustomed to shifting with L1/R1 or LB/RB, it's gonna feel so funny shifting with the buttons.

Does anybody play Forza with Elite Controllers?
