Today we released the most recent update for Forza Motorsport 7. This update addresses numerous issues on both the Xbox One and PC versions of the game, including:

• Fixed an issue where tracks would disappear after a player uses repeated rewinds in a race.
• Fixed an issue where some players’ Forza Rewards gifts were not saving properly after they were initially revealed in game.
• We’ve addressed a game exploit whereby players could use Forza Edition cars to gain unrealistic leveling and rewards. In the interest of maintaining game balance, we have instituted rewards changes for all Forza Edition cars, replacing flat XP secondary rewards with a percentage-based credit (CR) reward. With this update, all Forza Edition cars will offer a primary percentage CR reward and a secondary conditional percentage CR reward. All VIP Forza Edition cars will now offer a primary +50% CR reward and a secondary conditional +50% CR reward. For example, the 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R Forza Edition previously offered a primary CR reward of +25% and a secondary flat +5,000 XP award after 3 good drifts in a race. With this update, the Silvia now offers a primary reward of +25% CR and a secondary reward of +25% CR after 3 good drifts in a race. As a further example, the 2014 BMW M4 Coupe Forza Edition (a VIP FE car) previously offered a primary +40% CR reward and a secondary flat +10,000 XP reward at the Nürburgring. With the update, the BMW now offers a primary +50% CR reward and a secondary +50% CR reward at the Nürburgring.
• Addressed an issue where the game would crash during Driver Level Rewards screen, causing extra level-up rewards to be available.
• PC and Multiplayer stability fixes.

Sounds like for those of us that like to drive longer races those FE cars will be better than before :)

Ok so I have every car but I have 4 missing badges. I’m assuming one is for Hoonigan but are the other three maybe for new manufacturers coming in dlc?

Well yes and no, you get paid if you run a race. You do not get paid for test drive but once you have loaded the track you can test drive, tune, upgrade race, switch cars all without ever having to pick a track and wait for it to load.

It used to be you get a car, go to tune and test drive or just test drive. You then had to pick a track and wait for it to load. You drive it, maybe pause and tweak a little then you realize you need to add a upgraded trans to get the gear you need so you exit test drive, go to upgrades, install the trans then back to test drive select the track, wait for the track to load. Then you start driving and opps forgot to get brakes while you were there so exit .... wait for track to load. Now you only need to load the track and you can drive, tune, upgrade, drive tune, upgrade and if you want race.

It is way better than before if for no reason other than the time you can save when building a car. If only it didn't crash when you look at to many wheels.

Oh they also added the test drive, tune and upgrade options in the career lobbies so you can do the same thing there.

Did I mention that they finally added rewind to the test drive mode. This is a biggie to me, something I have been wanting since the first day they added rewind. Should be a real time saver tuning for the longer tracks.
Most of this I was aware of, but it didn't dawn on me until after you made this point & I played tonight that I saw the Test Drive option.

Usually I set everything up right at Free Play and then go to the track, usually starting my race. I noticed tonight I never made note of the Test Drive tab because it's greyed out. Once I was at the track and switched to Setup that I saw it available. So, thank you. :) I still agree this is a much better setup as well with everything available literally right at the track.

Also, that Rivals event with Josef Newgarden... he's now 82nd in the world with a 1'44.6xx so good luck getting whatever prize they'll be giving away.

So they took away the extra xp, and just doubled your CR amount?

I don't see that as bad in any amount. I see that as even better.
It’s fairier.

With the old method you got about 250 CR based on race distance + 7500 XP for using a particular car. That meant you could ignore race length and stack up the car bonus to high levels.

If they have 700 cars they either did one of the glitches/ ram method or they beat the game in a week.

I have the Achievement, but there is an easier way to do it. Rather than owning 700 unique cars the game tracks your total car count. I ended up buying a few hundred AMC Pacers (20,000 CR) once I had enough CR saved up and promptly sold all of them the second I got that Achievement

That being said, I took a week off work to play this game and have around 150 hours done already.

I believe the prize for beating him is a Holden Torana Forza Edition, though there is also a participation prize.

I think he goes down as the toughest Bounty target in Forza history. Juan Pablo Montoya was rapid but not Top 100 rapid.

That’s fine by me however, Josef used to Leaderboard hunt back in the day so he’s one of us really :sly:

Dang man. Put in over 25 laps and the closest I got to his ghost was a 1:45.878. He's unhuman...
Still though, this was MUCH easier than the infamous Rolls Royce challenge in FM6.

How big is the download please?

Had this bug happen to me about a week ago, only got reminded of it when I saw FailRace's video the other day when someone had a similar issue with F1 2017

Or they're achievement hunting and bought a pile of 1990 Miatas.
As mentioned above, that's exactly what i did once I learned that the Achievement could be unlocked with duplicate cars.

I think I spent 2 hours selling them all back to the game afterwards

Now that the credit exploits have been patched, I think it's safe to say that only people who got extremely greedy were banned. I haven't heard of anyone getting punished besides those who went for the credit cap.

I got 40 million credits from these methods, which I'm still saving, and I bought all of the available Tier 1 cars in the process. Didn't get banned.

I did this before the VIP announcement, but I guess this makes having double credits kind of redundant now in my case. Then again, I'm not sure if 40 million is going to last very long once it's time to buy the Tier 5 cars though, let alone all cars.

I'm betting on a Forzathon sale around Thanksgiving, just like they did last year with FH3. It was 30% off all cars. They generally announce sales a month or so before they begin, so you can plan for it. I have no guarantee this will happen, but they did it last year, so why not this year?

I'm having to turn up the sound a lot to hear and feel any perceivable bass and loudness from the cars. Are you guys getting this? I feel cars were a lot louder, and better exhibited their unique characteristics through sound in the last two FM games. Any idea if this is getting patched?

Great game but have to keep the sound low otherwise my ears almost bleed.

Yes, Forzathon will defenitely help, whenever it starts. Hopefully soon. For now, I'm only using my money to buy cars I need to do events.

So my VIP has finally been revoked after not originally owning it, as well as the fast and furious cars :/ No big deal for me, but now I have 15 cars in my garage that I can't use....any way to fix this? Or should I take it to the forums?

@Northstar you noticed this yet?

Mine seems active still, so I kindly ask that you do not bring it to their attention. :P
