More of a Peter Gabriel listener myself. Maybe he got the idea from Sr. Veloso.

Can't wait for someone to confuse Forza 5 (2013) and "Forza 5" (2021). Muh search engine!
Ha, I knew there was a less-obscure example I was forgetting somehow -- and starting with a cover featuring a car on it, no less. (I looked it up: it's a Lancia 2000 that sleeve designer Storm Thorgerson owned, which means it's another car I don't expect to see in Forza anytime soon. Boo!)

I hope they don't call the next one "Forza Motorsport" as well otherwise we'll never hear the end of it. How about Forza Motorsport 360? 💡 :dopey:

sniff :( bloomin' Stellantis...

I would've done Roxy Music but those LPs actually had different titles, just not on the cover.

If I just pre-ordered the game on Xbox a couple of weeks ago, do I own any version of the game or just the Xbox one? Because I'm having a PC built. If I have to buy it again on Steam that's fine but I didn't think it would hurt to ask.

I'm fairly sure that if you ordered on Xbox then it's an MS Store purchase, hence PC as well. If you ordered on Amazon or through another outlet, then I'm not sure.

If it's a digital copy from the Microsoft Store then it should work for both platforms.

I ordered on the PC Microsoft Store and already predownloaded the game onto both my Xbox and PC (admittedly only a tiny stub file so far, but the point is that it was found to be owned by me on both places).

I might attempt to build a gaming PC in the near future (it's a mid-life crisis thing, I guess), so knowing that my Xbox Store purchases are safe to make the transition makes me happy. Also, Game Pass Ultimate works indistinctly in consoles/PC.

Since the last monthly was on the 13th of June, when do y'all think the July monthly will be?

Ten minutes isn't very long at all in the sim world. The shortest races I do are 20 minutes (at least on the rF2, AMS2, ACC stuff). You need to leave enough time for something to happen. At least make a pass or two and use some pit strategy. I could qualify at let's say, 6th, and in ten minutes you might finish 5th, 6th or 7th, or worse if you crash. The AI are pretty good in some of those sim titles.
I usually do 30-40 mins with fuel and tires at 3x so a pitstop is warranted. The fun is finding that rhythm after a dozen laps and syncing with the flow of the track. At the end of the race you don't get credits or XP or a free car, you get to finally go to the bathroom. lol

I hope this new Forza can give some good experiences in somewhat of a real race setting and isn't just the 2-3 lap drive around the bricks AI experience. That got really old, really fast in GT7. Plus the Custom Race payouts in GT7 are so unfair, it makes it not worth it. If FM can make custom races with fair payouts and utilize pit strategies (fuel and tire wear), they have a chance of pulling some more serious sim racers into it. To not just do longer races but to have fun with the shorter ones too.

I agree with you. Except right now with AMS2 for the most part just experimental having casual fun for me. Trying different track and car combos. Do not have a lot of time each week so ten, 15 munuet,, maybe 20 minuet race at most. I do agree to get the best experience 30 minuet or more races would be best with AI at level to give you a good challenge.

GT7 is the last gran turismo ever for me. The payouts verses the number and amount of 10 million / 20 million cars is the #1 issue that is making me throw in the towel. I will no longer spend countless for me wasted hours grinding for credits. The overall lack of game structure, events and just same old GT world has finally killed the series for me. Without changing very little game code, without better A.I. there are so many more ways GT7 could be improved. I would of easily paid said $50 more for instance access or even say 70 percent off each car. What would be so wrong with being able to rent or test drive any car. Meaning you could use them, but have very limited tuning options and no ability to change liveries. They would not even stay in your garage.

Anyways I do believe GT and Forza Motorsports has a purpose. There are plenty of days where do not have the time or do not feel like setting down at the wheel for longer sessions.

What I want in a future car game is ability to create nearly endless race events with wide range of settings. Then these single or champion ship events could be shared with others or you could download from others. When I mean wide selection. I mean you could take any GT7 licenses, mission, single lap, record lap event and customize in a number of ways.

In summary if the next Forza Motor sport gets good reviews after release would most likely purchase it.

I did see GT7 on a $2,000 plus tv over the weekend and looked jaw dropping amazing. If the cars to prize ratio was not so upside down. I would play just for tunning/photo mode.

How much or what exactly downloads to the xbox at this stage? When I paid for the game it says to install to device but as its not released yet I assumed it was just a standard message.

It's a Saab 96 days to go!

The gt90 was seen as late as 2022 at an event of some sort, so it does still exist. Pretty please T10!! I've also already voted for it on the forums.
Currently lives in Ames, Oklahoma at Brent Hajek's museum. I believe he's got it completely restored & running.

Assuming you mean Forza Motorsport specifically, all that downloads right now is a ~10 MB placeholder file. When preloads are actually available, it will automatically update to download the full game, assuming you have automatic updates turned on.

You called?
I must've missed something?

Anytime I see something about either the GT90 or the Indigo I automatically thing of the other, they're inseparable in my head. And a bit of a shame to think about, really, what could have been. They were both awesome concepts. i think the runner is (or was a few years ago) in the Roush collection, still owned by Ford? Could be wrong.
