The MG (6?) Touring Car added in FH5 is missing
The list isn't comprehensive. I know of at least 3 touring cars that aren't on that list which will be in the game. 1 of which has been seen in leaked screenshots.

Hoping for a nice star filled and big moon night sky
i mean if you want realistic you wont see that much of stars, in fact it seems that LED lights, for some reason, are making more and more impossible to see starts shining in the skies, its talked that in 20 years the skies will be just the moon with no other stars at ALL

You can list all the TCR and BTCC cars that will be in the game?

Hoping we get the R32,33,and 34,i know there from F7 but thats just a personal hope.

The r32 has to be remodelled before they add it, that thing looks downright terrible in FM7

There hasn’t been many 90s JDM cars announced so maybe they will be remodelled and added post launch

I can add a surefire 3 that are known to be in the game that haven't been listed yet. Whether that would complete the entire list of TCR/BTCC cars in the game, I don't know.

Ford Focus ST BTCC was seen in a leaked screenshot, as were the Subaru Levorg BTCC and Peugeot 308 TCR.

I agree,as much as I hate to say it but it looks awful in FH5 as well.Still keeping fingers crossed. 👍

Hopefully a few of the worse looking legacy models get rescanned and added post-launch, I'd honestly rather see them later than to see them look wonky for another entire console generation.

It was on list last time i saw, 2014 Ford #17 AMD Tuning Focus ST BTCC

As long as Homologation has been ditched and we can race them properly
Homologation became spec but it gives you the opportunity to race free as well, depending of series

I wonder if Subaru Levorg BTCC and Peugeot 308 TCR will showup alongside MG and the rest of TCRs

The TCRs that need to come (and people need to vote in forums is)
  • Updated Audi 2021
  • Updated Honda Civic FL5
  • Updated Hyundai (Elantra N)
  • The Alfa Romeos TCR
  • Cupras
  • Vauxhall Astra TCR
  • Toyota Altis GR

The Astra is confirmed as Day 1 DLC if im not mistaken

The VW Golf TCR was available in the XB1 beta test as well.

I hope the MG TCR makes the cut. It's a less common TCR model so that makes it more interesting.

As long as Homologation has been ditched and we can race them properly then that's all I care about.
In single player/private multiplayer can obviously do whatever you want, but the way they showed the featured multiplayer and the way these reveals are going, I'm afraid the "spec" racing will just be "homologation but only 1 build per car." Kind of a shame as some of the cars end up too far away from their original specs and it makes them not great to drive.

I know I already mentioned it in this thread before but the TCR Audi in FM7 was the perfect example. Wonderful car to drive in stock TCR spec, less so when it was upgraded to compete with the TC1/NGTC/SF cars in the "Forza Touring Cars" division.

Makes me wonder about Forza GT as well. If they try to shoehorn GT4, Super Trofeo (of the Maserati and Lamborghini varieties), Ferrari Challenge, VLN SP3T, borked Super GT GT500, GT3, GT2 (pre widebody and post widebody), GTE/GTLM (pre aero update and post aero update), GT1, and possibly the Porsche Mission R as well... The class is likely to be a mess again.

The solution is easy. Copy the Horizon option to allow you to choose the cars you want to participate one by one.

I have never understood why in Motorsport it cannot be done.

I don't mind the spec racing as long as it doesn't ruin the cars, like you say. Would be ni e if you could isolate the BTCC cars or TCR cars and race them as is.

turn10 hired raceboy77 to help tune and balance cars for I assume spec racing so they should be good

I'm hoping the original Mini is in a proper racing class this time and not part of that Major Micros nonsense.

my criticism is that holding the licence without any competition can make it lazy I dont really mean Codemasters is lazy. Codemasters has been a big part of why I love racing games alongside NFS, Test Drive, GT and Forza.

Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo's biggest criticism is how they love mixing classes no thought whatsoever what mess it becomes.

In the old days it was tolerable but now its ridiculous how hard is it to make these cars in their own respectable class.

Not to mention, a lot of cars even as far as road cars back as Motorsport 7 had mismatched divisions. I find it bizarre how the Ferrari California T is classified as a sport coupe, while it could've ended up in Sport Luxury or Sport GT, and that the Nissan Juke NISMO RS is even worse, in the Modern SUV category, as opposed to Modern Hot Hatch.

That would massively reduce the number of cars per division, and would end with with significantly more divisions with just 1 or 2 cars. That would result in a lot of them going unused.
There should be a good reason for every car in the game, even if they feature in a small racing group. But there's always one make races or ones based on their class for road cars. Other games manage to do it, so it's just on a bigger scale. Just needed planning and goes back to my first point.

NGTC spec predates TCR by about 4 years.
Yeah, but they created a renewed NGTC spec in 2021 to add hybrid power elements instead of choosing to switch to TCR. I guess their teams must have been ok with this, but it does make it hard for them to keep enough manufacturers interested for a spec which doesn't seem to be used anywhere else?

Perhaps. I think if the cost got too much then the switch would happen pretty quickly. Currently doesn't seem to struggle with manufacturers, BMW, Hyundai, Toyota and Ford as constructors, Honda, Cupra, Vauxhall elsewhere. The grid has declined the past few years but it's still strong.

Main thing would be how would the switch happen, would the current TCR UK series be folded and BTCC take over or vice versa.

There is a UK TCR championship.

What is more weird is that since 2 years ago TCR UK is like second division to BTCC
There was a live race at Silverstone today for TCR UK and I couldn't see anyone in the stands. That might of been down to Silverstone (they don't like opening stands for anything outside of big events) so I may have just not seen where people where. Either way TCR needs a few big name drivers and a good support package.
