I'm glad they admitted that their previous model/scan of Nurburgring and Nordschleife was mediocre and needs time to fix.

On the other hand, tracks like Barcelona, Mugello, COTA, Watkins Glen are all very accurate so that should have been easier to update, depending on how much detail was in their scan mesh.

I think Yas Marina, Monza, COTA, Watkins Glen or Sebring will be in.

Nurb news is disappointing but can't say it's too unexpected, felt more and more likely with each bit of media that didn't feature it. If it's for a total track revamp then it's understandable, and my point of view is: at least it's free, and from Spring 2024 onwards none if this will matter and we'll be happily driving on it anyway.

I do question their priorities though - Road America in at launch but not the Nurb

God I hope yas isn’t there, that track is actual dog**** even after they made changes it still sucks.

Come on Bathurst!

Yes, it sounds like they will have the latest and greatest scanned 'Ring to date. That makes me moist.

@Butzke yes, it's coming next year. "Nordschleife arriving in 2024"
This is how I view it. Yes it's a little disappointing, but if it means we get a fantastic and accurate rendition, far above what Forza has had before, then I think it's worth the wait.

Also, kudos to T10 just straight up saying it won't be there, it'll be spring 2024.

My last three hopes are on Mount Panorama, New York Circuit and Daytona International Speedway.

Hardly dead on arrival, a measure being taken to ensure fairness and parity in cross platform play is hardly killing anything.
Anyone with a PC can race online for free, but if their computer sucks, this could be an issue. If you're playing on a gaming laptop, it's best to keep it plugged in so you don't lose framerate and kill the battery fast.

Happy to see system requirements, since I will play this game on PC. And more happy that mine PC has a spec slightly above the recommended.

It’s going to be mighty a unpopular choice by turn10, I don’t think a high frame in racing games gives a distinct competitive advantage but it’s certainly a lot more pleasant to drive. Really dumb decision imo

Fps I don't mind, annoying but I can live with it, as long as they are going to allow ultrawide, if they lock to 16:9 I will be really annoyed

"In addition to native support for popular racing wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec, Forza Motorsport supports the DirectInput API on PC. This allows players to plug in and play with a much wider range of hardware than before. There is also input remapping so you can customize the button layout of your controller, mouse and keyboard, as well as your favorite steering wheels and non-standard gamepads like flight sticks. This level of device extensibility means Forza Motorsport is accessible to more players who use custom hardware setups."

And just as I post this, I read this "Forza Motorsport on PC supports native resolutions up to 4K and beyond, rendering ultrawide and non-standard resolutions for on-track gameplay." Yay

In my opinion a higher framerate ( 120 +) makes things easier to see. I am talking about less Blur on those braking distance boards before corners. That can help being more consistent lap after lap. It also should lead to a lower inputlatency.

I do agree that on racing games it is less of an issue compared to shooters.

lol i think the steam reviews will get nasty very quick. In 2023 you just don't lock fps on PC for any reason.

There aren't many competitive cross-platform games around. And besides, the vast majority of the FM2023 user base will be on Xbox. They cater for Xbox (controller) users first, PC users second. Like it or lump it.
