The answer is in the post you quoted - they said the Xbox One versions were all 60fps. But they only were during gameplay, not at the other times. And me criticising Forza for 30fps doesn't mean I give GT a pass for it either.
I didn't say you were giving them a pass, just that both of these major developers (I'm not sure what Codemasters does for replays) didn't consider 60fps replays to be a priority over better looking 30fps ones and I'm very sceptical that a majority of gamers would refer then at the expense of visual quality.

Is this official? RTAO is a very nice addition if true.
If you mean my screenshot, it's from Destin's video posted earlier so I've no idea whether it's official or based on his independent observation of the frame rates.

I believe Codemasters did have at least one F1 game (2015?) where gameplay was 60fps and replays 30, even on PC I think, although IIRC you could override that with a vsync setting. Long time ago now though. Not sure what they've done since. I just think replays at 60fps look fantastic.

I just want to say i was a little irritated by this argument. I assumed whe were talking about 30/60fps while racing. As i realised it was about the other stuff like replays i was affirmed that racing was always 60fps. Because as probably many think: frame-rate in non racing? who cares!

The XP and driving safety rating system I don't see as teaching trash drivers and trolls to be better as they will always be trash drivers and trolls. But, perhaps it will cause those people to eventually alienate themselves or even be stuck driving with people just like them and leaving those of us that race clean or at least try to do so, to be in a lobby full of like minded drivers.

I feel this system may weed some of those people out and possibly result in a pleasant multiplayer experience at least for FM. I don't have much hope for Horizon's MP improving.

I never played a Forza Game at all, I played always GT's from GT5 until GT7...
I also never owned any XBOX's at all thats why i just bought a SeriesX just for the new FM!!!
I am kind of nervous because i don't wanna get to MUCH HYPED with the FM.
The same happend to me with GT7, my expetations were high but at the end the game didn't fulfill my expectations and that's why I get a SeriesX...
Well, my very first thought going from GT 2-4 to FM 3 was, this is like GT but more enjoyable. And while I don't agree with all their design choices, if GTs aim is to make people love cars, with its amazing selection and car museum presentation, FM has always tried to bring the excitement of racing to the masses.

Aeqnx has a list of (potential) car divisions.
No Major Micros?

Ah, he's from IGN so it's most likely accurate then. RTAO is usually not the most flashy of effects but it can help a fair bit on specific conditions, especially in chase cam. One quick example from GT7 photo mode https://imgsli.com/MjA1NDU4

I think what will weed out even more 'bad driving' online is the ability to do practice/qualifying beforehand with the same car/track combo. I feel like this is such a constant source of issues, especially with so many tracks on hand. Few people have memorized all the tracks well enough in any car, let alone a very specific car. Even the ability to just do 1-3 laps before the race will give people a chance to get a feel for the basic braking points and whatnot.

I've watched the reviews on YouTube by quite a few different people. The graphics look decent to me considering everyone can only run it on console at this stage, I expect it will look much better on PC and without YouTube's video compression. I've seen mixed reactions to the physics, ranging from it being a big improvement, to it still basically just feeling like Forza always has. The car level system seems to be almost universally disliked in its current form, with different people suggesting different ways it could be improved. The AI and race regulations appear to be in need of adjustment. There's nothing hugely wrong with that, many games have ongoing tweaks after release, but I can't help but be reminded of the GTS/7 penalty system that has been in need of adjustment for 6 years without ever being made to work properly. The new FM has been in development for 6 years but they're going to get all this stuff working properly in the last month before release? I can't help but feel there's a risk it will still be in need of adjustment quite some time into the future.

Reading the last few pages shows a very clear tilt towards people "invalidating" everything certain people have brought up on the basis of a perceived incorrect notion or prior preference for something other than Forza.

I'd like it not to get to the point where we have members attacking other members on this basis (and, lest we forget, one of the people with access to this preview build - and has been insulted, in this thread, for his thoughts on it - is a GTPlanet member).

And that should continue without people being abused for voicing it.

In general, the official video didn't fill me with a lot of positive impressions. The AI was quite poor (I'm sure it's dumbed down to Vadim Kogay levels for the tute), the whole thing seemed kind of washed out (like HDR converted to SDR), the reflections appeared very inconsistent (also the exhausts still seem to lead to nowhere), and the vehicle physics felt off - most notably the Civic Type R drifting, which is of course possible in general terms but in that specific instance it appeared as though the vehicle had the structural rigidity of a Slinky in order to pull that prolonged, stable slide off. Or a wet road surface, of course, but we didn't see that.

I get that the purpose was to show the tutorial stages but, like the Evo VI video, it gave a lot of ammunition to "haters" and unnecessarily so.
Yeeeaaaa like I'm still gonna buy the new FM but the videos haven't impressed me like GT7s previews tbh. Whoever thought that video of the Yellow Evo was a good idea probably should stay away from marketing

The DF video is somewhat of an advert, but it's also really cool to watch. Very much worth a look.

T10 are definitely doing their best to communicate, with real developer types coming to the camera.

So just verifying something I saw on reddit, if you have 2 duplicate cars, you will have to get both up to level 50 to unlock everything?
They did say that you get manufacturer wide bonuses, so presumably the second car will be a bit easier, but yeah each car is unique when it comes to CarXP.

We all expect them to fix that very soon after launch, since it's going to piss off LOTS of people even more than the CarPG already does.

Ive not seen any sign of replays being possible in the preview vids,I didnt watch all of them so if ive missed it please enlighten me.Maybe this feature is disabled in the preview copies, hopefully its in the full game.
From the videos posted I quite like what i saw,not too sure about the some of the physics of the cars shown but we`ll see on release day.Roll on October.

I'd need to dig through all of the videos I've watched so far to find the source so forgive me for lacking one, but replays were disabled in this build because they were unfinished at the time.

Not even finished with Hoki's video yet but I had to stop and notice.

Car proximity indicators. The ONE thing I wanted from Assetto Corsa that FH4 and FH5 didn't have. As I play in cockpit view 99% of the time and don't really have buttons assigned to looking around, that might be one of the most important things I'll need to enjoy multiplayer. Finally, no more shunting a teammate because I misjudged how close we were by a foot.

It was in FM7 too :)

About replays in general, i much prefer having 60fps, what's the use of a little more bells and whistles if it all looks and runs like a blurry mess..

Which is the problem with pc2 in replays, on ps consoles at least for example, and it looks nice apart from that, but it's a mess to look at while playing at regular speed, not cool.

Forgetting that GT7 single player and sound design is woeful
While I'm no stranger to certain people coming out of the woodwork to criticize a game they've never played (I've been here way too long ) there's absolutely no need to stretch the truth like this. GT7's single player is practically non-existent unless you want to farm the same events over and over again, ad infinitum.

The audio design, however, is not what it used to be. There are still some improvements that need to be made, but on a whole GT7 (and Sport) are closer to the likes of games that once lauded superior audio design than it ever was. Hell, in some cases, it's more accurate than FH5.

BTW, looks like you can turn the car progression UI off, great news, from this video:

Thank freekin God for this. I was worried. I like to turn all that nonsense off too. Not a fan of pinball machine noises while racing too.
In his videos you can see several drops when the camera moved round a corner
GT7, it's competition, is an absolute slide show with more than 2-3 cars on screen in multiple corners on multiple tracks. It's jarring at times. I think it's safe to say that these games are pushing the consoles abilities overboard at times. I've had same stuttering in corners on my PC in sims at night with rain while still getting 90fps, sometimes these things just happen.

I never did either until I just recently tried a demo of FM7 and I'm looking forward to trying what they have to offer now. GT7 was a let down. Basically cemented my thoughts of knowing I'll never need or get another console for the rest of my days. I still can't believe the amount of people who say they're going to get this or that in GT8. Just bringing u pGT8 is hilarious. I guess the cattle will continue to eat the grain. GT7 Just came out (as far as I'm concerned for a live service game). lol

What Microsoft does really well with their 1st party games is cross-platform saved games. I really love that I can take my Forza save and move effortlessly between the Xbox and PC, depending on which one is handy.
