This is better than the “10 identical car models with liveries” approach as you now only need to make 1 tune, and all the liveries for a car are located in the same place.
They were able to do this to the Brawner Hawk in FM7 and some Hot Wheels cars, where its anniversary and regular liveries were selectable from one car itself.

Unless T10 is experimenting with making liveries become paint jobs or something.

we dont know yet beacuse the cars are not unlocked to buy until tomorrow, if this happens would be new for franchise and surely would be a hell of a polemic point both for NASCAR and Forza, also has the possibility that it can happen beacuse there has a lawsuit among NASCAR vs some racing teams happening as we speak

FM4 had the cars in manufactores schemes like this. but they were customizable

It is likely that these factory liveries were what T10 and the manufacturers/licensers agreed upon, or simply due to time constraints in licensing liveries with teams though, I think they can be customizable.

Just give me the 2 gen3 cars and a bunch of group A cars into my veins and I'll be a happy man.
Yeah this. We went through the last era of ZB and Mustang and neither appeared in the game throughout that era. So if they gave us the two Gen 3 cars just like they've just done with the Nascars and if that's all then that's fine with me. At least the current cars would bein the game. People could make their own liveries and you'd be able to run a Gen 3 series. That said if they rounded the update off with one of the Gibson Group A GT-Rs and a Bathurst 24hr winning Monaro 427C then that would be even better lol

The Cup Series cars definitely feel both too fast and too easy to drive. You can consistently lap around 1-1.5 seconds quicker than the lap record at Homestead, and I wouldn’t call myself a super quick driver.

Was hoping they’d be really fun to muscle around, but they just feel like a GT car, that’s realistic to real life feedback though I guess.

Series S experience...

FM23 October 2023 - start a new series, wait over a minute for the first track to load. Then watch a horrendous glitchy stuttering flyover of the grid. Then wait a minute for the pre race menu to load.

FM23 November 2024 - start a new series, wait over a minute for the first track to load. Then watch a horrendous glitchy stuttering flyover of the grid. Then wait a minute for the pre race menu to load.

Happens EVERY single time I start a series of races.

Really unforgivable at this point.

PS Turn10 joined up thinking... all those Mustangs that were added over the last month, not one of them can be used in the Power Tour.

Interesting, while visually the gap between Series X/PC is becoming more noticeable. In Series S I can launch a series race from car menu to start under a minute. The flyover is just at 30 fps with visible frame pacing, but that's it.

I get the same thing on PC. Steam. Somehow in 2 updates ago, track loading has been pretty bad. Wasn't fixed in the last update. Also, adjusting fuel level sits at updating upon the first race or first use of a new car. It's usually a first time use only delay for everything because once you start using a same car or track again, it doesn't seem to be as long. I understand that the first time loading it's picking drivatar cars and whatnot but geez.

I should mention that I now play using the Cloud, whereas for the first 6 months or so I had the game installed on my series S. So, I've encountered the same problem on completely different machines (I am basically now playing "series S" installation on a Microsoft Series X machine. (It has been proven that the cloud uses series S because the graphics options don't include Ray tracing mode).

The stuttering is believed to be down to the game contacting the server to download liveries. The stuttering seems to go away when you switch off drivatar liveries (but then you end up with e.g. the Fox Body race being 12 red cars vs 12 black cars, which is not brilliant).

Also, a note for @Milouse re KPrime, the PP box on FM23 is showing on my phone browser with numbers that are barely visible against the box's white background. It wasn't like this previously?

The photo mode bug shows the true size of the showroom... Regardless of how insipid the building is, there is space for at least 3 cars there plus the 3 in the workshop. I hope that a full walkaround garage comes in the future.

i once again ask for the garage from the pre launch beta:

Also tbh, if they do have the assets from prior games, I wouldn't mind the homespaces from prior FM games.

FM7's has plenty of space:

FM6 has a nice couple of spaces:

This bug is how it should be. I loved the various home spaces of the previous games. Walking around taking photos and just checking out the car in a variety of locations.

PGR3 and 4 and the Test Drive Unlimited games had multiple garages you could walk around. And that was nearly 20 years ago. And why don't we have at least one garage space we can walk around? Helps with the immersion massively. FM6 had the pit awning which made you feel like you were trackside with your car in the paddock. That was a cool touch. Even FM7's workshop was nice albeit a bit on the dark side.

Fun fact, the Forza Motorsport 4 Autovista homespace is already in the game. Somebody in my group had their game bug out once a few updates ago and it put the car there.

Being someone in the industry who can interact with devs first hand, what might be the reason T10's devs choose not to display more cars? Just a creative decision, or a limitation within' the hardware/game's internals that can't achieve it without running into an issue we're unaware of?

I think it's one of the things they put together at the last moment on a game that was already behind schedule. It works, but it's just not very detailed/distinctive and players probable spend as little time as possible there. Bizarre Creations even included an awesome arcade game in their garages!

Yeah, Bizarre set an absolute standard in this particular little feature, imo. I was blown away by PGR2's giant showroom & then how they just upped it with 3 & 4. TDU did it pretty well, but I can't think of anyone that's come close to how cool BC incorporated a garage space. The English courtyard w/ the rectangle pond was esp. nice.

I know a certain mod is going to agree & be very sad this series is being brought up, now.

In my personal opinion, they don't have much space either...would be very amazing of course to be able to have a bigger forza homespace location, like imagine in Nurburgring...in a garage, while walking around or maybe just much open are altogether.

I'm probably way too bad to explain it properly...

NASCAR at LeMans is so good! 3 47 976

While I wasn't thrilled with the NASCAR update personally, I do remember the commentators at Le Mans really enjoying that car, so if it's good enough for them...(plus it seems to have really gone down well with a large portion of the FM fanbase)
