FP Motorsports

Thanks Phil, Wiggs, Brains and AVVSOM3 for the fun!

The race with the Bel Airs on Hockenheim was fun! I was all over the place in pretty much every race. You'd swear I was intentionally causing mayhem, the way I was driving! :P You can tell I mainly stick to B and C clas cars when racing....it's obvious I need to start driving the faster cars and learn more tracks too.

I was looking forward to do some qualifying, but I can't connect to live. From reading what you guys posted, doesn't look like I'm the only one.

I managed to get some qualifying in last night. Got a 1:16.899 with the Diablo GTR.

The 2010 Viper ACR isn't bad either if anyone is interested. I ran a mid 17 with it. I was the only one on the leaderboard running it until I switched to the Lambo.

I also built an ACR yesterday, but didn't get a chance to drive it... :(

Thanks AVVSOM3, Carlos, and Marmite. We had some good fun today, but I'm tired of that Alps track! :P I've probably run over 100 laps on that track the last couple of days qualifying. I had to give it a rest because I actually started doing worse instead of improving. :irked: I may try again later this evening....btw Carlos is an alien!!! :)

I tried to add you ZR1CHRIS but your friend list is full. :(

Don't worry about it. You will still get your club invite next time I get on the xbox. 👍

I feel slow with a 1.19.0.

19.0 is pretty respectable. Another 1.1 and you will be in the 17s which is pretty darn good in my book.

The Lambo your using.... Is it the one from the club garage?? If not, give that one a try. It's identical to mine.

Ya its the one from the garage. I'm going to try the F50 too.

I tried the F50 from the club garage and well... :yuck: I think it's just the way it's built. It handles good and all but it doesn't have enough power. I thought of building my own but haven't got around to it. With that being said you may want to just build your own instead of using the one in our club garage.

This is not even funny anymore.

 I think I'm going to get nightmares about this track now

Damn Carlos. It doesn't get any closer than that. That must have been one of those "I got it, I got it, I got it" as your coming to the line... Your waiting for it to stop and show you the message saying you beat your rival and then.... nothing. :banghead:

I haven't driven the Vette yet. Just bought the parts I wanted and painted it. Maybe tomorrow I will give it a go.

 You nailed it!

I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of this track, with the exception the last long left hand corner. I can't seem to get my racing lines right on that corner, as well as entry/exit speed. After trying a few different cars, that Lotus seems to suits me best. Just love the handling on that thing.

After a few hours of lowering my laps times, and called it quits. I got up and my ankles and wrists, where kind of sore from trying to improve my times, for so long.

 You nailed it!

Ahahahhahah that difference is epic! :D I thought it was small even before that, something like 0.06s!

I tried to build an ACR and a Ford GT but neither could beat a STOCK Lambo GTR. Just took a bit of tweaking downforce and softening the front end. I think with proper tuning, that car could give so much more!

edit: And I think it was Carlos who said that thing about letting your tires cool down - that is so so so true! At least the Lambo kills it's tires in a single lap! Every time I messed up, I just eased up, switched up to TOP GEAR and coasted the rest of the lap to get the tires under 100 degree celsius. There is such a big difference in grip between hot and optimally heated tires!

Has anyone experimented with tire pressures? I have yet to touch them...

I noticed that too! My left wrist was killing me when I was shifting with the stick, I kept fighting the FF with just my left hand - then I had to switch to the paddles... :P

Also had my CSR wheel go nuts on me, where it turned hard right, and the gas pedal was on full throttle. Only way to stop it was shutting the wheel off. This was the first time this has happened to me, and it just so happens that my Xbox mic was plugged in. If I recall, I think this might have happened to you Forcone.

I had it plugged in the wheel earlier in the day, but I was only playing for about 40 minutes, before I got ready for work. I'm not sure how long I had it plugged in when it went screwy on me, but I want to say it was longer than an hour. After that happened, I unplugged it, and haven't had a problem since.

Welcome to the club! I have had the mic removed from the wheel now since the last "episode", and haven't experienced any problems since. Even though I've played quite long sessions and worked the wheel quite hard. :) Stupid issue, but doesn't seem to plague the wheel that bad with the mic removed. Should just get a proper USB headset... It sucks that I can't hear a thing you say when I'm in a lobby now!

It's happened to me and I think Chris has had the same problem before too....I don't remember if I had a mic plugged in when it happened. I also see I've fallen from 9th to 13th in qualifying over night. :irked: I've got some work to do when I get home tonight.
