Tried to qualify yesterday but after a couple of laps I seen that I was 30 sec behind number one....WTF???....am I that slow or is he that fast???

Got a quick question that might answer that...Since the car selected can be tuned (areo, camber. etc..) if I have that car and tune it using the stock parts, is that still considered stock??

I'm pretty sure you have to drive it bone stock with no tuning adjustments.

Now i'm barely hanging on to 11th place in qualifying. I'm really no good with anything above R3, but I need to put in a long session tomorrow and Friday to improve on my time...if I can get in the 1:39's I'll be happy.

I don't really like Nascar either, I was just trying to switch it up a little. Running stock cars on different tracks really levels the playing field....I think everybody won at least one race and the finishing order was different for just about every race...but I think next time we'll run some tuned cars too...btw, I didn't wreck you on purpose on La Sarthe...even though I think that was the only race I won.

A wheel won't make you any faster....actually, when you factor in the learning curve you will be slower for at least a few weeks, maybe months until you get used to the wheel. I've been using a Fanatec GT2 for a few months and i'm still not a fast as i was with a controller yet. Carlos and Marmite use a controller and I lose my fair share of races against them every other day.

+1 I'm still slower with my Elite after about a month of using it.

Yeah I noticed you started first in every race....not sure what that's about, but I think I started first in all the races I hosted yesterday. A couple of guys in the SLS race would wreck me whenever I passed them cleanly...very frustrating! ....I just quit after about the 3rd time I found myself spinning into the wall while they continued on their merry little way. It was fun racing with you guys but I had to get ready for work by the time those guys crashed our party.

How's everybody doing with the Seat? I haven't messed with mine in a couple of days....I'm wondering if 1:41's are gonna be good enough? I'm pretty sure 1:40's will be about all I can squeeze out of mine.

I've only managed a 1:41.0 with my SEAT. I'm not a very good FWD driver.

And I'm not sure if I will be able to make it to the races this week end, respraying my real car

I'm at work....probably be another 12 hours or so before I fire up the Xbox. I'll be home in about 6 hours from now, but I gotta get some sleep before I play. ***Edit*** I feel a little better now...Fezz was getting 1:40's and SatansR 1:41's at least puts me in the same ballpark with 2 of our fastest drivers. I'm pretty sure I can do some 1:40's. I hope everything works out and you can make the race SatansR.

I've really been enjoying racing against the club members in the Camino Viejo de Montserrat
extreme AWD Japanese race. Very fun. Also been enjoying the drift challenge on Indy.

I can get the Seat in the mid 39s, to the low 40s. Just depends how well I can do the lap.

I do realize that there is a learning curve with it and I would be running all over the place on the track until I would get used to it..But I would think in the long run I would be a better racer with a wheel...Besides it seems that it would be more fun to race with a good wheel even if your in the back of the pack versus a controller.

The fun and immersion factors are definitely higher with a wheel...I just wanted to let you know about the initial frustration and slower lap times you'll encounter when you move from a controller to a wheel.

Absolutely. I couldn't agree any more. I would rather be last place with a wheel than 1st with a controller.

Been using a pad with no assists since FM1 launched. Makes it fairly easy for me. I have done some races with the MS wheel but I just don't have the space for a permanent rig.

No worries katpeeler, I will be right there with ya! In fact I was hoping someone from the club would finally be kind enough to give me a challenge, it gets pretty boring in last when you are all by yourself. Only excitement I get is when the top 3 lap me...........I wave but they still ignore me

I with ya there...right now Forza isnt my most played game but hoping the wheel will change this...and if they can get the servers fixed....and the assholes you find online....going to probably spam some of you guys for freinds request just to find some clean races....If I get run over my a Hummer one more time!!!!!!!!

I still haven't touched mine in a few days, but I have a feeling the front runners will be in the 1:39's... I was able to get 1:41's without putting very much time into my car, so I expect better drivers and tuners to get more out of the car than I have to this point.

I play other games too, though I've neglected quite a few of them these last 3 or 4 months. My wheel and pedals are on a Rennsport wheelstand, so it takes up very little room. I would like a proper cockpit, but I really don't have the space for one.

Same here. I have a wheel and pedals but it's too much of a hassle to pull it out every time I play Forza. And it's not like I can keep it around close, because I have a family with young children who are able to destroy anything in sight
