FPM: Championship Season 3 planning

I wish I had room for a proper rig in my house. đź‘Ť If the whole club downloaded all my tunes and rated them 5 stars that would give me a boost, but I wouldn't want #1 like that. Looks like I've been getting some hate ratings the past few hours....I'm barely in 2nd place right now. :irked:

We need to start soon! I played Forza yesterday and was a total noob :confused: I guess all this time playing F1 2011 didn't do any good to my Forza skills :odd:
 
Hey guys. I just thought of a wild idea for season 3. Tell me what you guys think.

How about we pick either 1 certain class (or 2 if we want to run multi class still) and we figure out a list of leaderboard cars to eliminate from being chosen, then everyone picks whatever car they want from the class that was chosen (the car could have been from a lower class and upgraded to the class running? ) Then you must remain in that same car for the entire season.

You'd be allowed to re-tune your car from race to race and even swap parts as long as you dont go over the PI restriction.

We can also do some testing if we still feel some cars that were chosen may have an advantage and have PI limits for those cars. I know we may still have some cars with a slight advantage but I think as long as we really switch up the tracks then a car that may have an advantage on one type of track will not on another...

What do you guys think?
 
I am totally down for that Chris. We still need to figure what time we are doing these races. Like I said earlier I now work until 1:30 pm Central/2:30 est live about 30 minutes from work and am always greasy as hell, so consider another 30 minutes to shower. It really looks as though I will not be in good position to race on Saturdays around that time. I do not want to hinder other members freetime either.
 
That's cool Jimbo. I'm free pretty much any time Saturday or even Sunday mornings. (I would commit to any time Sunday if it wasn't for Football season about to start. ;) )

I was hoping for a bit more feedback by now on my idea... Where is everybody??
 
I'm willing to try your idea Chris, provided we have a good selection of cars to choose from. Not necessarily leaderboard cars, but some cars that can put up some good times. As far as the times, either Saturday or Sunday is ok for me since I work both of those days every now and then anyway. Sunday would have to be earlier for me though, like no later than 9:30am or after maybe 1:30pm since we usually go to church on the Sundays I'm not working.
 
My suggestion is basically you can pick any car you want. Lets say we run B class (just an example). You can pick any car that is B or below and upgrade it to full b-class potential. (minus leaderboard cars)

This way everyone gets to run a car they really like.
 
Guys, I'm not sure if I'll be able to participate this time round! I spend every waking hour googling stuff about houses and organizing mortgage etc house related stuff. The amount of information is crazy!! Also living and building in Finland is not that straight forward as you have to take so so so many things in to account. The temperature differences are so vast (in summer it can be close to +40c at it's worst, in winter it can get to -30c, so we're talking like 70deg c temperature differences the houses have to be able to take), there are so many types of land you can build on, and most of them are not great, what kind of base structure is good etc. etc. God this will probably drive me nuts! :lol: I'll tell you if and when I find the right one! ;)
 
after season 3, how about we run a BTCC series or DTM series but stay in the same car throughout the season. We could have teams of 2 as well, although we must keep fezz and forcone apart :D

I'm not going to build a completely new house yet, I'm currently looking at a "big enough" L-shaped brick house which needs quite a lot of repairing done. We'll just have to see what the bank has to say about that.. ;) Would be our first own house.

Looks like we've lost quite a few regulars from season 1 up to this point. I hope we have enough to make season 3 work. :nervous:
 
Maybe we should try PMing some of the other guys.

Anyway... So do you guys want to run multi-class or single class? What specific classes?
