Uh oh.. Little bit too quiet in here!

I am worried the club will still race at 1pmest and I will not be able to make the races.....:nervous:.

I will get in touch with the other leaders and touch base with the plan for Season 3. I will also get some ideas grouped together based on feedback from the members and see where we want to be for season 3.

I see Wiggs at #4 on the LB, you da man!

If we need to change the time to accommodate everybody, I don't have a problem with that. Jimbo, I'm only that high because of my Pinto Rivals tune. Almost 1000 downloads in 4 days! I'll start dropping soon since the unicorn event is over. :(

1000!? That's sick dude!

So...........what are we doing??....Been away for a few weeks...and ready to get back into it.....
Not quite. Still in the middle of the break. I am just assuming/predicting we will get season 3 started in the beginning to middle of August, that's when I would want to start. Still have to sit down at the roundtable with the 'Suits' and break down the details.

I fear we're gonna lose some regulars next season. :( I know a few dropped out as last season progressed and some of our regulars haven't played Forza in weeks. Hopefully everyone is just on summer vacations. I know some have moved on to other games...that's to be expected, but it won't be the same without a solid bunch of regulars. Hopefully we can get the regulars to come back and convince some guys that left to participate in the next season. Come on DC, silentdrifter, Patrick, Marmite, AVVSOM3, Looney, and a few more of you guys are needed to make the next season a success.

I am still a member of the club but its easier for me to race in the weekly Forza Racing Series. I might give season 3 a try but we are also running low on attendance as of late with only about 10 drivers submitting times each week.

Hopefully you'll take part in at least some of the races. I don't take part in the FRS because I hate hot-lapping. :yuck: I enjoy racing with a good group of guys. :)

I've got my mind set on buying a house, so that is consuming all my free time now. So don't expect to see me online too much! :P

I totally get that. I think its just the times you are available that dictates what mode you can play. I can't always guarantee I will be available on Saturdays to race in a club setting. However, I know that I have time before work in the morning to get a few hot-laps in.

Someone like Forcone might benefit from the FRS because when/if he finds time from buying a home, he can quickly check the race event for that week and get a few laps in.

I just don't know that we will ever see as much participation because we are essentially a 2nd party Forza site that doesn't see the traffic as GTP or FM.net. Ill admit I didnt keep up much wroth the first 2 seasons but maybe this time around I will find time to see the start date and restrictions. Its been so long since I have played competitively online against GOOD, CLEAN racers.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from with the availability issue. The good thing about our season championship is you only get points for your highest 5 or 6 finishes out of 8 or 9 races...that way you're not penalized for missing races. I missed a few races and still finished pretty high in the final standings. BTW, you might not want Forcone to take part in FRS. He's an alien and a hot-lapping beast. Definitely one of the fastest guys out there.

Well I may have a 2nd job detailing cars at my local BMW dealer. I think I will still have Saturdays open especially in the am. If all works out I will be getting some clubsport v2 pedals and most likely a rig fairly soon. :D

Congrats on the CSP's Chris, you'll love them. Is there any way we can come up with a time that works for everybody? Early is no good for Jimbo but Hamster and Chris have said later is no good for them. :boggled: Pretty much any time on Saturdays is good for me....as long as it isn't too late in the evening.

I haven't looked back on past threads or posts but were Sundays unavailable for most? Seems Sundays would be the relaxation day for most but that could also mean relaxation from games too!

Either way, I support majority rules so if I have to miss the races, I can still tally up points and all the 'FUN' stuff. I am sure we will figure something out, still another week+ before season 3.

A question about the Sandbag system. So the top qualifiers are limited in their PI allowed. Does this only affect the top 3 or will it allow more PI the lower you qualify for all participating members?

And another question that ties in with the first- If we go with the Sandbag System, should we increase the qualifying points to deter purposely-slow qualifying? I honestly don't see this as an issue but just wondering!

Have some Season 3 testing go on, that should answer that for ya. :P
Also Sundays work awesome for me at least. Even if I get promoted I should still have Sundays off.

Rewarding the slowest drivers is no problem untill they are going for top positions, then it would be a little unfair..

Sunday isn't the best for me, but I could do it as long as the races start before 9:00am EST or between 2:00pm and 3:00pm EST....weird hours I know. I work a lot of Saturdays and Sundays, I just have a little more free time on Saturdays. BTW I'm the #2 ranked tuner in the world of Forza 4 right now. :D

Well I wouldn't say that later is no good... just would prefer earlier.

Congrats Wiggs on getting #2. Way to represent FPM!

Thanks Chris. I'm trying to put together some more good tunes to grab the #1 spot.

Wiggs is da man!!!!! You still need alot of points for first place though :( Anything we can help you with?

Aaaaand I'm maybe buying a gameseat, e-mailing with the guy about the price... :indiff: I hope I get it for the price I have in mind, then next month I can order a wheel with pedals!

Thanks Carlos. 2nd place is higher than I've been ranked in anything in a videogame before, so I'm happy with that. ;) I'm still gonna try to get the top spot though....fair and square. You know you're gonna be pretty slow when you first get your rig/wheel setup. I won't have much trouble beating you until you adjust to your wheel. :D Which wheel are you looking at? CSR Elite?

If the club downloads all your tunes, would that help? :D First place would be really cool.

The CSR Elite is a little bit too much money because I also need the pedals and a shifter. That would be €710,-. (If I'm going with the elite pedals) If I'm going with the "Forza Motorsport CSR Wheel Value Pack XL", I get the CSR wheel, CSR Elite pedals and the CSR H-shifter for €360,-. Then I can race on Forza and still get food!! :D I'm guessing after a few months when I'm adjusted to my new wheel and totally kick your ass (), my birthday is coming up and I easily raise money for a CSR Elite! The seat I'm going for would cost me around €150,- and looks like this:

The shifter holder is included. It's fallen out the back of a truck, if you know what I mean. :D
