Dead Nation and Wipeout HD are the two I will choose.👍

For those who feel this way....get rid of your system, don't buy another Sony product, buy something else or don't and be done with it, simple.👍

This is what I was preaching against! I love my ps3 and the PSN outage really didn't make an impact on the way I live my life. I'm all for the free stuff as well, but people have the right to be upset with Sony. Let people have opinions rather than acting like anyone against Sony's reparations only form of actions are extreme ultimatums. Let them blow off some steam, no sweat off your back.

It's not contradictory, the 2 of 5 free games has nothing to do with psn+

I am not being selfish, not at all.

I respect sony for giving out content like this but I want to know whether we can keep these games to play after the one month of PSN+ expires.

im not one to complain about free games.. after all it is a free service they are providing and there is still no proof of credit cards being missused due to the hack + they are offering insurance to people that are a victim of this crime.

BUT

im shocked that there wasnt one racing title ( if you exclude wipeout hd that is) as gt5 is the only reason i have a ps3 other games i have include dirt, grid, etc.
i thought they would have mixed it up a little.. maybe 1 rpg, 1 fps, 1 racing, 1 family, etc etc to cater for more gaming stereotypes

but like i said im not one to complain ill happily give infamous and wipeout HD a try.

anyways keep up the good work sony!
well done to the network team which im sure have had their work cut out for them over the last few weeks

If you properly read the first post in this thread, you can clearly see the US PS Blog state: 'and can be kept forever'

Thanks, that's great. Then I'm all for this.

I was mistaken by the part saying available for 30 days.

I'm going to get Ratchet and Clank along with inFamous.
Thanks Sony!
Feel free to take PSN down for another 3 weeks, I want more free games. 💡

Exactly as I said to you on WLN, I would recommend LBP to those who missed out on it but as I had it that's removed from the decision and I'll take the 2 fully fledged titles rather than either of the other 2 👍.

I already have 2 of the best games on that list: infamous and LBP. Wipeout HD looks like fun. Not sure what my second choice will be, cuz I'm not into zombies.

That's if they don't limit it to 2 per console, unless you have 2 consoles?

I'm a lone gamer, don't need a 2nd. But chances are it's per PS3, and I'm onl interested in Wipeout and Stardust, so I don't even mind if can't get the other 2.

Of the PS3 games, the only one I don't have is Superstardust. I think I will DL that and WipeoutHd +Fury since I never picked up Fury. For the PSP I will get LBP,and am undecided between Modnationracers and Killzone Liberation. Probably MNR since I loved it on PS3.

Any proof they are the prices they paid?
My proof is the known fact that when you order bulk you get it cheaper, this isn't grocery store bulk either, this is 50million items bulk...

Yes, conveniently enough, it's in the part you edited out of my post.

1) Any proof those aren't the prices they paid? (Keep in mind that chart is from 2009 when the Slim was announced, prices have come down since, even still I can't find a Toshiba 120GB for 38.00, there is one for $43, but that's on sale at Newegg and originally $50, not to mention Blu Ray drives just recently went down to that price on the chart and that's for desktop size drives)

3) Even if they did get a bulk cost(which is usually at most 5%) your numbers are still way off as it doesn't take into account production and development costs.

The fact it's hard, two years later to find stuff as cheap as listed on that chart, is sort of proof. Bulk order or not, those are not the street prices we pay.

Yeah it's true. It's just easier to get a larger hard drive for the same money. I think one of the main reasons is that they stock less hard drives that are smaller than what goes into laptops nowadays(250GB HDD is in a lot of low-end laptops. You would have a hard time finding a laptop with a 120GB HDD).

Don't know if we can download games from all accounts, but I'll choose Infamous (which is rather big game) and Wipeout because I never picked up Fury add-on.

InFamous and Dead Nation for me, but does anyone have any idea of the sizes of these games? I might have to uninstall GT5 to fit them on my HD :(

Nice.

I was late to the PS3 party (waited until GT5 came out before buying one), so I don't have any of those games. Seeing as I own a PSP as well, it's even better news.

I would get InFAMOUS and WipeoutHD for PS3, and LBP and ModNation for PSP :)

Do we have verification if you get downloads from different regions if you have accounts with those regions? Or are you limited to the region where your physical ISP is located?

Courtesy of FoolKiller and icelt from the PSN thread..

inFamous: 6.9GB I'd imagine LBP is similar in size. If I recall Wipeout is 1 or 1.5 gb, and the other two are likely in the 500mb range. If I were at home I could look up the file size for Superstardust and Wipeout.

Trolling the web it looks like SSD-HD is about 700 MB's, Wipeout HD 1 GB and the Fury add-on another 700+ MB's.

Robin.

Hopefully it means EU gets to keep it forever as well. However it later says this
* Access to the free games and exclusive features finishes at the end of the 30-day subscription period. Anything you buy with exclusive discounts, dynamic themes and premium avatars are yours to keep forever.
. I'm hoping this means free PSPlus games, not the welcome back games:crazy:

That's a cool story bro, now try play games with that PSN account "via any web browser". When you buy the playstation, your paying for the use of the PSN.

So now it has some relevance to the games? Funny, because last I checked PSN was a fully functional online service with or without games. At best you're trying to argue semantics. I guess you also believe that for those who have no intention of shelling over the additional premium for LIVE Gold are also paying for access to Silver in the initial cost of a 360?

What's with people defending Sony? Regardless of what you think, you do pay for PSN however indirectly it may be. Sony doesn't provide free PSN because they're nice, it's a selling point for their product.

I don't know where the two of you are getting this from, but unless you have proof your claim is just as empty as his. If you were paying for PSN in any regard, no matter how small, there would be a surcharge when making an account online. But guess what? There isn't.

It's also a service you expect when you take the initial plunge and buy a console. When a service that is expected to be fully functional goes down for an extended period of time the company providing the service should be held responsible. Same goes for the fact that us consumers trusted sony with our personal information. Sony has held itself accountable as they should have.

To some narrow extent that's true, but it seems like you're either forgetting or completely ignoring the fact Sony didn't willingly "pull the plug" on PSN. The hackers had a starring role in PSN's downtime.

People have every right to be upset with Sony and disappointed with the way they're trying to bribe people with mediocre games and a pretty lame Identity theft programs.

Except it's only a "bribe", as you put it, if the party or parties involved succumb to that "bribe". Otherwise it's just a vain attempt at persuasion at best.
