Just for Indy 500.

I wanted to be an independent because it wasn't likely I would do the whole season but I'm considering teams now.

What I like about Indy, is that even if you have an accident, you're not out of the game. You just have to bide your time and wait for the next caution, so strategy is an important factor.

I've been really, really let down so far by my setup. Indy is where I can actually put some decent pace in.

Indy I don't think will have many yellows in all honesty when field is spread out. Cars will hit walls, drop 1/2 laps down... but it will be fascinating to see strategies.

The base setup is in the first 3 posts somewhere.

I just used that and made some personal changes to the dampers, arb and toe angle settings. The LSD and gearing is still stock pretty much, just adjust the speed for the tracks.

My race went to s:censored: when *Insert name here* came on the track right in front of me and gave me damage, so I had to pit 5 laps early and my strategy went to hell.

Also, why was I sent to the back of the grid?

Did you exit track before the race?

I run something very similar to that. Tyre life is what kills me, I was down to about 5 all round after 10 laps.

My longest stint was 23 laps and that was my fastest stint too. Left rear was 6 and front right was 8 and the rest were 7 when I pitted.

Started off with a 19.7, then a 19.9, then a 19.8 and a few more 19s then a few low 20's so it was faster than usual while also going longer.

I was running the setup in the OP and was able to do 26 laps on tyres for my middle stint. Pitted with 6 on the front left and 7 on the others

It's a balancing act - All out speed or a bit of aero?
I ran full aero. After what you said on the mic, I pretty much agreed with you on not many people running full aero. It was good for the first corner though, since I was able to brake very late and defend through turn 1 about 10 times.
