Speaking of which, think OP needs a revamp
Something like this?

Can everyone quit moaning it's like Vettel and Alonso whinging on the radio on Sunday. Also regarding the Specs, @Yeratel84 and @snowgt have won races this season while i've struggled compared to them, having to pre qualify at 2 out of the last 3 events. I know that i'm not as fast as them as they are usually between 1% or 2% quicker than me on average. The car didn't get any changes but got slightly nerfed as they haven't won a race in a few meetings.

What? Since 1.09 @snowgt won a race at AH and I won two races, one at Spa and another at Nurb... before that we only had 1 win each in season opener at BH Indy...

Get one of the drivers that specced the cars in the first place like @paulmac2k9 or @FordMKIVJ5 to test the Renault at the old spec and test it at the new spec and see what the difference is if it's too slow then come to a compromise other or nerf the car if it's still too quick

+1 👍

The Honda is better than the Mazda.
@Carbonox

Well, duh... :P

To tell the truth, I haven't noticed any shifts in car-performance post-1.09 that couldn't be explained by the nature of the tracks we were on.

On Apricot Hill I got the win mainly because I was starting on the front row in a reverse grid. Andil couldn't catch up fast enough before his tyres went. I was on midfield-pace that weekend as was expected. The uphill back-straight just didn't suit the Nissan too well. Compared to the Renault and Ford the difference seemed like it was before.

A good benchmark for performance was Spa R1. I was leading after the start, Nin and Andil went by on sheer power/acceleration and Nin was certainly fastest of us three by a bit. Andil & me were probably about even over the whole race, with the Renault's characteristics completely as expected. We still finished less than 5 seconds apart (2 seconds of which were from the last lap only because of a scramble between Andil & me, so the differences were rather small)

Nürburgring GP/D is a power-track. It's no surprise the Renault was faster than the Ford and the Nissan there. (Never mind that @Yeratel84 won a race there - that was a freak occurrence, if ever there was one)

I'm not saying that there weren't subtle shifts after the update, I really can't rule that out, but it's hard to base that on the last three races. Tracks that would always have suited certain cars tend to cloud the overall picture. It's as if you place all of one kind of track at the beginning of a season and the other type of track at the end, and then you adapt the BoP mid-season, because the type of car best suited to the second part of the season couldn't keep up in the first half.

We did know before the season that the Renault was one of the fastest on the straights. Was there any doubt that it would almost be unbeatable in the hands of Andil at GP/D? Is it really surprising that the Renault having the top-speed and acceleration that it has, is well suited for reverse grid races, because it just has the tools to give its driver some easy passes? There wasn't for me, and there shouldn't have been for anyone else during the extensive pre-season. Is it frustrating sometimes when you see certain cars pulling away from you while you're in their slipstream? Hell, yeah. But that doesn't make it unfair.

If you want these advantages you have to choose a car that actually provides those and not complain during the season for having chosen the wrong car. Qualifying and R1's are the best benchmark for actual level of performance on a weekend and I haven't seen anything there that would scream for a spec-change. That's just my personal opinion.

I have to agree that my win at Nurb was a fluke, resulting of me being able to pass HSV at the hairpin on the first lap and then being able to gain enough of a gap to keep Andil at bay, as well as being able to post consistent laptimes when it mattered the most (when Reno's tyres started giving up before mine did as well)...

Was also helped by the fact me and andi couldn't clear scania and Chris quick enough as well

Probably won't make the rest of the season. I'm at Castle Combe this weekend and then abroad the weekend after. This season hasn't really happened for me. One weekend at Willow and loosing out by 0.003 at Nürb is all I've got to say for it...

Is it bad that all I can think of is, "Oh boy, an easier pre-Q session!"

Right chances are creeping up that I can not just do 1 race at Brands but 2 races.]

EDIT: Can do 2 races provided there is no delays.

In case someone is interested in adjusted standings incl. dropped rounds (dropped points in brackets):

Andil 266 (0)
Ninners 239 (0)
Yeratel 181 (0)
Snowcrash 167 (21)
Roflwaffle 149 (16)
Siggers 148 (9)
DrifterJoe 147 (20)
Scaniabebe 139 (0)
AMD87 135 (0)

Ironically, after advocating the dropped score, this season it apparently hurts me the most.

It's still good to have it.

I'm sure there's a spare fiesta in the car park..... Not that I would condone anything like that......or done it previously......

New engine going in I see

Ah cheers guys haha, it's the first time car has run since my accident and it seems the engine had an issue from it - it blew after about 10 laps without warning, no oil pressure light, no high temperatures.

I run with a big team though and a couple of our mechanics swapped the engine out during the day, which means I'm now using the spare engine - Ran it from 6-8pm on track this evening and it was ok, not as strong as the other motor but it'll have to do. Got quali tomorrow and 2 races on Sunday, 27 cars on our grid so going to be tough especially if the motor isn't strong.
